Quick and successful rent reduction
Overall, a very quick and smooth process. Within just two months, Conny reached an agreement with my landlord and achieved a €40 monthly rent reduction.
I was hoping for a larger reduction based on advertisements by Conny but it's still better then before.
One thing I hadn't fully noticed when signing the contract was that Conny also charges a commission, which does reduce the overall benefit. That said, I should have paid more attention to the terms myself.
Overall, a positive experience and a good option if you want to challenge your rent without having to handle the process yourself.

The whole process took 2 years, and any time I had a question or wanted an update I got a response within 1-2 days. Conny and my landlord initially agreed to an initial settlment, which was ignored in the end by my landlord. Our case went to court, and the rent was lowered even further than the settlement amount. We are now saving €620 a month on rent, and we also received over €10,000 back in overpaid rent, which is actually a crazy amount of money

Deceptive summary text used to trick tenants into signing court settlements
CONNY lowered my ongoing rent slightly, but their methods of obtaining tenant approval for court settlements are severely misleading. They wanted me to sign the agreement, so they misled me about the repayment. Before asking me to sign the settlement, they explicitly wrote to me in plain text:
"Our commission is paid by your landlord directly to us."
They also asked me for my IBAN so they could process the repayment. This led me to believe that I would receive the repayment directly and that CONNY's commission would be paid separately by the landlord, as they had stated. I believe they misled me into signing the agreement because otherwise they might have lost the case. I do not appreciate being misled or lied to.

CONNY's reply below proves my exact point about their deceptive communication. They claim their wording "our commission is paid by your landlord directly to us" was just a minor phrasing confusion. It wasn't. Telling a customer "the landlord pays us directly" to get a court settlement signed—only to later take 100% of 23 months of back-paid rent (€1,611.15) AND swallow €210.15 of my personal security deposit—is not "confusion," it is plain misrepresentation.
Furthermore, CONNY claims in their reply below that they asked for my IBAN because “the settlement also includes amounts that belong to you.” This is completely false. They did NOT forward me those retroactive amounts—they kept them all, along with part of my security deposit refund. They used plain, reassuring English to get me to sign the court deal when they needed my consent, and only hid behind their complex fine print after the deal was sealed.
Readers take note: do NOT rely on what CONNY's team tells you in plain text before you sign.

CONNY's official response below—which they have now hastily deleted—proved my exact point about their deceptive communication.
Weak move, CONNY: Instead of addressing their misleading practices, they deleted their official response and flagged my review as "invalid" to censor genuine client feedback.

We have already addressed this point, and repeating the same allegation does not make it more accurate.
You were informed about our remuneration model and the assignment of repayment claims before commissioning us. The fact that payments are made by the landlord directly to CONNY does not mean that our remuneration is paid by the landlord on top of your claims. Our remuneration is based on the amounts recovered as agreed in the contract.
We also strongly reject the suggestion that we deliberately misled you in order to obtain your consent to a settlement. Requesting bank details in the course of processing a settlement is entirely normal and does not change the agreed remuneration structure.
You are of course entitled to disagree with our pricing model. Accusing us of lying, deception or censorship, however, does not accurately reflect what happened in your case.
