Horrible Company

Horrible Company. LAZY. You give the information and if it isn't easy to prove you are rejected within minutes. It would take little effort to prove the facts sent in. Get OFF your butts and DO YOUR JOB. WHY do companies work with lazy ones like this?

Delivery left a HEAVY box in from of Handicap Door.

Delivery people left a HEAVY box, right in front of an Electronic door. I happened to go by, and there was a person in a wheelchair trying to get in, but Couldn't. O don't know how long she waited there to get in. Luckily I was able to push the huge box and all the other packages out of the way. There was PLENTY of room to leave everything to the side, But they did not.

Review of Atom.com

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

They will try and Nickel and Dime you to death!

I've just spent about 3 days setting up sales of some domains at ATOM.com, but I won't be staying. It was too frustrating.

Site's decent but here's what I ran into;

Once you put a domain on there, you can "List" it elsewhere, but if you sell it, you still owe atom a commission. If you take it off, You have to notify them and you are still tied to them for 30 days for their cut if you still sell it.

There are 3 levels.

STANDARD tier - You can list there and elsewhere but they will get a 7.5% commission either way. Then, if you try searching for your domain using "Search Available Domains", the ONLY way someone would see YOUR domain on the site is if you use the EXACT domain name. This is basically useless. I feel I have a better shot of being found by someone typing it in in a browser and using Escrow.com for a safe sale.

PLUS - If you move up to "PLUS" you get to pay 15% commission. I haven't tried it, but I'm suspecting with their double-cut now, maybe your domain will show on a wildcard search.

PREMIUM - Listing with them has to be "Exclusive" and they get between 15% and 30% commission, but you are then grouped in with the TON of other listings showing on Premium.

OH, and to become a "Creative", which means you can submit your domains to "Contests", you have to pay a $10.00 fee. BUT you also have to move up a level, so they push you to at least a 15% commission level.

AND.... If you want to Move domains to the "PREMIUM" level, not only are the listings exclusive and commissions 15% - 30%, But you also have to buy "COINS", and it costs One Coin for each domain name you move to Premium!

I am leaving ATOM because of the Nickel and Diming they do... ANYTHING has to be better...

Reply from Atom.com

Billy, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for giving the atom.com platform a try; we always welcome feedback, as it helps us improve the user experience

We understand that setting up and evaluating a new marketplace can take time, however with our listing process, it is designed to allow sellers to add domains quickly so they can start selling within minutes.

I’d also like to clarify a few points mentioned in your review, as there appear to be some misunderstandings about how certain parts of the platform work.

Regarding the Creative membership, there is a one-time $10 fee to join the contest platform as a creative. This helps ensure that participants create legitimate accounts and engage professionally in contests, which protects both contest holders and other creatives.

As noted in our terms, there is a 7-day trial and we offer creatives the opportunity to participate in contests to experience the platform. If you sign up as a domain seller, the creative fee is not required when submitting your domains to the contests.

With respect to listing tiers, our marketplace offers different listing options designed to accommodate various seller strategies. Many sellers begin with Standard listings so their domains can start gaining visibility within the marketplace.

Our automated grading system reviews newly added domains after approximately 72 hours to determine whether they may qualify for Premium consideration.

Domains in brandable marketplaces are rarely discovered by exact-name searches alone; instead, buyers typically discover them through curated searches, categories, recommendations, and other discovery features across the platform.

Upgrading listings to Plus or Premium is optional but provides additional exposure and features that some sellers find beneficial. Our platform also invests significantly in marketing and retargeting campaigns to promote the Premium marketplace to a large audience of potential buyers.

When sellers register accounts specifically for selling domains, we typically provide complimentary platform coins that can be used for Premium submissions. These coins are part of our quality control process, helping ensure that submissions to the Premium marketplace meet certain standards. Premium acceptance rates are intentionally selective and generally are under 5%. Submissions go through multiple rounds of review, including evaluation by experienced human reviewers.

In addition to marketplace exposure, the platform also provides tools such as lead imports allowing sellers to bring their own buyers to the platform with a reduced commission as well as white label portfolio websites that sellers can use to showcase their domains independently.

Regarding commissions and external listings, Standard and Plus domains can be listed on other marketplaces. Commission is only applicable if a buyer lead originates on our platform and negotiations begin through our system. If a domain sells independently elsewhere without originating from our platform, commission would not typically apply.

Premium listings do include an exclusivity agreement designed to maintain consistency and stability within the curated Premium marketplace; however, sellers can still list their domains on certain external platforms provided pricing guidelines are followed. We do have a policy in place for delisting premium listings given the upfront marketing we do.

Finally, I understand that building momentum when selling brandable domains can take time. Many sellers evaluate performance over several months vs. days to allow listings to gain exposure and collect engagement signals that improve visibility.

Our Customer Success team is available via live chat 24/7/365. We would be happy to assist further as needed.

Thank you, Atom.com Customer Success Team

DomainsByOwner.com is showing a FAKE TrustPilot.com review ratings on their site! THIS is the first TrustPilot review for them. If their 4.3 rating on 2505 reviews was legit, wouldn't they actually link to TrustPilot rather than just post the text?

WOW 49% Bad reviews?

WOW! I've been reviewing companies for selling domains and for a company to have 49% BAD reviews with under 400 reviewers sure sent up a red flag. Seeing as GoDaddy owns the company, I don't see how I could trust either at this point.

What a horrible business!

What a horrible business. They don't even take care of problems when you call them. Maintenance? Nope. They don't even come to clean the water filters when the units start to smell like crap, making the clothes smell like crap too. And forget about being reimbursed if the units die on you. Avoid these crooks!

I have gotten emails from these people where a link to a .gov site is actually fake, and a dead-end. You can unsubscribe all you want, but you will still get junk emails. a deeper dive leads to granicus.com which is ALSO NOT a ".gov" site, even though the emails state it is acting on behalf of the US Social Security Administration. They push some Scam companies on you…

They push some Solar companies on you if you look at your electric bill. Ampion, Arcadia and Perch. They advertise cash and savings, but if you look at these 3 companies they have horrible BBB and other ratings and screw us elderly out of $100's if not $1,000's while we try to cancel the fraudulent contracts. Then there are the Ticket agencies! Advertising tickets that aren't even available yet, and for outrageous costs. And if you do try to get tickets through them you hold your breath waiting, and sometimes never even get them for the events. Look at the reviews for those companies too... Capital One Shopping is just helping all of them screw us and getting paid by them themselves. Such a scam!

Review of Abbott

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

ABBOTT, you guys are the WORST

ABBOTT has to be one of the WORST, large Medical Device companies I have ever had to deal with.

It started back with the Freestyle Lite Meter. That meter had this clunky cable you had to buy if you wanted to use their software. It worked years ago, but then it stopped. I contacted customer support and the rep I talked to said they don't have software for that meter. I said they do, I have it installed, but it no longer works. They got extremely rude telling me they NEVER had software for that meter, calling me a liar, and other names. Classy! I ended up getting an Accu-Chek meter after that. SO Much better, with an App on the phone even, and far cheaper test strips. I mean, there is a whole industry of people getting those expensive Freestyle Lite Test Strips through their insurance company and then selling them on eBay. I guess Abbott AND eBay are fine with that side hustle.

NOW, I am back dealing with ABBOTT again. I get prescribed a CGM to monitor my Blood Glucose. It's the Abbott Freestyle Libre 3. The app has flaws, but I have seen from the past ABBOTT Software development is not the best. My main issues is you cannot edit dates. That's fine for alarms and readings, but when you want to enter notes like Food, you should be able to set the time AFTER you've eaten. It should be simple. The other issue is you cannot scroll the timeline and click on the notes. Dexcom does a far better job with their app in that regard. I may try them when my current prescription runs out, but I think it would make my Doctors office really mad, after all I went through... *Read on....

First, there was trouble with the suppliers. My fist supplier did not bill me until 2 months after I got my first order, and when they did, there was some sticker shock. That supplier charged me twice as much as I saw the Libre 3's were going for online. Plus, you HAVE to buy the Freestyle overpriced and useless meter, when the App does more and can run on your phone. It made me wonder if there was a kickback program between my Doctors office and the supplier. Maybe Abbott has no control over some of this, but between Over-priced CGM's and a secondary market for Test strips, it seems like they are in the middle of some shady business practices.

Recently, I had some real issues dealing with Abbott's CGM's. Abbott's Marketing Department, with their infinite wisdom, decided to name their NEW product the Freestyle Libre 3 "Plus". WHAT?

WHY? WHY not call a NEW Product something like Libre 4? It has taken me SEVEN MONTHS to FINALLY get a Doctors office to get me the correct Prescription for the "PLUS" version. When I told the Doctor there was a NEW Meter called the Libre 3 Plus, they STILL put in the order for the Libre 3 (No PLUS). No matter how many times I tried to get them to correct it, the order always came back as Just Libre 3. It is a NEW version, so maybe the person putting in the order only saw "Libre 3" in the current list of items when entering the prescription, so they selected that?

Whatever reason, Abbott really was STUPID to give a NEW but similar product an EXTREMELY similar name. Especially with products for the medical field.

I started the quest to get the Libre 3 "PLUS" over 7 months ago. I had no idea who was screwing up. I Changed Doctors TWICE. I changed Pharmacies TWICE. I changed my Insurance. All because I could not get ANYONE to understand that the Libre 3 PLUS, was something completely Different than the Plain, ole Libre 3. But now we know. The REAL Problem was in Abbott's naming scheme.

Yes, I could have used the Libre 3, but Abbott sent me a letter telling the Libre 3 was being discontinued, so I was afraid stock may get low, and I really can't go without a CGM as they tell me when my BG goes extremely high (584 is my personal best). My BG does swing wildly, and I can't just prick my finger every half hour.

Thank You Abbott! Thank you for all MY wasted man-hours as well as the hours of the Doctors, and the Nurses who sent in the wrong orders as well as the people at the pharmacy I had to talk to to try and solve the issue. SEVEN MONTHS of getting the WRONG DEVICE. All because of your poor marketing decisions.

You guys are the worst!!!
