Absolutely awful, they cancelled my contract early, lost my phone number.

I've been charged for services I've never agreed on. When they reached out, I declined so they "just wanted to send some info onepager" which I've never looked at. I never responded nor accepted their offer. However, for almost a year now they've been charging me for two services, 9,99€ each. Obviously, I could've realized earlier, but the money was drawn from my account where I only have automated income and expenses, so I didn't check in detail. I only now realized as I canceled my phone contract, that they still withdrew money and saw what it was for. Originally, it was also NOT shown in the app and only now showed up once I've logged into my account on the website. It was also difficult to reach them, as I don't have a phone contract with them anymore.

They activating new services without any approval and my knowledge. And charged me every month. Then i deactivate the service, then again activate something else. Afterwards I revoke the amount and they sent me Mahnung. Very much Scam to take out money from peoples account.

The most terrible mobile operator

Horrific customer service. Called up twice today to sort out an eSim and first the person on the telephone spoke at a truly unintelligible speed attempting to sell me things (felt like a bit of a scam in which if one speaks quickly then says 'Do you understand' - one then unwittingly agrees to purchases); I replied every time with NO I don't understand and yet 'somehow' a new order appeared on my account. Then when I called again soon after to clarify the person on the telephone said that they 'couldn't clarify' without verification via tan (something which didn't function the first time either). Very suspicious so they can add unauthorised charges onto your account without tan verification however can't remove then? Do the math. Then also hung up on me because they cannot talk for more than 20 minutes - bizarre as I assured him I was more irritated than him that the issue was taking more than 20 minutes! So be aware if there is ever any issue (which there will be) the person on the phone WILL NOT help you. I have since cancelled my contract and will never use their 'services' again.

I don’t usually write negative reviews — even when things go wrong, I believe mistakes happen and life moves forward. But this experience has pushed me past that threshold.
My time with Freenet has been nothing short of exhausting. I lived in Hamburg, and because my German is limited, I spoke with an operator in English regarding the end of my contract before leaving the country. I was clearly told that everything was terminated and resolved. I trusted that conversation — perhaps too much.
Months later, payments kept appearing as if my contract was still active. I emailed, I explained, I insisted — in English, in German, again and again. Instead of clarity, I received threats of legal action after 3–4 months, as if I were the one ignoring them. Calling customer service was even worse: if I spoke in English, the line was often cut. No support, no willingness to listen, just a cold wall.
Four months after leaving Germany, I’m still stuck in this mess — billed for something I was told was closed, dismissed when I reach out for help, treated like an inconvenience instead of a customer.
I don’t like speaking badly about companies. But this experience feels like being drained slowly, unfairly, and without a voice.
Freenet, in my eyes, has shown an alarming lack of responsibility and respect. I hope no one else finds themselves in the same situation.

My tariff was high and I ask to reduce it but they are not allowing. So I thought of porting my sim to another and they provide far better offer, but when I call customer care but they dont release the sim for it. Any they only speak german, we the time contract was going to end they are ok to soeak in english but they cant. After my tries and email, they are ok to do porting but they assign number till the contract period ends. Then what is the use of porting?

Freenet is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They’ve charged me over 600% more than my actual contract price, not once, but three times! Every month, I have to fight over wrong invoices, and their customer support is absolutely useless. They can’t solve even basic issues and don’t speak a single word of English, which makes it a nightmare for international customers like me.
If you’re not fluent in German, save yourself the stress and stay far away from Freenet. They will overcharge you, ignore your complaints, and leave you frustrated. I deeply regret ever signing up with them.

This is the worst mobile network on earth! It's literally a scam!
It's not Freenet, it's Scamnet
If you want to avoid problems, then avoid Freenet

One star — and only because I can’t give zero.
Freenet charged me almost €60 in roaming fees before even warning me, which directly goes against EU roaming rules requiring a warning before you hit the limit. By the time I got their SMS, the money was already gone.
When I tried to resolve it, customer service was terrible: hard to reach, the representative cut me off repeatedly, and showed no willingness to help or take responsibility.
This isn’t just bad service — it feels like a system designed to trap customers into paying extra. I expect a provider to follow the law and respect their customers, not exploit them.
I will never do business with them again

I’ve been a customer of freenet FUNK since January 2025, paying €1 every day without fail for over three months. Even though I was late by 5-6 days with a payment in May due to a difficult financial situation, I always paid everything in full afterward, including the missed days. On May 7th, I paid all overdue amounts.
However, freenet FUNK sent me a termination warning on May 8th, a full day after I had already made my payment, and then terminated my contract and deactivated my SIM card without prior notice or a grace period.
I reached out to customer service via email, explaining the situation and asking for help. They never responded. To make matters worse, I cannot access the app at all—it crashes every time I try to open it. I can no longer view my invoices, manage my account, or transfer my number.
Despite my consistent payments and efforts to resolve the issue, I have been left without service and no way to manage my account. This is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend freenet FUNK, as their customer service is non-existent, and they treat their customers unfairly.

Good company tbh but I chose the vodafone network, I don't know the others
It was cool for me since I start to use but some time expensive
Good pricing, easy to setup contract, delivery of the phone was fast
One of the best internet experiences
Overall Process of getting into contract was smooth and without any hassle, the tariffs are good with awesome offers.
