My appointment was on time and the nurse was highly professional, explaining the vaccination options availabe and which were most necessary for my upcoming trip. Though did not up-sell products.

A-Plan. Who are always competitive, without expecting me to do their leg-work Then try to match the best quote I could find elewhere.
Policy excesses should never be overlooked, in favour of a lower premium. Again A-Plan offer realistic excesses and even advise, if they think you may get better value elsewhere.

I have no hesitation in recommending A-Plan Insurance.

Got as far as phoning one, big name alternative and was kept on hold and then offered a huge excess.

Good, honest company that does it's best to offer decent value insurance, by way of personable staff and a wide range of policies.
My particular interest is to insure classic cars and this can be a minefield.
Sure, there are others out there offering, what seem to be a similar service and range of options.
But in my experience: many like to add, last-minute clauses, severly limit your annual mileage or just offer poor value.
Adrian Flux are still UK based and use clear speaking staff, who actually understand the UK insurance market and are not simply reading-off a sales script.
The call handlers actually seem empowered to make decisions and don't claim to be giving you some 'today only' deal.
Lastly: AF do not seem to sell your personal information to the devil.
