Damaged goods/no care

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Ordered new wheels which they proceeded to damage during shipping. Basically didn't want to know about it. Not even so much as an apology for the damage.

Lost item

4 of the same item coming from the same place and somehow they lose 1. Nor did they call or email to let me know the delivery wouldn't be made by the scheduled date.

I am in the process of trying to find…

I am in the process of trying to find out where my parcel actually is. Speaking to customer service is frustrating as I get treated as though my concerns aren't valid. They are now starting a second investigation into the parcels whereabouts. So I'm guessing that in another 24-48 hours I'll have to call them again as getting back to me and letting me know what's going on is not something that they do. Like other people who have written reviews I would definitely not deal with them again and will be checking to see who is sending the parcel in future. If it's this totally untrustworthy and incompetent company no deals will be made. Stay well clear of these rude incompetent shitheads

Customer Service Needs Serious Improvement

I was expecting delivery of some car parts yesterday, but after receiving no update, I checked the tracking and could see the item had been sitting in the Mandurah depot since the previous day.

I called Direct Freight Express today to find out what was happening and was genuinely surprised by how poor the customer service was. The representative I spoke with seemed completely uninterested in helping. There was no apology for the delay, no empathy, and no acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused. I was simply told that the item was still at the depot and would be sent out tomorrow.

Delays happen, and most customers understand that. What I found unacceptable was the complete lack of customer care. When a customer takes the time to call for an update, the bare minimum should be some level of professionalism, ownership, and courtesy.

The delay itself was frustrating, but the dismissive attitude and lack of care left a far worse impression than the missed delivery.

Absolutley the worst frieght company i have ever delt with.
We were looking at having a large volume of furnoture products supplied. We did a sample purchase and its been lost, not delivered. After multiple phone calls they expected me to contact the supplier, their customer and find out what the box looled like, just ridiculous. I have contacted the supplier and will have the sample picked up direct from then and will stipulate NOT TO USE direct freight if they want oir business
I sughest everyone else does the same .

Tracking all the way

Received tracking all along the way from Melbourne to Bega via Sydney which took only 3 business days. The service was a lot cheaper and faster than Aust Post. It is good to have a carrier serving so many locations that can be depended on.

Unfortunately there isn't a zero rating…

Unfortunately there isn't a zero rating for them I could select from.

After calling them to make a complaint I was told there is no complaint department. Then after asking the supervisor, she told me that for complaints to call customer service.

To which, I then explained that customer service (No 1 in the automated message), is what I selected and ended up talking to her.

Realizing she was caught out she proceeded to take my complaint. As it turns out the local depots cannot print return labels even if you have the consignment and return authority numbers. According to her the label is printed in Sydney and then it is driven down by a driver to the local depot.

Not emailed through. Hand delivered by a driver.

(Prior to making my complaint), I was unable to print a label so I drove to the local depot here in Albury with the consignment and return authority numbers to drop off a parcel to them and have it sent.

But nooooooo, that's not how Direct freight operates.|

I was greeted in the carpark and turned away because my parcel didn't have a label. I didn't even make it in the front door.

Also, no where in the email did it say:

"DO NOT GO TO YOUR LOCAL DEPOT, FOR THEY CANNOT PRINT LABEL'S".

Most useless delivery system with terrible customer service ever. Do not recommend.

Delivered to wrong address

Parcel was delivered to the wrong address!
Up a very steep road. I had to go up there myself and carry a 4kg parcel down the very steep road.
Terrible company to contact and no contact to make a complaint.
I will contact the company that I purchased from and let them know.
Never will I buy from a company that uses them.
As I can now see by all the terrible reviews they have!

Useless

Useless, expect deliveries to be misplaced and stolen. They have a terrible rating even on here where reviews generally protect companies. It’s a disgrace. Bad service. Incompetent and dangerous drivers. Waste of money.

What a joke

What a joke. Stupid tracking system that is incorrect, and then a b*tch on the phone that said "most people understand this by now". I would never ever deal with a company like this deliberately, there's so many there out there, don't choose this one.

They steal from every honest hard worker

These people are the most unprofessional ruthless company I've had to deal with besides roadrunner.im severally disabled and their postal person twice got caught tossing items over my fence because I had a puppy.the second time the puppy actually ripped all my items up and when I exercised my right as a consumer for the photo of the item being delivered I was faced with argument instead of the photo from both this command road runners Rosny park.eventullu I went back and forth between each company before it was provided which is meant to actually happen when it's being delivered.the parcel was put right next to the pup in the photo and I stated what if it had of been something harmful but it was done now I lost sheets I think the worst part was the abuse I copped and yes I got a bit flushed back I had not long lost my son and have PTSD..then the real trouble started!they started playing games with my parcels ..... sending some back telling others ide have to collect them and charge my NDIS workers to go pick them up but still collect the delivery fee,!the worst of it was when I was threatening to take roadrunners(their partner courier) to court because I cannot understand things properly I always have my phone on loud speaker so my workers can help with everything and so they knew all along there was no wrong doing on my part and were happy to go to court and then a major player rang and threatened me from direct freight almost like it was like a male speaking to a female from back in the 16 hundreds he left me shaking and in tests and highly suicidal over POST.SINCE THAT DAY THIS COMPLANY AND ROADRUNNERS HAVE CONTINUED TO MAKE MY LIFE HAVOC LIKE YESTERDAY SENFING A MESSAGE SAYING WERE COMING THEN I FIGURED THEY WOULD NOT AND SURE ENOUGH RTS.BUTU SUPER PAYOUT DUE IN A NONTH AND I WILL FINALLY TAKE IT TO COURT AND GET TO AT LEAST SEE A COUPLE OF THEM IN TROUBLE FOR THE HELL THEY HAVE CAUSED AND THE MONEY YHEY HAVE TAKEN

Delivery disatisfaction

Received email advising delivery would be next business day. Phoned to find out a rough time as i'm a tradie on the road. Was told to call back the next morning after 10.30 and they could oblige. Phoned at 10.40 and was told parcels had already been delivered! Took me half an hour to get home to find my 3 parcels (4ft x 2 ft) sitting on my front door step in full view of the street! ($1500 of gear). Not good enough.

Excellent service

Can not fault this company. Have received few deliveries through them and each time arrived on time, in good condition. Drivers always very professional, polite, leave delivery in place requested and go the extra mile to provide excellent customer service.

They didnt deliver!

I paid for door to door delivery, i noticed the tracking showed the item at a Rural Depot twice and showing it was out for delivery... twice, on the 5th, i expected delivery at some stage, after 6 days i called and asked where the package is and what rural depot it was sitting at.. they didnt know, but would find out and get back to me, another 5 days later i got a breif email saying that its sitting at a depot in the next town, 2 hours away, and i have to go pick it up as they will not deliver it.. no compensation, disgusting.. i would NEVER choose this company to deliver anaything if i have the choice.. charging for a delivery then not honouring the agreement, piss poor

2 F's not given... ever

We use them all the time because they were here when i started but that is about to change. I am not happy at all with their service. After they have your parcel, they specialise in dodging care and responsibility. An example (there are many)... We sent a parcel to Queensland from Sydney. On the way there, their truck burned to the ground. We enquired where our consignment was after it said on tracking that it hadn't left Sydney yet. They had no answer. 2 weeks later after constant enquiry they said it was a total loss in the fire and that they didn't know it was on there. They said they don't track it after they get it until it gets to the other end. They had no idea where it was. And although the total loss was entirely their fault (and they know it) the said it was my problem. I said a credit was in order to compensate our loss and they said we could apply for a return of our shipping cost. We are currently looking for another freight company

Irresponsable and inefficient

These people have the excuse that because they use third parties to do their deliveries is ok for them to be late. And they say that it is not their responsibility because they are not doing their deliveris but another company the hired.
Very dissapointed and very upsetting.
I will tryi to stay away from these people

THEY BREAK YOUR STUFF

Sent an item in perfect condition. Careful packaging and labelling to indicate it was fragile and must be handled with care. Arrived completed damaged very clearly mishandled, apparently fragile means throw it on the ground. Spoke to them on the phone and was advised to go ahead and submit the warranty claim and photos, shouldn't have an issue! Direct Freight then rejected the claim and takes no responsibility for destroying it. Hndreds of dollars down the drain. Just another absolutely useless transport company.
