Absolutely love JD Gyms Blackburn!

I honestly can’t praise this gym enough. From the moment you walk in, there is such an amazing atmosphere. The people are friendly, welcoming and supportive, and it genuinely feels like a community rather than just a gym.

A special mention has to go to Ange, the manager, who is absolutely outstanding. She is friendly, approachable, professional and always makes you feel welcome. You can tell she really cares about the gym, the members and the team.

The spin instructors are fantastic. Their energy, motivation and enthusiasm make every class something to look forward to. They work incredibly hard to create an atmosphere where everyone feels motivated, whatever their fitness level.

All of the staff are brilliant — friendly, helpful and approachable. The equipment and facilities are excellent, with plenty of choice and everything you need for a great workout.

But what really makes this gym special is the atmosphere and the people. There is a really positive energy when you walk through the doors, and it makes you actually want to come to the gym.

JD Gyms Blackburn is genuinely outstanding. Huge credit to Ange and the whole team for creating such a fantastic environment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a gym where you feel welcome, motivated and part of something.

The gym is great alot of mechanics to use big and open spaces. But the only thing they could improve is getting an air conditioning system it can get really hot in there when is busy no air flowing. Either than that is great gym. 😊👍🏼

Good value for money . I like the fact that is open 24/7 , so I can go anytime I want . Price is £29 per month . The wifi connection never works , it s impossible to connect to wi fi . I can t use my phone s internet , as the gym is in a cave at minus -1 . The music is always low . Car park is free for 1.5 - 3 hours .

Really enjoying being back in the gym and especially coming to the gym with my son 💪 loving the equipment .

Men’s urinals all out of order. Men’s to8let hand dryer out of order. Drinking water only one tap working in gym area. Also several bits of equipment not working for over 2 weeks. Was good but standards massively dropped .
Have a tour around before joining.

Had my first session this morning (Wolverhampton)having signed up last week, iv been to quiet a few gyms beeing a PT but I found this gym very clean ,different and welcoming so many equipment to use spoilt for choice.
Floor space is extremely large with a upstairs section i would give the gym 10/10

P/Trainers and gym staff are all clearly visible.

The equipment is good, and overall the center is quite spacious, but a bit dirty. The men's locker room restrooms aren't separated from the restroom itself, so the whole place smells of urine. The lockers don't have built-in locks, so you'll either have to reserve one or hope no one steals your belongings.

Always a pleasure to visit JD gym Rochdale, Staff are always really friendly.

Really sad that I’m having to come on here, really hoping to see change. I love that they have a ladies only section, but when will we see a some sort of maintenance, it is absolutely dirty in there. The machines need updating, they are either broken or of no use. The treadmills are basically non existent. Leaks from the roof, just don’t know where to start. Hope we see a change or it will have to move to another gym😭😭

The Darlington branch is really good for the price of the membership.

Who wants to join a gym paying full price when they are giving away free memberships to illegals Think I'll find another Gym

Having rejoined the gym since terminating it in 2024 I am happy to see the layout of the women's section has been changed with more training machines that actually work.
However, toilets still have the same bad smell.

It’s crowded, and it’s hard to get access to the equipment for a workout. Some machines are broken, and there are some great ones missing that really ought to be there.

This gym was great when it opened. Few years on, machines are often out of order. Mens changing room no hand dryer, you guest it out of order. Used to regularly cleaned, now rarely done. No new machines since it opened...think twice before joining oh and the car park situation is not like dodgem cars

Very helpful staff. Great machines and plenty of them . Lots of classes to choose from . Clean. Excellent starting price of £10 . What more could I ask for !
