"Throwaway twitter accounts aren't…

"Throwaway twitter accounts aren't allowed" for genuine accounts.

Edit: Flagged my review for "defamatory content"

Also said "your account is empty with no posts or following" which is a blatant lie.

Having a default profile image and no account description can cause you to be flagged as throwaway, your account is empty with no posts or following - try updating those and try again if not give our support an email and we'll take a look: https://gleam.io/contact

They don't have even a bit respect for bug reporters

Basically, I was participating in a giveaway that used their service, when i discovered a gotcha that using two accounts, could generate theoretically infinite entries (not specifying the bug for obvious reasons)
Now I tried to report it though both the giveaway hosts and gleam directly, both sides me that it was being taken care of.
After a day or two I return to check how stuff are going, but I discovered that instead of rewarding me for the responsible but report, they ip ban me and my brothers accounts, even though I went out of the way to report the bug to them.
It wasn't a big discovered on purpose, it was a bug discovered by accident that allowed me to transfer entries between accounts and reset them, effectively making infinite entries.
And I reported it, but still got banned for the bug.
And by the way, my report was from way over 14 days ago, I sent the report at august 7th
I didn't do it like that, I told attack shark exactly what I was doing in their stuff do they can remove my test entries.
And I would like to continue this talk so we can resolve with, gleam, but I think that it would be better if we talk about this privately since I wouldn't like to reveal any details that may help other's exploit the bugs I found.
After I sent this they seemed to have just ghosted me, and My account and my brothers accounts are still blacklisted.
And by the way, I didn't try specifically to exploit the giveaways, and actually shared the email addresses that I used with attack shark, the ones who hosted the giveaway, so that they can ignore the stuff from my bug testing

Thanks, but you were suspended automatically by our systems 14 days ago for this and your initial email was asking why you were banned, it's not something we consider a bug - duplicated entries are automatically invalidated and by continuing to exploit them across 7 accounts you were subsequently banned.

Also pretending to be a "Bug Tester" whilst actively trying to exploit campaigns will still get you banned, you created 5 new contestants after your initial report and continued to try and exploit the system for more entries.

Shadow bans users secretly

Shadow bans users when entering raffles, marks every task they do as "invalid" without even telling the user, only visible to host. Not even the host knows why a user is marked "invalid". Such a scam!

Anti-privacy company

They collect data as much data as they can about you and then block you without disclosing the reason.

We do not collect 'as much data as we can'. The app collects data for users to enter marketing campaigns. Typically, this will be name and email but can be configured to ask for more data. We also collect metadata like the user's location, device, etc for analytics and fraud checking.

You are correct that if we make a decision to block someone that we believe is acting fraudulently, we do not disclose the reason. Telling every fraudster exactly why they've been blocked would help them too much.

Shadow bans VPN users

Looks like they shadowban giveaway contestants that use a VPN service - hard to run a fair giveaway when it isn't transparent.

We don't shadow ban users for using a VPN. That said, it is one of the factors that feed in to our fraud checks which can flag entries for review. Then it's up to the person running the competition to decide what is a valid entry. Earlier this year we added a feature where people running competitions can choose to allow VPNs or block them directly.

Great platform and people!

I started entering giveaways about 8 years ago and have been very fortunate and lucky to have achieved many awesome wins including xbox's , gaming pc , macbook air 15 , gift cards , many tech related toys ie:phones tablets monitors mice keyboards etc. (just a small fraction of my wins)

All it takes is perseverance and hitting those daily entries when available. Giving up and quitting is not an option at this point.

Any interaction with the people at this platform via email has always been helpful and friendly whenever an issue came up. Usually minor complaints stemming from people not fulfilling the prize redemption from the sponsors or misuse / ignoring the terms which was not the fault of the Gleam platform.

I have had the best luck and experience with the rate of wins compared to ANY and ALL other giveaway platforms and I begrudgingly use those 'other platforms' even though I know the odds are terrible.

Excellent Customer Service, Easy to Use Platform

Initially made a complaint that was missing from our account, which was due to X (Twitter)'s API change. The advisors at GLEAM got back to me extremely quickly and resolved the issue promptly in a manner that was very satisfactory to me.

I've been incredibly impressed with GLEAM's customer service so far and the platform is very easy to use. It's made running competitions a breeze for us, compared to the complex process we used to have to go through to manually run competitions. The platform is full of features that suit our industry (gaming) as well (such as Discord and Steam), which are rarely tracked or offered on other platforms.

Hey Norna, this could be any number of reasons - can you email support via https://gleam.io/contact please

The most common reason could be a host has Event Mode incorrectly enabled on a campaign which logs users out on refresh
