Working with grants assist was one of the best decisions we made as a small business. Before contacting them, we had no idea where to start with grant funding and had already wasted months researching opportunities ourselves. I applied through their website to get more information. First, I received an email saying I would get a call within a few days. Instead, the call came weeks later. I missed it, and after that I was bombarded with repeated calls. Then I received an email saying they were managing a high volume of enquiries. The next day, I received another call and another email.

When I called back, a Lady ( name can’t be disclosed) from Grants Assist greeted me using my full name. Within a minute, she started talking about their so-called one-year and three-year subscription plans. I asked whether these details were available on their website, and she said no.

That immediately raised red flags. She also said they could not check my eligibility unless I paid a fee upfront over the phone. There was no invoice, no written terms and conditions, and no clear information available publicly. I told her I would call back.

Thankfully, I trusted my gut, did some more digging, and saved my money. Based on my experience, this felt very suspicious. I honestly don’t understand how a business like this is allowed to operate.

I really wish that i had researched them to a greater detail before i parted with my money. On the phone, they ask questions as if there are all these grants that are available. In reality, there are none or they are not suitable. I figured that out 10 minutes after logging in and asked them a refund of the money paid. They refused and asked me to send my business details for a human to go research all available grants. I have just received that list and it is absolutely useless. As i said, i learnt a lesson the hard way...

If I could give this negative stars I would. Such a scam, all sounds good at first but once you pay you are left to your own devices with info that you could have accessed for free. Absolutely useless, do not do it.

Terrible customer service. Not worth the money. Not personalized or easy to understand. Overall bad experience I would not recommend.

Scam scam, ripoff and don't call you like they say they will. Keep sending you to a portal, that just tells you crap. The Australian Govt should ban them. Grants Assist is the biggest scam yet and backed by the Australian Govt.
