I bought a Puppet plush in December…

I bought a Puppet plush in December from a third party site and the order got cancelled (that’s on me) so I finally caved and bought one straight from Youtooz in March. The original shipping information said it would be delivered in June/July. Then the date changed to July/August. Then August/September. The delay, though a bit disappointing, I understand. It arrived August 3rd (3 days ago).
Now, I’m not the type of person to buy a plushie just for it to sit on a shelf. I buy it to hold, put in my bed, cry with, and the Puppet plush is the perfect size, shape, and weight to do that with. However, it seems like every time I touch it, there’s a new loose thread. In the eyes, back, hands, legs, all over. And, as I don’t want to ruin my new plush, I take a pair of small sewing scissors and cut the thread. But then there’s another one! I swear I have cut loose thread ends from every seam: the face embroidery, back stitching, arms, hands, legs, etc.
I’ve heard nothing but amazing things from Youtooz, and I’m honestly a bit peeved at the quality of this product. This is my first order and it’s been a big turn-off from the brand. I love the plush, but every time I have to get up and cut another loose string, I wonder if I ordered from the wrong company. I payed just under 40$ for a plush that is worse quality than some I’ve found for a quarter of the price!
I’m disappointed with my overall experience, and moreover that there is no place directly linked to Youtooz (that I could find) to put these types of concerns. I’d be interested to know if this has happened to anyone else, or if I just got unlucky.
Do better, Youtooz.
