Horrible product design. Smart cash isa does support automated regular payments in. You have to manually add money every time. Why would they create a saving product and then dont allow automatic saving into it? Horrible customer care too.

They hold interest for weeks on end before paying it to you, then if you try to transfer out they keep the interest you haven’t been paid. How is this legally allowed?? This is supposed to be a regulated business. See other reviews confirming this; your better bet is to go with another provider, even if the interest rate is slightly lower

Watch out for the interest payments on the 'smart' cash ISA; you're always paid a month in arrears PLUS a 2-week delay, this means any interest you earn from previous months is paid in the middle of the following month. If you ever want to transfer out you'll always lose some of your interest. At absolute best this is a minimum of 2 weeks of interest, and at worst, can be the full interest allocation for the last 6 weeks. Chip really need to fix this in the same way that Plum did.

It took a little longer to get back to me in the first place but once they reached out they were really good and got me sorted.

I had a query and they got back to me quickly. All communication I had they got back to be quickly and were very polite, informative, professional and knowledgeable and they solved my query easily. So, I am a very happy bunny with these guys and would recommend Chip and their support team also. 👍🏻

I moved my money there and then my account got under review asking me to prove when this funds are from.
They gave me 7 days otherwise I will never see them again as my account will be blocked.
They shared the form for me to fill in and upload the evidence which is not accepting screenshots, images and pdf files. It is day two that Im trying to submit all the evidence but the system gives me an error. Customer service is not existent. They reply once in a day if you are lucky. By the time I figure out how to submit my prove one week will pass by and what do I do next? please suggest Chip Team.

It is horrible and appalling service, people trusting you with all their money and you don't have team in place to speak to when it is really needed.

Avoid at all cost!

Trying to access my account and I cannot unless I furnish the bank with personal details of a connected bank and I also get referred to Google adverts.

Having been really impressed by the layout and facilities of the CHIP App, I decided to open a CHIP Smart Cash ISA (with a really good interest rate). I had difficulty (which eventually turned out to be my own fault) in locating my existing cash ISA provider during the Transfer In process. I contacted Customer Service via the App and was answered by Todd. Over the next couple of days, Todd went out of his way to help me, keeping me informed of the status of my enquiry at all times. He was polite, super-efficient and is a credit to CHIP. Having been so impressed with the service I received, my wife also decided to move her Cash ISA to CHIP as well. So, thanks again Todd for all your help and assistance. I have no hesitation in recommending CHIP to anyone looking for a really good Cash ISA interest rate and great customer service

Good help by an actual person setting up my account when there was a small problem.

I have been with Chip for sometime now and always found the support staff really helpful. In my recent experience I was really impressed that I was called back on the day and time agreed, which made a refreshing change. My problems were resolved quickly.

Using the CHIP app to open a Smart ISA account and starting the process to transfer-in a flexible cash ISA was really straightforward and the app itself is very easy to navigate and very responsive. I also joined a web chat for clarification on something and had a prompt response with a clear and supportive response. Great customer service.

I have only recently joined Chip and at first there were a few things I was unsure of. Each time I emailed with a query Chip customer services responded almost instantly with very clear answers and made sure I was happy. So far I am very impressed and feel safe investing with Chip.

Chip has a team on line who acknowledge your query quickly and then having investigated on your behalf return to provide an answer and any assistance you may need. Very professional and helpful.

The few times I've had to get in touch with Chip I have always had a quick response and they have helped with any queries I have had . Very pleased so far .

You are feeling that you are actually dealing with human beings not robots. I would still bank with them even if their interest rates were not as good as they are.

Excellent and innovative banking App. I have nearly all of my savings and investments in there.
