Review of Indeed

The Indeed Website is far from Adequate

I found the Indeed website very frustrating to use. Firstly I had to give a lot of personal information to the site to even be able to search for jobs. I feel that that is very unnecessary. Secondly 99% of the job postings did not match my job title. I also put in the desired wage and EVERYTHING that came up was much lower. That goes along with the desired location (I put Langley, BC) and there were A LOT of job postings that were much further (as far as Kootenays ). Applying a job is very difficult as well. The site insists that you add so much information that is just annoying and unnecessary.

I want to delete my account and discontinue using Indeed. However, contacting them is a complete nightmare and nearly impossible. All in all , I would not recommend using them, as it is a complete waste of time.

The site could be massively improved if it was more accurate in job title, wage and distance location. It could also be improved if you could just select a job title and simply just have the opportunity to upload the resume and cover letter (possibly reference letters ass well if appropriate).

All in all this site is not adequate to say in the least and I would not recommenced to anyone.

Hi Lisa, thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re sorry to hear the site felt frustrating to use. We understand how disappointing it is when job results don’t align with your title, pay, and preferred location, and when the application process feels more time-consuming than expected. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it as we continue working to improve the experience for job seekers.

To explain, Indeed’s search engine is built to surface the most relevant roles, but broad keyword matching or limited context can occasionally pull in unrelated results. We’re continually refining this so the right jobs show up first. To get the most relevant results, enter keywords between quotation marks related to the job you want (for example: "Social Media Manager").

If you wish for that account and all its data to be deleted, you will need to fill out this form,

https://requests.hrtechprivacy.com/create?entity=INDEED&hl=en_US

Once you do, you will receive an email to confirm your request, however, it will not be possible to reuse that email address again on Indeed.

We hope this helps!
