House of Imports MBZ in Buena Park

House of Imports MBZ in Buena Park, CA
My recent experience at House of Imports was deeply disappointing. As an auto industry professional, I expected a level of service and respect your team completely failed to deliver.

1. High-Pressure Finance Tactics
I explicitly stated my monthly budget was strictly maxed in the high $600s. Despite this, the finance manager aggressively pushed GAP and extended warranties. When I declined, they "T.O.'d" (turned me over) to a second manager to pressure me further. The relentless pushing only stopped when I changed my tone, showed my occupational license, and explained I work in auto refinancing with NALN. I shouldn't have to flash industry credentials to get your staff to respect my budget and finish my paperwork.

2. We Know the Industry
You chose the wrong customer for these outdated tactics. I used to sell Mercedes-Benz at Calstar Motors in Glendale, and my wife is an ICO manager at Cerritos Ford. We know this business. In this economy, dealerships should value every client instead of relying on aggressive, old-school sales tactics.

3. Unprofessional Presentation
The showroom standards were shocking for a luxury brand. Sales staff wearing jeans with Mercedes polos looks sloppy. Having worked at Kia in Irvine and Cerritos where we wore slacks, a premium brand like Mercedes-Benz shouldn't be out-dressed by Kia.

Final Verdict
House of Imports has lost my business. I am buying two more Mercedes vehicles soon, and they will be bought elsewhere. I am sharing this on Yelp, the BBB, and social media.

Really poor service from Mercedes

Really poor service from Mercedes of Stockport, failed to order parts, meaning 150 mile wasted round trip for service. Failed to perform service correctly. advised my son to drive an unroadworthy car, did not meet commitments on price. There was no interest in the complain at dealer level, and they lied to Mercedes about the complaint who did not seem to care. It has now been escalated to the Motoring Ombudsman, but we won't buy another Mercedes

Mercedes Colindale in London

Mercedes Colindale in London - which I think is Synter

Update from service in June-2026.

I waited over an hour in the reception area after being told the car was ready for collection - they had forgotten to do the MOT which was one of the main item to be done.

Also, the garage seems to have lost my engine sump insulation. Monique was meant to call me back on this, but I am still waiting - nearly 3 weeks later.

Again, the car not even cleaned properly. I guess I should be grateful the service and MOT was eventually done.

A replacement battery for a hybrid car…

A replacement battery for a hybrid car that is less than 3 years old and has under 30,000 km on the clock isn't covered by the warranty—it's a disgrace! "The best or nothing"? Rubbish, nothing but rubbish! Audi, VW, BMW, Dacia, Hyundai—anything is better than these "Territory Bags"! Scammers, shame on you!

Mercedes Benz Norwich - Shocking!

Mercedes Benz Norwich.
Shocking service. Considering they class themselves as a high end garage, customer service is shocking. Receptionist (face of the showroom) is rude! Having sold a previous car, turns out Mercedes charged for brake fluid change, but never changed it, leading it high level readings which were picked up at a different garage!!!

Brand-New Mercedes-Benz C200 4MATIC…

Brand-New Mercedes-Benz C200 4MATIC Became Inoperable 15 Minutes After Delivery….
I purchased a brand-new 2026 Mercedes-Benz C200 4MATIC from Mercedes-Benz Gülsoy Florya. Shockingly, the vehicle broke down completely approximately 15 minutes after delivery and after traveling only 5 kilometers.
The incident occurred while I was driving on Istanbul's E-5 Highway in heavy traffic. The vehicle suddenly lost functionality and became completely inoperable, creating a serious safety hazard not only for me but also for other road users. Police officers attended the scene, and for safety reasons the vehicle had to be removed by a police tow truck before being transferred to an authorized Mercedes-Benz service center through Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance.
A brand-new premium vehicle becoming stranded on a major highway within minutes of delivery is unacceptable. Such a failure strongly suggests that the vehicle was defective at the time of delivery. This is not a routine mechanical issue or a minor warranty matter—it is a serious defect involving vehicle safety and reliability.
As a result of this incident, I have completely lost confidence in the vehicle. A car that fails within minutes of delivery can no longer be considered reliable or safe.
Immediately after the breakdown, I informed both the dealership and Mercedes-Benz Turkey that I wished to exercise my legal right to reject the defective vehicle and rescind the purchase contract under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502. I clearly stated that I would not accept a repair or replacement of components as a solution.
Despite being the seller and delivering the vehicle, the dealership repeatedly redirected me to Mercedes-Benz Turkey rather than taking responsibility for the situation.
Furthermore, despite numerous written requests, Mercedes-Benz Turkey has failed to provide any official written response. Instead, I received only telephone calls during which I was informed that my request for cancellation of the sale and a refund would not be considered. I was told that the transmission/transmission assembly would simply be repaired or replaced and the vehicle returned to me. As compensation for the inconvenience and safety risk involved, I was offered only one complimentary maintenance service.
What is even more concerning is the lack of transparency throughout the process. I requested the diagnostic findings, technical reports, fault records, and service documentation relating to the failure. However, I was informed that these documents would not be shared with me and that I could only obtain them through legal proceedings. As the legal owner of the vehicle and the person directly affected by this incident, I find this position unreasonable and unacceptable.
To date, I have not received any written technical explanation identifying the root cause of the failure. Neither the dealership nor Mercedes-Benz Turkey has provided transparent communication, disclosed technical findings, or demonstrated a constructive approach toward resolving the matter.
A vehicle that becomes completely inoperable within minutes of delivery should not be treated as an ordinary warranty repair case. Consumers purchasing a new Mercedes-Benz expect safety, reliability, transparency, and accountability. In this case, those expectations have not been met.
I expect my legal rights as a consumer to be respected and my request for rescission of the sale and a full refund to be evaluated fairly and objectively.

We bought a brand new Mercedes CLE 300…

We bought a brand new Mercedes CLE 300 cabriolet in March this year. Within the first couple of weeks we noticed we were having problems with the roof hatch cover not closing correctly, thinking it may be just the newness. We rang the dealer thinking they would say bring it down, we’ll have a look. No we had to book it in, a week later we took it in to the dealer. They discovered a motor wasn’t working correctly, it was going to be an urgent request from the manufacturer & would take approximately 3 weeks to arrive. Nearly 6 weeks now, we have had no communication from the dealer. When it does arrive hopefully this will also fix one of the rear windows not going up all the way when the door is shut.

They simply don't care at all

They simply don't care at all. They scam you asking ridiculous money for some features that should be free. ... like satellite views of maps ... when you call them that the claimed functionality does not work they say that my car has missing software coded and I have to visit a local garage to be ripped off again to make something running that should be running in the first place.
After more than a week I did enquire again on what's the state of my case and the only answer that I've got is that they "work hard" with local dealer to sort out my issue. I did requested a refund ... I'll se how that works but the expectation right now is quite low.
Just to be clear but is about Mercedes Benz customer service for Ireland.

Rear wheels safety issue

On May 21st, after only 5,000 km since Kelowna Mercedes dealership replaced both rear air suspension components, the left rear wheel detached completely while driving, and the right rear wheel was found loose. The tow report explicitly confirms this. For 12 business days exchanging emails with Mercedes Canada and Mercedes Kelowna, with no technical explanation as of why this serious safety issue happened, except that the technician didn’t take the wheels off to change the rear air suspension.

At present, Mercedes-Benz Canada’s conclusion appears to rely entirely on the dealership’s internal statement, without any independent technical validation or documented analysis. This leaves a critical gap, particularly given that the concerns raised relate to vehicle condition, workmanship, and safety.

While I understand the independent ownership structure of dealerships, customers engage with authorized Mercedes-Benz retailers with the expectation that the brand stands behind the integrity, quality, and oversight of its network. In situations where there is a clear dispute and unresolved technical concerns, a purely hands-off approach raises broader questions around customer advocacy and accountability.

To be clear, this matter remains unresolved from our perspective due to:
- Lack of a documented technical explanation reconciling the issue
- Absence of an independent or objective review
- Reliance on a single-party account despite conflicting concerns
I approached Mercedes-Benz Canada in good faith to ensure a fair and balanced assessment, but it was met with “please remove your vehicle from the dealership workshop”.
This is a serious safety matter, not merely a service dispute. I have always preferred an amicable resolution with Kelowna Mercedes-Benz. However, customer trust is built on how brands handle serious safety issues — not just routine service. I am very disappointed that this situation has reached this point and wasn’t expected from a brand like Mercedes.

Never buy a Mercedes Benz!

I bought a brand new 2024 Mercedes Benz GLE350 less than 3 years ago. It started making a ticking noise under the hood so I immediately took it to the dealership to get it diagnosed. I was told they could not diagnose it without me paying $4,000 to determine what the root cause is, but they presume I will need a new engine. It has less than 63k miles on it! I’ve gotten oil changes, routine maintainance as required and have taken great care of it. The dealership said I declined recommended services, which any service I declined was not pertinent to an engine (only things such as new brakes, tires, etc.) and the corporate agent I spoke to would not tell me details on what I supposedly declined because she did not have that information but continued to reject my request for good will assistance anyways. If I knew Mercedes Benz was such a cheaply made vehicle with such dissatisfactory customer service I would have never bought the vehicle in the first place. I am extremely disappointed with this situation along with my decision to choose Mercedes Benz. I will actively spread my horrible experience to others and all over the internet so no one else makes the same mistake I did and I will absolutely never recommend Mercedes Benz to anyone!

Crap cars

Crap cars, overpriced garbage. I have had continuous issues with my $170k GLE 400D in warranty, now 6 weeks out of warranty I have had to replace the an engine mount that collapsed, and now steering module is faulty and needs to be replaced as the wipers continue to come on when not raining. It’s only done 65,000 kms. Mercedes charge $330 to diagnose the problem then to replace the Module they want another $2800, they will not cover under good will. Once your warranty is up they treat you like a cash cow. Man my Toyota and Hyundai are better than this for a quarter and a third of the price. I will never, ever by Mercedes again.

To the CEO of Mercedes

To the CEO of Mercedes, I am sure your exec team will intercept this and you will never know how things are operating on the ground. It would be nice if this was forwarded to CEO so you have a better understanding so you can rectify the problems. By the way I am typing this while on hold with Mercedes Customer Complaints (0208 603 9853), i started this morning at 9am and its now 3pm.
Today this was my task: I have a Mercedes S -Class 350 with a service plan, I have to book this car in for a service.
I have purchased a 2024 GLA200 for my wife , so I need to set up a service plan for her and also book her car in for a service.
Thats it !!! since morning I have been on hold (still on hold for complaints) when I do get through I am told that I am being passed to another department then another department each time on hold. (still on hold with complaints) then 4 times calls ended up at Loughton Mercedes where no one ever picks up the phone, I have same issues in past dealing with Loughton, do you know I cant remember last time i got through to Loughton parts, I normally call to buy Mercedes Benz parts but no one picks up the phone, so I end up getting parts elsewhere, other colleagues have the same issue as me. (still on hold with complaints) Mercedes are loosing so much money on parts they could have sold but due to their lack of communication skills we have to buy elsewhere.
Back to todays complaint, this morning first port of call was Mercedes Service Plan, they said that my local Mercedes has to set this up, no one picks phone up, then i called customer servcies , from there passed from pillar to post, then back to loughton wher no one picks the phone up.
Finally at around 3pm I decided to make a formal compliant and there is no one picking up the phone. so I am emailing the CEOs or their exec team to get assistance : see above todays task.
Please can you help me set this up.
Guess what I am still on hold, while I am typing you should know what your service is costing you, when I started chauffering for the Film industry I started on harry potter, there were 300+ Mercedes S Class, cut to the last James Bond Movie ; there were only 50 Mercedes S Class, the rest were Audi A8, BMW 7 series, and Range Rover , In 2 years I am following the other drivers and switching to Audi or Range. Still on hold with complaints. Like the other drivers I dont want to waste time getting a service booked and setting up a plan when no picks up the phone.
Ok its now 16: 18 time to hang up on customer services been on hold for ages, absolute nightmare is Mercedes Benz customer service. Day wasted !!!
Another thing when you go Loughton there are loads of staff on sales, and if you want to buy a new Mercedes calls answered in 3 rings, once you own a Mercedes you go through what i go through above.
Still on hold with compliants - but hanging up now.
Regards , bear the above in mind if you want to buy a Mercedes.

My purchase of an approved used Mercedes

My purchase of an approved used Mercedes Benz through the Sytner group (Watford Mercedes Benz) is the single worst car buying and customer experience to date, as other reviews allude too the support ends once money is exchanged (although I had multiple issues pre purchase too)

The car was miss sold as having full service history
I discovered a fault on the journey home from the dealer (defective front motor)

The car was not properly inspected before sale and in combination with the missing/later services meant Mercedes UK stated the warranty was invalid

The car spent 1 day short of 9 weeks in another Mercedes dealer (Tonbridge) without a courtesy car while all this experience unfolded

The car was eventually returned for a refund and after reporting the issues I was given a John Lewis gift card to cover the 3 months tax, insurance, hire cars, taxi and significant personal time etc wasted

DO NOT USE MERCEDES SUNDERLAND.

DO NOT USE MERCEDES SUNDERLAND.
Absolutely extremley poor customer service from the Sunderland Mercedes dealership. I'm writing this review for my daughter who has been treated disgustuinly and ripped off by Mercedes Sunderland. A young woman of 23 has been taken advantage of by Mercedes Sunderland, she bought a 20k car (screen price), when she got it home it had a squeak coming from the brakes and several noticeable scratches and a large stone chip that you could put your finger in, on the passenger door. Going back to Mercedes Sunderland and several departments managers looking at the car including the workshop technician (who said that it need discs and pads) they agreed to replace the rear discs and brakes FOC and after several discussions, they wanted to buff the scrathes out but one workshop manager said that the door needs painting, and short out the scratches, only for her to pick the car up 2 days later and the scratches are still visible and so is the stone chip on the passenger door. This has not been rectified. The question is though, how can a car that's on the showroom floor advertised to sell at 20K have had an MOT when the technician agreed that the discs and pads needed replacing as soon as my daughter drove it out of the showroom.! This is fraud.! This is illegal. They have not looked at the car prior to selling it and merely just raised the paperwork for a new MOT with faulty brakes!! How can they sell a car that is defective and my daughter taking her life in her hands trusting that Mercedes Sunderland value her as a customer. Overall a very poor service from Mercedes Sunderland. Be Warned. DO NOT BUY FROM MERCEDES SUNDERLAND.!

Refused refund

Mercedes EV charging app failed to initiate or display a charging session at a public station, with no indication of an active issue. I paid the charger directly to complete the charge, yet Mercedes still billed me, resulting in a duplicate charge. I provided proof of payment, but support refused a refund and blamed me for not calling during a system failure that was not visible in the app. Unreliable service and unacceptable support for a premium EV ecosystem. Customers should not be charged twice due to system failures.

Mercedes-Benz Cambridge store

Mercedes-Benz Cambridge store. Booked a 12 o’clock appointment for my car to have a diagnostic test. At 1:15 I could see my car hadn’t moved, spoke to Caroline on the front desk and said wasn’t happy. The service team looked blank unable to help. Ask for my keys back and left not very happy. Generally not very happy with my seven-year-old Mercedes-Benz which is having lots of issues. Car hasn’t done that many miles so thought I’d go to the experts, only to receive an awful service. Is this the kind of service that Mercedes-Benz is really offering their customers, who buy brand-new cars from them. Found out also that my a class doesn’t even have a Mercedes engine in it. Will never buy a car from this company ever again. they seem to have spent a lot of money on their showroom, it’s a shame that they can’t provide great customer service for all of their customers. The lady next to me had a message to say her car was ready to be picked up, only to be told it wouldn’t start and it wasn’t ready and she had travelled a long way. So again, another flaw in Mercedes.

Negligence Transactional Experience

Negligence, Repeated Fees, and "Transactional" Customer Service
I am writing this to share a deeply disappointing experience with Mercedes Benz and Mercedes Benz Corp , while the mechanical issues were eventually fixed, the lack of professionalism and accountability was unacceptable.
I brought my vehicle in for a major service and oil leak repair totaling $3,000. Shortly after, multiple warning lights appeared. It was discovered that the dealership had left a critical engine harness connector unplugged during their work. This negligence was severe enough to cause my engine to blow.
Despite the dealership repairing the harness was left disconnected by their technician, I was still charged diagnostic fees when I returned to have the issue addressed. Just after paying a diagnostic fee to find what they did wrong , Being charged diagnose fees for catastrophic failure caused by the dealership's own documented oversight is a complete failure of customer service.
Throughout this entire process, the service felt purely transactional. Mercedes Corp was no help every phone call sounded like they were reading from a script. There is a clear feeling that if you aren't purchasing an E-Class or higher, you are treated as a low priority. Every conversation lacked genuine care, and they made me feel like just another number rather than a valued client.
I have since traded my vehicle and moved over to Audi, where the level of service and professionalism is night and day compared to what I experienced here. If you expect thorough work and to be treated with respect regardless of the vehicle model you drive, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Seeking engagement to resolve unresolved gearbox repair

I’m leaving this review to prompt engagement from Customer Care, as other routes have so far led nowhere.
After a gearbox fault, my daughter’s son’s Mercedes spent around seven weeks with a main dealer and incurred repair costs of over £7,000, including extensive gearbox control and mechatronic work. Unfortunately, the underlying transmission fault remains unresolved and the same fault codes are still present.
The car can’t currently be used or sold, yet finance payments are ongoing. He's not seeking compensation, simply for the vehicle to be collected and repaired correctly, at no further cost, in line with Mercedes‑Benz standards.
Despite multiple attempts to contact Customer Services, there has been no direct engagement to move this forward. We hope Mercedes‑Benz will now take ownership and help resolve this constructively.
