I have used LV for many years and been happy when they have dealt with several claims and their competitive fee. My only criticism recently is the location of the claim department has move to where En... See more

The process of insuring my car with your company was easy and straight forward. The rates were more competitive than another companies.
We have adopted rescue dog and been told there is nothing wrong with him. The day we got them as a responsible people we have signed up for insurance and made first available appointment with vets to get him vaccinated and checked up. Unfortunately 11 days into insurance it was determined by vet that he has a hernia that is affecting his behaviour as he is in pain. So without hesitation we have agreed for a surgery. I have phoned up insurance and asked if the surgery will be covered and lady on a phone confirmed that it will. After the surgery we have submitted our claim and got it declined due to the technicality of 14 days after taking a policy his condition had been classed as pre existing. The vet had tried to talk to insurance in person on our behalf as most insurances would still cover it, or cover it in part. However, this provider had refused. I understand there are rules, but you need to get some humanity and compassion skills. We did not got a dog and waited 16 months to get him insured to take him to vets. We got him and insured him the very first day we rescued him. So of course to our disappointment we have replaced this insurance with more compassionate provider that understands life. You should be ashamed of your decision. Just because you have rules, you would have preferred dog to suffer extra 3 days to pay the bill. Would have you paid the bill, you would have increased our premium regardless and we would have stayed being your customers. You did not retained us as a customer, but hope this will bring some light into your minds…

Fantastic easy to speak to someone and very professional

Being able to speak with someone that works with the company is very helpful. The most important part is the price which was lowered as requested as the new price was extortionate.

I was quoted online a price through a third party within the allotted time period, I tried to accept the offer and the website crashed. I then had to come directly to you as I needed to set up the policy for the following day. The quote I got was for a much higher excess so I phoned customer services, who was really unhelpful and then cut the call off which I find not only rude but exceptionally poor customer service.
Don’t offer prices if you aren’t willing to honour them.
Update
Having received a reply below, I have just emailed as you requested only for my email to bounce back, you can’t even get your complaints process right!! Shocking!!!

My 87 year old mother has a home insurance policy with Emergency Care insurance.
Called on 4/11/26 as her upstairs toilet will not flush. Dangerous at night for a frail person to descend the stairs t use the loo. Waited ages on the phone to get put through to Emergency Care- now over 24 hours and not a hard anything from LV - no engineer appointment- silly Whatsapp which also does not deliver any out come. Am going to ask for a refund on the insurance.
