Waited until the very last moment to write this as i believe in giving people a chance to put things right so if you are reading this it`s because my patience has run out. Sent me 2 drive shafts and one was incorrect but luckily the correct one was the one that was worn on the customers car From the first email it was clear it was not going to be easy, advised to return the incorrect shaft which i did by courier, to the correct address, photo, name time and date delivered but have been met with nothing but obstruction and negativity. unprofessional replies and now ignoring my emails. Clearly why they don`t use a phone line.

As a business of 35 yrs they have lost what could have been a good customer and good review due to poor back up.

My advice to anyone READ THE REVIEWS first.

Part arrived and worked fine but broke less than a year later. Not reliable.

Writing on behalf of my husband. This company’s customer service is absolutely appalling. As noted by previous reviews, they don’t let you phone a human anymore- all communication is through emails. Whoever sent the correspondence regarding the issue my husband had needs serious retraining in how to be a decent human. No apology, no understanding or empathy. He had ordered a driveshaft that arrived damaged. He reported it and their first response was to tell him he could fix it himself! After telling them that was unacceptable, they suggested an exchange- damaged for new. Brilliant! They then informed him that they didnt actually have any in stock! They never offered a partial refund or other solution. Terrible company that he won’t be ordering from again!

I placed an order for two drive shafts that were both clearly showing as "in stock" on their website (still sre as I'm writting this).
I ordered in good faith expecting to receive both items. Instead, I only received half of my order.

When I contacted them to inquire about the missing shaft, I was informed there was actually a stock issue, despite both items showing available when I placed the order.

Had I not reached out, they never would have contacted me. They had all my contact information and multiple opportunities to notify me before shipping only part of the order, but chose not to.

I then requested a full refund for both items. Instead of resolving the issue properly, they offered an option that was not fit for purpose. Communication has been terrible: no phone support, and their emails are unprofessional.

This experience has caused unnecessary inconvenience and wasted my time and money for a problem that is clearly not the customer's fault. They take zero accountability.

Worse still, at the time of writing this review, both items are still showing as in stock on their website, meaning they continue to let other customers place orders they know they can't fulfill.

I would not recommend J and R Drive Shaft to anyone.
Avoid unless you enjoy surprises and chasing down your order.

Shocking!

Ordered a driveshaft from this company and the part they have supplied is not correct and too short.

I have contacted them to return the item and although the item they have sent is incorrect they now expect the customer to pay for the return postage.

This company is an absolute joke!!

Steer well clear of them

Ordered TWO propshafts, initially delighted that the courier came the next day HOWEVER, only ONE propshaft was delivered (in a split box) with a different part number to either that I ordered. Tried the phone number on the website which says "we don't take phone calls".

Used the 'online' contact form (no WebChat either) at around 4pm - no response until the next morning when they asked me for all the details again by email.

After eight email exchanges it transpires that the one they sent is (apparently) an equivalent (with no reasoning or back up to support this) and the other one is out of stock for 'around 2 - 3 weeks'.

Even though the Web Form asks for your contact number, they told me "We do not call customers, and you have to wait for reply as we do not say we email back straight away as we have other jobs and other emails so they get answered in the way they come through"

J and R - the 'pile 'em high and sell 'em cheap' with no customer service. Won't be using them again and suggest you don't .

p.s. I find their feedback on EBay suspicious as Trustpilot reviews are terrible, beware!

Avoid this company at all costs! I ordered a driveshaft online only to find once the car was in bits that they sent the wrong part.

No problem I thought, I'll call them.... Their phone number no longer takes calls. Contact through the website.

Raised 2 queries explaining the issue and all I have had is a return address via email. No apology, no explanation, no sending out a replacement. Just an address. Oh and they expect me to cover all postage for their mistake too!

There is no communication or customer care, happy to take your money, not interested once they've been paid.

Basically oarts we advertised on ebay site specifically for my vehicle. Sent numerous queries asking why no explanation or reply as, only a few words, We dont stock parts for your vehicle.... Bad bad company i wasted a whole day and still on ebay they list available drive shafts fot my vehicle. Appauling customer service. Aphone number listed on ebay and it says contact us on messenger or through web site. Nothing even reqested to speak to management or a phonecall, Ebay useless wont do anything.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL WASTE YOUR TIME and money.

Purchased 2 driveshafts for my car, a well known small Japanese model built in Sunderland. The offside shaft would not fully engage into the gearbox with the circlip removed. The original shaft inserted and removed freely, confirming the issue was with the supplied part tolerances rather than installation.
The nearside shaft required excessive effort to install, did not seat correctly and exhibited excessive play once fitted.
Replacement APEC shafts from partsinmotion fitted correctly and immediately with normal insertion force and proper seating depth.

I contacted the company multiple times by email and provided details, however communication stopped once the fitment issues were raised. I will ask the credit company for a charge back.

Very, very disappointing experience and a large amount of time and effort wasted.

I ordered a driveshaft for a volvo v70, and unfortunately it didn't not fit even though I used their website registration part finder. I have contacted them to arrange a refund and they have not provided a postage label for me to return the item. If someone sees this then can you please get in contact with me to arrange a refund for my order and issue me a refund

Order a drive shaft from this company, i paid for next day delivery through them. They dispatched it but courier company lost it. There attitude is not our problem and the courier company won't deal with me as they sent it. I've asked them to contact courier company but they don't want to know, and now I'm £85 out of pocket. Terrible customer service. won't reply to emails cant ring them

Ordered 2 driveshafts and only received 1
When I emailed them I was told the other item is out of stock and I have to wait 2-4 weeks.
Then they offered me a refund for the item missing.That’s not good for me as I don’t need the other item that they sent.
When I asked for a full refund and they come and collect the other driveshaft I was told I have to pay to send it back although is their fault.
Do not bother ordering from them.

Very bad customer service

Fast next day delivery great service. Ordered both sides driveshafts for my Audi A6. Fit perfectly and drive smooth.

Shocking service from a company, brought a drive shaft which has failed, I have been told to remove drive shaft and return for inspection, in the mean time my car will be off the road, need the car daily for work. Lasted 8 months, car has only done 6000 miles

Avoid this seller.
They selling parts with 2 years guarantee but somehow the parts can't do even a year.and the guarantee they provide is non valid at all .all of the parts I've been bought from them get damaged usually on the 3th month on my case driving shafts and the can't cover even 10000 miles.

Ordered a drive shaft from them, they said it was being shipped, then that evening said the part was out of stock, would I like a refund. Still waiting for refund, as said no contact for customer service and they totally ignore your emails. Taking this further, they are absolutely shocking as a company. Avoid at all cost 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Part arrived next day. Was the correct part. Installed it and there was a fault with the outer joint (grinding popping noise). Obviously I was disappointed and got in contact with them. A few messages back and forth confirming the correct part and a new driveshaft was sent out to replace. Next day new part arrived. Installed and working great. Ok initially the part was faulty but the customer service in resolving this was very quick and helpful.

You get exactly what you pay for, cheap for a reason.
I know people are complaining about their products but they buying cause they very cheap.
II bough several driveshafts from them and , yes they all failed in a way or another.
When you buy from them don't expect much
