Honestly my experience with studely was Fantastic

Honestly my experience with studely was suprising perfect. As an English speaking caneroonian I have had problems with communicating in French but the day I went to Studely In Douala. I was treated so well and all the employees attended to me in English. That really surprised. Within 24 Hours after my deposit, my account was created and I got my AVI few days afterwards. I highly recommend Studely to every international student looking forward to using a block account. They have got professionals available at your service at anytime and their transactions are swift. I rate them 1000/100.
I looking forward to exploring other services offered by studely .

Poor communication, contradictory instructions, and lack of support until repeated follow-ups

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Studely due to poor communication, contradictory instructions, and the lack of proper customer support.

After previously using Studely for Belgium, I contacted their team months in advance to ask whether I could use the same account for Germany or if I needed to create a new one. I was explicitly instructed to create a new account using a different email address, which I did in good faith.

I made my deposit on December 27 and waited for my AVI certificate, but experienced significant delays without any explanation. At no point was I proactively informed that there was an issue with my account. It was only after repeatedly trying to contact Studely that I discovered the problem.

In order to get any response or clarification, I had to reach out through multiple channels, including email, Messenger, Instagram, and LinkedIn, before finally being contacted and receiving a call to explain the situation. I was then told that the delay was due to having two accounts under the same name — a situation that resulted directly from following Studely’s own instructions.

Even after the issue was addressed, the communication remained disappointing. I sent a follow-up email thanking them for resolving the problem while still expressing my concerns about how the situation had been handled. That message was completely ignored, and instead I received an unrelated response that did not acknowledge my concerns at all. This reinforced the feeling that customer feedback and complaints are not taken seriously.

This experience caused unnecessary stress and frustration, especially considering how critical the AVI certificate is for visa and study-related processes. Had I not persistently followed up across several platforms, it is unclear when—or if—I would have been informed of this issue.
Although the matter now appears to be moving forward, the overall handling was unprofessional and disappointing. A service that deals with students and time-sensitive documentation should provide clear guidance, consistent information, and timely communication. Unfortunately, this was not my experience.

I hope Studely improves its customer support and internal communication to prevent other students from going through a similar situation.

Avoid if possible - technical issues and unnecessary barriers to accessing your own money

I used Studely to set up a blocked account for a Belgian search year visa, and so far my experience has been very poor, which is all the more frustrating when they provide a service you have little choice but to use if you want to get your visa. Many processes need to be done through their app which doesn't work properly (and what are people supposed to use if they don't have a smartphone?), and you can never talk to an actual human on their chat function, receiving responses days later by email that often do not address the problem you have raised. Verifying ID through an app or website linked to it makes me feel very uncomfortable, not least when it fails to actually work properly. I had to send a photo of my passport multiple times via What'sApp because apparently a clear high resolution scan isn't accepted but nonetheless they kept rejecting the photos presumably because my phone camera wasn't good enough - yet it was them that had insisted on a photo taken by phone. The latest issue is that - having received my Annex 15 and proof of address, I have now been told by Studely that I need to buy a Belgian phone number TO ACCESS MY OWN MONEY, which I had already explained I do not need and have no intention of using as I am from the UK and am able to use my phone in the EU exactly as I would in the UK, and have in fact been doing so as a student for the past year in Belgium. This is presumably all to accommodate the app, which is set up this way. Why should I have to buy a sim card that I have no intention of using, and why is this information not made clear upfront when you sign up to the blocked account? I cannot comment on the process of receiving the payments themselves, as I am still struggling with these unnecessary barriers to reach this stage.

Extremely Disorganized and Unreliable Service

I am very disappointed with my experience with Studely. Their organization and communication have been extremely poor. They were unreachable for two weeks for reasons unknown, and to this day, I still have not received the monthly payment I am supposed to rely on.

As a student living in France, I depend on these funds to cover essential living expenses. It is unacceptable that I have had to repeatedly follow up and “chase” them for something that should be handled responsibly and on time.

This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is incredibly stressful and unprofessional. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously and make urgent improvements for the sake of the students who depend on their services.
