Expensive Umbrella Broke After 5 Uses, No Support from MGI

Very disappointed with MGI Golf's customer service. I purchased an umbrella for approximately $73, expecting it to be a premium, durable product. Unfortunately, it broke after only about five uses. When I contacted MGI, I was told they would not help because I was just over the one-year warranty period by a month. For a product at this price point, I would expect it to last much longer and for the company to show some goodwill when a failure occurs so soon after the warranty expires. The product quality and customer support did not meet my expectations.

MGI golf buggy

The hubs in the rear wheels of my MGI golf buggy wore out after 5 years. Not ideal, but not entirely unexpected. I purchased replacement wheels from MGI (Melbourne) and they were delivered promptly (2 business days). Online support confirmed I had ordered the correct wheels. Thank you. Excellent after sales service.

VERY LITTLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT

VERY LITTLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. DON'T BUY. I ACCIDENTLY REMOTE CONTROLLED THE MGI AI GPS+ REMOTE CONTROLLED ELECTRIC BUGGY INTO A WATER POND AND EVENTUALLY FISHED IT OUT. THE COURSE FINDER AND GPS FAIL TO WORK. I WAS TOLD TO TRASH THE BUGGY (ABOUT $1800 US). NO DISCOUNT FOR A NEW MODEL, NO ANYTHING, I GET THAT IT IS MY FAULT, BUT NO BREAK WHATSOEVER? I AM CERTAIN THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE. THE BUGGY WAS ABOUT 2 WEEKS OLD.

HERE IS THE EMAIL I RECEIVED 1/23/2026: Hello,

So sorry to hear you had an accident with your caddy. Please see our water damaged guidelines below.

In the event of submersion in water (partial or full) of a motorised buggy; MGI advises the complete write-off of your buggy.
The cost of replacing the water-damaged components (including labour) exceeds the price of a replacement buggy.
If you elect to purchase replacement components, i.e. motors, gearbox, motor controller and electronics, we advise the replacement of ALL components simultaneously. Replacing individual components on a water-damaged buggy poses a higher risk of future failure of other components and therefore these parts will not be covered under warranty.
Please note that MGI does not warrant water-damaged batteries and, due to fire risk, under no circumstances should they continue to be used.
All implied warranties [save those preserved by statute] are excluded. Liability for consequential damages under any and all warranties are excluded to the extent exclusion is permitted by law.

Kind regards,

MGI trolleys - Not good, service poor!

MGI interest in customer service or satisfaction is zero! Apparently one bloke who you can ring, just have to send an e-mail and hope!!
The trolley I had was only 7 months old and water got into the controls. I took it back to AG for repair. MGI just sent it back, said nothing was wrong and cancelled the warranty, which had 2 years 5 months to go, pretending it had been in a pond. Complete BS! I know other golfers who have problems with MGI trolleys. Wish I’d stuck with Powercaddy….don't buy or trust MGI trolleys or their customer service! You will regret it.

Zero Customer Service

The trolley is good, apart from when I cleaned it the silver paint washed off. However their customer service is non existent. I have sent 3 emails for assistance and they have not replied. I wish I’d bought the Stewart one now

MGI navigator AI - Sure shot

MGI navigator AI
The sure shot app is showing colors for Teeboxes in Horsens Golfclub instead of meter
Color was Exchange with meters approx 5 years ago😖
The app is also showing yards as the measure when selecting the course
The HCP system is with decimals but thats not the case with the app
But distance to the Golfcourse is metric eg 3,2 km and so is the distance to various points to the course
This was the topmodel at the time of purchase end of Sep 2022 - but a waste of my time and money😖😖😖
