Major Recall on faulty Powerwall units in the US, UK and worldwide

There is a major problem with their Powerwall 2 battery installed in UK homes. Tesla announced a major recall program but instead of immediately replacing the faulty units, they just remotely turn off the battery without committing a time for replacement

Sending e mails to their customer service unit met with no response at all. Now I have to pay expensive electricity from the grid and they still have no reply

Think twice before you make your next purchase on this company’s product

Their after service level is very low to nothing

See how long do they pick up and response to this note and you will tell

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from…

I purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Tesla. It was listed as having a range of 343 miles. When I charged it to 100 percent, however, it only charge to 311 miles. Each time I charged it afterwards it went down. I tries speaking to the sales department at my local facility. He would not discuss it and told me to email "resolutions." I dis and followed up numerous times and none of my emails have been responded to. I made an appointment to have the battery checked by Tesla Service. They won't acknowledge the issue regarding Tesla's false representation and want to charge me to test the battery. I trued calling the customer service number. I can't get through to a human.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. Our vehicle had been significantly delayed with no explanation then when it finally came to collection day we had an awful experience. The team seemed to have no idea what they were doing and as a result of their incompetence we had to wait 7 hours at the Manchester collection centre. I had to leave to get our children from school but as we were part exchanging I had no vehicle to get home. Had to pay for a Uber to get home…almost £50! Tesla acknowledged their errors and offered to reimburse me for this. The ‘customer experience specialist’ has since ignored our emails. I have emailed the main customer service twice and still no response. Absolutely disgraceful.

excellent car - poor support

I had an excellent experience driving the Tesla Model Y overnight. Having enough time to properly test the car and explore its functionality gave me a completely different experience compared with a short test drive. I was genuinely impressed and came away feeling that the Model Y would be a huge upgrade from my Mercedes. The driving experience, technology and overall functionality actually made me seriously consider buying one.

Unfortunately, the customer service experience has left me with serious concerns about what it would be like dealing with Tesla in the future, particularly when the car requires servicing or support.

My return was booked for 3pm. At around 11am, I was contacted and told that there was another test drive booked and that if I did not return the car, I would be reported to the police for theft. This completely threw me off because I had received no prior call asking me to return the vehicle earlier, and my agreed return time was 3pm. I found the way this was handled extremely confusing, intimidating and disproportionate. My own car was also on their premises and is of a similar value, so being spoken to in this way made me feel particularly uncomfortable. The interaction left me feeling that I was being treated with unnecessary suspicion, and honestly, it felt discriminatory.

To make matters worse, because I was suddenly being rushed to return the vehicle, I accidentally left my expensive sunglasses inside the Tesla. When I returned to collect them, the male advisor told me that he had seen the glasses in the car and suggested that another member of staff may have taken them inside. However, they have subsequently been unable to locate them, and I still have not received my sunglasses back.

This is extremely disappointing. I went from genuinely considering purchasing the Model Y after an excellent overnight driving experience to now having serious doubts about whether I would want to deal with the showroom again.

The car itself: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The customer service: ⭐⭐

The Tesla Model Y made an extremely strong impression on me as a vehicle. Unfortunately, the way this situation has been handled has made me question whether I would feel comfortable becoming a Tesla customer.

I hope Tesla reviews what happened, particularly the communication regarding the return time and what happened to my belongings, because the quality of the car deserves a customer experience to match.

Don't bother!

I ordered my car through the Tesla Bicester showroom, expecting the process to be similar to purchasing a vehicle through other dealerships: straightforward, efficient, transparent, and with a clear understanding of exactly what I was buying and paying for before collection. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but that.

A key factor in my decision was Tesla's £3,750 finance promotion, which included taking my existing financed vehicle as a part exchange. While Tesla's valuation for my car was significantly lower than offers I had received from Motorway and We Buy Any Car, I accepted this for the convenience of a seamless transaction.

Problems began almost immediately. The negative equity calculation on my existing finance agreement was incorrect. When I challenged this with Tesla, I was assured it would be corrected closer to the collection and payment date. However, the Tesla app later updated to show that I needed to make a cash payment of 22k that was clearly incorrect. Tesla had deducted the value of my current car from the purchase price but failed to account for the outstanding finance that also needed to be settled.

When I raised this again, I was advised that I would need to reapply for finance, which could negatively impact my credit score and potentially increase my monthly repayments. Concerned, I contacted Black Horse directly. They informed me that the agreement was being delayed because Tesla intended to register the car on a 26 plate, meaning the vehicle had effectively depreciated before I had even collected it. Fortunately, Black Horse referred the case back to underwriting and, as a gesture of goodwill, honoured the originally quoted monthly payments.

Despite this, the Tesla app continued to display the incorrect amount required to settle the negative equity. I then asked Tesla to log a complaint and was advised that complaints had to be followed up in writing, contrary to FCA complaint-handling requirements, which require firms to record any expression of dissatisfaction, whether made verbally or in writing.

It then emerged that the finance agreement had been calculated on the basis that I was contributing a £3,750 cash deposit in addition to Tesla's £3,750 finance promotion. At no point had I agreed to make such a contribution. As a result, the finance had to be recalculated yet again, which of course increased the monthly repayments.

Following further discussions, I was assured everything had finally been resolved and that a revised finance agreement would be issued. However, with my vehicle due for collection on 31 August, I received an email from Tesla on 28 August warning me to sign the finance agreement promptly to avoid delays, despite the fact that I had not yet received the agreement.

This resulted in yet another phone call to Black Horse, where I also logged a complaint. Only then did the finance agreement finally arrive.

The entire process has been characterised by repeated errors, poor communication, inaccurate finance calculations, last-minute changes, and a lack of ownership from Tesla and Black Horse with customer service experience falling significantly below expectations. This was compounded by a series of unhelpful and, at times, unnecessarily rude emails from Tesla Customer Services.

Purchasing a new car should be an exciting and straightforward experience. Instead, it has been stressful, time-consuming, and unnecessarily complicated from start to finish.

Kept my deposit!

Be advised, if you order a new Tesla, and two weeks after you order they push your delivery date out 2 months, and you cancel, you’ll lose your deposit!
And there’s always the chance if I hadn’t cancelled they could have even pushed it out farther!
Money gone, lesson learned!

Very disappointed with the labor charges

I recently had my Tesla serviced and was extremely disappointed with how the labor charges were explained. My final bill was $1,668.21, including $874.50 in labor. The invoice shows 3.18 labor hours at a service center rate of $275/hour.

I understand that Tesla uses standardized labor times and that the amount billed isn't necessarily based strictly on the technician's actual time working on the vehicle. My issue was that when I asked for an explanation of the labor charges and whether any of the individual repair operations overlapped, I couldn't get a clear and satisfactory answer. Tesla's own invoice states that its labor charges are aggregate prices for specific services or repairs, which made me want to better understand how the individual charges were calculated.

When you're paying $275 per billed labor hour, I think it's completely reasonable to expect a clear explanation of what you're paying for. I wasn't looking for special treatment or simply asking for a discount I wanted to understand the charges and make sure I wasn't being billed separately for work that was already necessary as part of another repair.

The actual repair may have been completed properly, but the lack of transparency around the labor charges left me very disappointed with the overall service experience.

Tesla Model Y

Tesla Model Y – Extremely Disappointing Quality and Reliability

My experience with the Tesla Model Y has been extremely disappointing. The build quality and materials feel far below what I would expect from a vehicle in this price range.

The car has developed persistent squeaking and rattling noises, and the overall body and interior quality feels cheap. These issues make the driving experience frustrating, especially considering the premium price of the vehicle.

Another major concern is the mileage/range. I have noticed situations where the displayed mileage appears to change unexpectedly, including around software updates, so I strongly recommend owners keep track of their mileage and monitor it carefully.

The battery range is also a serious disappointment. With the A/C running, the practical range can drop dramatically, and in my experience, it can feel like the battery doesn’t even provide 100 miles of usable driving under certain conditions.

Overall, I expected much better build quality, materials, reliability, and real-world range from a Tesla Model Y. Unfortunately, this vehicle has been one of my most disappointing car purchases. Tesla needs to seriously improve its quality control and address these recurring issues.

No regrets. And Buying another one

We have ZERO regrets about buying our Tesla Cybertruck Beast — other than wishing we had bought one sooner!
We’ve always loved our black lifted F-150, but we’ll be selling it and replacing it with another Tesla. That probably says more than anything else about our experience.
One of the biggest surprises has been how stress-free owning a Tesla is. No oil changes. No transmission servicing. No engine maintenance. No gas stations. And no wondering whether a mechanic is telling me I need to fix something that isn’t actually broken.
The technology is incredible. Tesla monitors the vehicle’s performance and lets me know when something needs attention. Their service system has been organized and easy to use, and I love being able to handle so much right through the app.
And my Cybertruck Beast is FAST, smooth and incredibly quiet. The technology is on another level compared with other EVs we’ve looked at.

Self-driving has become one of my favorite features. Being able to have the truck drive me around — and even summon it to come pick me up in front of a store, hospital, or right in front of my own home — still amazes me.
After owning one, I understand why so many Tesla owners buy another one.
Our next vehicle will absolutely be another Tesla. ⚡️

Unhappy customer

Just got solar and it comes with two Tesla batteries. There are huge batteries that take half your house wall and you would think it would store a lot of battery energy but it doesn't it takes all day to charge them and only last for like 6 to 7 hours of power to your house so most of the time you're going to the grid to get power and just wasting of money to you. Then they offer you a Rebate and it's already been 2 and a 1/2 months and I haven't got my Rebate keep calling them and You can't talk to somebody they want you to email them they tell you it takes 72 hours for an email to come back with you and they still don't tell you when you're getting your rebate You can't talk to somebody about it. they just tell me in email that it's coming soon. I suggest that you find USA made batteries instead of this junk.

Tesla Trade-in Con Job

Ordered my Tesla in February 2026 and waited four months for delivery. During that time, my Mercedes was consistently valued for trade-in at around 10,000 euro. After repeated delivery delays, Tesla required a final valuation just days before collection, cutting the offer by 25% to 8,000 euro. I had extensive discussions with customer service before collection and explained I was being financially disadvantaged because of delays in Tesla’s own process and trade-in partner under valuations. The only options I was given were to accept the loss, delay again, or cancel outright. I proceeded under protest and submitted a formal complaint by email and registered post. I have received no response. My former car is now advertised for 14,000 euro by Tesla’s chosen trade-in partner. Tesla’s position was that this was outside its control. I disagree. The delivery delays and Tesla’s choice of trade-in partner were part of Tesla’s sales process, not mine, yet I was left to bear the financial loss. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t buy from Tesla again and their Customer service is absolutely appalling.

I’m extremely disappointed with Tesla customer service

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Tesla and the way my issue was handled.

While my Tesla Model 3 was undergoing a software update, I opened and closed the passenger-side door and the window suddenly failed to close properly. When I closed the door, the glass cracked. I reported the issue to Tesla immediately and explained exactly what had happened. I also had a witness who saw what happened.

Tesla inspected the vehicle and confirmed that they could see the window calibration issue in the system. However, despite this, they did not accept responsibility for the damage and ultimately only offered me a small discount towards the repair.

What is particularly frustrating is that I genuinely believe this was related to the software/update and the window calibration. I expected Tesla to properly investigate the issue and stand behind their product, especially when the vehicle’s own system showed the calibration activity.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service and the way this situation was handled. I have owned and trusted Tesla, but this experience has seriously affected my confidence in the company.

I hope Tesla will take complaints like this more seriously and properly investigate similar cases rather than leaving customers to pay for an issue they believe was caused by the vehicle’s software or calibration.

My Experience With the North Hollywood…

My Experience With the North Hollywood Tesla Location
I am sharing my experience with the North Hollywood Tesla location because I believe other Tesla customers should be aware of what happened to me.
I have spent significant money on Tesla vehicles and, for a long time, genuinely enjoyed the Tesla brand and my cars. Unfortunately, my experience with the North Hollywood location has left me extremely disappointed and feeling that I was treated unfairly.

During my dealings with this location, I was asked to make multiple deposits. Despite the money I spent and my history as a Tesla customer, I ultimately found myself banned from Tesla. From my perspective, this was especially upsetting because I repeatedly explained that I had not done anything wrong and asked for assistance in resolving the situation.

I also attempted to get help from the location's manager, Vincent Ducoulombier. I explained my situation and made clear that I believed the decision against me was unjust. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed or that I received the assistance I was seeking.

What makes this experience particularly frustrating is that I was someone who genuinely supported Tesla. I purchased and enjoyed Tesla vehicles, spent substantial money with the company, and had a positive opinion of the brand. I never expected to end up in a situation where I would be banned after making deposits and attempting to resolve an issue through the appropriate channels.

I am sharing this account so prospective and existing Tesla customers can make their own informed decisions. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly recommend exercising caution when dealing with the North Hollywood location and carefully documenting every deposit, communication, and transaction.

I hope Tesla will eventually review what happened, including the handling of my deposits and the decision to ban me, and provide a fair explanation and resolution.

This article reflects my personal experience and perspective. Anyone considering doing business with this location should independently evaluate the circumstances and make their own decision.

I have owned a Tesla Model Y for nearly…

I have owned a Tesla Model Y for nearly three years, and unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. When we decided to buy an electric car, we believed that Tesla’s years of research and development would result in a well-built, reliable vehicle. Instead, we found the build quality to be far below industry standards The problems started with small issues, such as the sun visor suddenly falling off. Initially, we were told that we would be charged for the repair, but we were later informed that it was covered under the warranty as it’s very common. More serious concerns followed, including suspension problems after only 35,000 miles. The interior quality has also been disappointing. The carpet feels very fragile, and I’m genuinely concerned that regular vacuuming could damage it.Customer service has been equally frustrating. Tesla’s approach seems to be that almost everything can be done online, from ordering the car to managing appointments.it often feels as though getting direct assistance is difficult. The service centres have a very relaxed, hands-off approach, which can leave customers feeling unsupported. The only feature I genuinely appreciate is Dog Mode. Apart from that, this car is not more than a aluminium tin with four wheels. They will never have my custom again.

DO NOT TRUST OR BUY A TESLA

On Sunday my wife agreed a software update. I didn’t know and when I went to my model Y I opened the drivers door and got in the car ready to drive.
Then on the main screen I saw an update was. In progress and it said not to drive.
When tried to get out of the car the door wouldn’t open. I panicked and rang my wife to see if she could open from the outside. She didn’t answer. It was 50 degrees c in the car and I was really worried I would die.

I then tried the passenger door and it opened but I heard a crack as the window didn’t drop as usual when you open.
After several calls and messages Tesla offer a 700£ fix and states it’s my fault as you can’t use the car when an update is happening.
This is highly dangerous as the car allows you to open doors during an update, traps you in, and then doesn’t function properly as in the window needs to drop slightly to be able to open the door / it didn’t and now I face a bill of £700 to fix.
Tesla are typical USA legal. “In the manual it says don’t open the doors during software update”. but then it allows you to do just that.
Is this a scam with Ai working out that they can make more money blaming the owner than Tesla owning up to a huge problem with safety for their costumers.

I really did think I could die and up to now all Tesla want is £700 to fix.

Do not buy a Tesla.

I had a model 3 and then y and it upsets me to know that I’m in the hands of a company that does not give a sxxt about their fan base. Worse still imagine if your wife or mum got trapped in the car whilst an update happens.
It’s simple. If the update stopped you opening the door this wouldn’t have happened.
By allowing you to open the door then the tech fails to drop the window to open/close the door this is a conspiracy to make money.

DO NOT BUY A TESLA
