Avoid this site and the muppets who run it at all costs

This refers to storelocal at Epping. Do not even consider using this company.

My unit has been broken into twice within a month and management refuse to address it. I have requested more details and asked how the place could be compromised twice within weeks but they just don’t respond.

Decent operators would compensate their clients but these guys are just hassling me to pay them for a service they are not providing. Deplorable.

Then a couple of months ago, I went to my locker and found they had put one of their own locks on my locker, so I could not access it. I rang store local and asked for the combination for the lock so that I could actually access my locker. The guy on the phone had no idea and could not help. He said he’d call back but of course I never heard from him again. After about 20 minutes I realised they weren’t going to help, so I had to go to Bunnings and buy a set of bolt cutters just to access my own unit.

Then this week, I got a message from them stating there was no lock on my unit. I live in Qld now but had to fly down to check this. When I got there, the app wasn’t working so I couldn’t get my access code. So I rang them and was provided with an access code but the gate still wouldn’t open. Then a security guard approached and said there’s a power outage and he couldn’t let me in, even though the guy from store local on the phone said he should let me in. So I just jumped the fence and went to my locker, sure enough, no lock. So they have removed my lock for no reason and just left all my belongings open for anyone to take. Then the security guard threatened me with police action, for legally accessing my own property.

They are just a massive bunch of muppets who do not care about their suffering customers. Never had so much trouble dealing with one company.

So I’m out of there. I’ll be moving my property out as soon as I can. I would advise anyone thinking of storing their property here to go somewhere else, anywhere else, because all these stooges want to do is take your money and provide no service.

AVOID THIS FRAUDULENT GROUP

If you have a credit card number on file with this company, even though you're not enrolled in auto pay, they can still take your money and do whatever they want with it. This is from their own emails (which I have). So, remove your credit card numbers from their files. And really, you should remove your belongings from their property. This company regularly engages in fraud (I have proof), and has been reported to the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General in two states! Find another storage unit. You'll thank me.

Outstanding Domestic Self-Storage Facility

We have just ended a 14-month rental with our local Store Local, and cannot recommend it and the company highly enough! The fees are extremely reasonable, the SL app has been excellent performance-wise, communication with and service from the team has been outstanding throughout, and the premises are scrupulously clean. As a woman, I never felt unsafe visiting our unit on my own, and we never once doubted the security of our belongings. They also offer a range of products for your packing needs. Store Local eliminated one giant renovation headache with ease! Of course, now we’re wondering where all this stuff is going to go…!
