Elmo is THE guy!!
My absolute first time selling any business, let alone on Flippa. The brand I sold I began at 21yrs old and has been dormant, on top of it I just recently have a 3 week newborn, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect and Elmo was an all-star being so proactive and helping me the entire course of the deal. From first talks to the buyer to payment transfer the entire process took maybe 4 days, super pleased.

I sold my website on Flippa after a few months. Even after the paid window expired, a representative helped me message potential buyers and eventually connected me with 2 offers. The escrow process made everything feel safe as we made the transfer. This would have been much harder to do on my own, and I would likely have sold for less.

The best and worst parts of Flippa
The best part about Flippa were two things:
1. It connected me to my buyer.
2. The transaction was completed.
However, if I could have done the transaction without Flippa, I would have done so. It greatly expanded the process and timeline of what would have been a fairly simple and quick transaction. In each step, Flippa significantly delayed the process through multiple reviews, excessive paperwork,
And mounds of red tape. Don’t expect to be done quickly no matter the scale of the transaction. I understand security and scrutiny, but at some point I’d like to just get the deal done, fully done.
Each step ended up taking at least a business week to accomplish. This extended the deal completion by nearly two months.
In summary, I’d use Flippa again, but only if I’d completely exhausted the possibility of finding a buyer offline.
With that being said, the sale advisor, though somewhat superfluous, was helpful in guiding me through the process and ensuring consistent communication across all parties towards the goal.

We may permanently remove Flippa account access when we determine there are serious ethical violations and/or those of our Terms. These include, but are not limited to:
- links to previously sanctioned accounts
- shill bidding to artificially increase the sale price
- intent to take deals outside Flippa
- self-promotional or abusive messages
- false claims of identity, false claims of performance, or ownership of listed assets or other listing integrity issues
- excessive lost disputes

Disastrous waste of time run by criminals
I'm afraid that the vast majority of reviews of Flippa on Trustpilot appear to be fake, probably incentivized content after a support experience or something of that nature.
I paid $49.99 to list a rather unique and valuable tech startup with quite a lot of novel intellectual property attached to it on Flippa for one year. Almost ten months have now passed and all that has come to me via their platform is a credit-card phishing email that was branded, positively decked out really, in full Flippa style but went to an alternate domain. Analysis of the code headers of the email message revealed that despite efforts to subtly make the message look fake, the phishing message had factually originated on Flippa's own email server.
I sent full documentation of this incident to my Flippa sales/business development contact. Screenshots of every stage of the phishing intake, from the fully graphically rendered email in my inbox, throughout all of the forms intended to induce victims to enter personal account details. I even went through the entire process with a personal virtual card with a zero balance and documented every stage of the subsequent scam. I also sent a text file of the entire code of the phishing email to Flippa, demonstrating clearly that the email allegedly sent from the sender "FIipp Team via Flippa" had factually originated on their servers.
No response was provided. I'd obviously like a refund, because I don't exactly make a habit of funding financial scam provocations against myself, but I won't hold my breath. I recommend avoiding Flippa.
