The insurer only provides documentation in german (not even english). Unusable in an international setting.

It was very fast and easy to sign up.
Registering for the insurance was easy and its a good deal!
One of the worst insurance companies I…
One of the worst insurance companies I have ever dealt with. They don't respond to emails, claims, or issues. My insurance rate increased from 76 to 109 euros after three months without notification. It would be safer to drive without insurance than to be insured with them.

Extremely poor customer support
Extremely poor customer support. I don't know how they have a good rating.
Try sending an email. Firstly, it will take forever to find a way. If you manage somehow, they will take forever to reply.

Stay away please
If you have legal insurance, then take their car insurance. Because bavaria won't pay for your Vollkasko claim without going to the court.
It's been 4+ months since I am waiting for my claim resolved. Sent lawyer letter with deadline. Now going to the court. They made a lame reason to deny my claim. They found some unrelated minor damage from past to my car(i e some scratches), that's why they won't settle accident claim. Those scratches are not related & I did not claim for it.
Stay away from this company guys!!

Better speak to a wall than subscribe with BavariaDirekt
I don't think I could have experience such low quality service from a German company.
Not once, but twice Bavariadirekt made it so complicated and impossible to contact them. First with a Kfz-versicherung; expensive but also almost impossible to cancel because of one simple thing: THEIR WEBSITE IS INSANELY BAD.
Right now, I have paid my Haftpflichtversicherung on the 09.2025, just connected on my account, had to change my password. And yet, facing the same error as always "403 - Zugang verweigert" (let's remind you that I am connected).
Due to this particularity it is impossible for me to get access to my documents, change data on my account (my residence for example) or even cancel my subscription.
Honestly, I would not recommend BavariaDirekt; too much issues with this institution. Which is even more problematic as in part connected to Sparkasse.

Catastrophic Insurance Company – Months of Delays, Ignorance, and Unprofessional Conduct
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this insurance company to anyone. My experience has been entirely negative and marked by incompetence, poor communication, and a deeply disrespectful attitude toward customers.
On the night of October 19, I was involved in a traffic accident. I immediately informed the insurance company. On the morning of October 20, I received an email directing me to a specific repair shop for damage assessment. I went to the recommended workshop the very same day; all necessary inspections were carried out, and I was told that I would be contacted. So I waited.
After some time, I was informed that a police report was required. I contacted the relevant authorities, who clearly stated that such a document can only be requested by the insurance company or their lawyers and cannot be handed over to private individuals.
I also contacted the other party involved in the accident, who told me that all of their matters had already been settled and that no documents had been requested from them.
I contacted the insurance company again — countless emails, not a single response. I tried calling as well; after dozens of attempts, I finally managed to speak to someone, only to be told once again that I personally had to obtain the police report.
After a great deal of effort, I eventually managed to obtain this document for a fee and sent it to the insurance company immediately, explicitly requesting urgent action, as weeks had already passed since the accident.
As expected: no response.
I sent more emails — again, no reply whatsoever. When I called again, I was told that the documents had been received and that I would be informed. That never happened.
Shortly before Christmas, I called once more. Every single call involved a waiting time of at least 30 minutes. I was then told that the documents had been forwarded to the repair shop and that they would contact me.
When I contacted the repair shop myself, I was informed that no documents had been received.
Somehow, I eventually managed to secure an appointment for February 5, which is three and a half months after the accident. To this day, I have still not been informed whether the repair will actually take place on that date.
My emails continue to be ignored, and when I call, I am not taken seriously. In some cases, the staff even speak in a mocking and disrespectful manner.
In addition, this insurance company changed my contracts without my consent: although I did not exceed the annual mileage limit, they increased both last year’s and next year’s mileage limits, placing a significant financial burden on me. To make matters worse, I was cynically told: “If you stay below the limit, we will refund the money.”
When it comes to collecting money, this insurance company is extremely proactive. When it comes to providing the actual service, however, customers are left waiting for months with damaged vehicles and are clearly treated as if they were foolish.
All I want is to receive the service I have been paying insurance premiums for. I chose this company because I believed it to be reputable — today, I deeply regret that decision.
If you want to save yourself frustration, wasted time, and stress, think twice before signing a contract with this insurance company. Learn from my experience — do not become the next victim.

After being told if I change insurance…
After being told if I change insurance they would cancel my old insurance, I made a insurance with them and they took the money out of my account for 3 months, around 50euros each month.
Then, received information that they couldn’t cancel my old insurance and after some time they sent me 200euros.
Soon after I’m receiving mails from a company called pair finance that I needed to pay 80 euros… after replying multiple times asking why I had to pay 80, they kept sending accounts to transfer the money, and changed to 150 euros..,
Finally they replied that someone made a mistake and made that payment… and now I have to pay 3 times more…
I’m not German and only lived there for 1 year, so maybe the translations made me not understand everything correctly.
But in the end someone sent 50 euros more to me and now I’m being threatened if I don’t pay the 145 they want… awful experience!!!

Very easy to insured my car
After receiving my eVB no response from the insurance
The contract could not be finalized online. After contacting the insurer by email we received our eVB by email. So far so good. Since then, we tried to reach out to the insurer either by emai or by phone several times to finalize the contract with no reply whatsoever. Our calls were hung up on the basis that our German was not good enough. After 2 weeks from the registration we received a letter saying that if we do not finalize the contract our insurance will be cancelled and the insurer will not respond of the related costs. We tried again several times to contact the insurer with no response whatsoever. Absent any reply I see myself force to contact a lawyer.
