DO NOT TRUST APO

I’ve lived in APO barking for over a year and it’s been a terrible experience. Awful security means parcels go missing all the time and the staff don’t care. The utilities company is terrible. The parking is a joke - staff give false information then your hit with massive fines. The staff didn’t have our keys ready on our move in date. They front door lock broke, was replaced but then we were given the wrong keys for it so couldn’t get in. The hot water has turned off multiple times. I’ve never lived anywhere so poorly managed with such a lack of care for residents.

Review of Admiral Insurance

Awful Service. Incompetent Advisors. TRIED TO RIP ME OFF

Really awful customer service.

When my car insurance was going to renew, I spoke with a telephone advisor to get several different quotes (I wanted to compare how much my insurance would cost with/without black box, when I change address, If I changed jobs, IF I changed my annual miles etc). The guy I spoke to was nice, he assured me nothing would change until i had confirmed any of the above, but my policy did change. My details were changed without my knowledge and as a result my insurance went up by £100! I called back to complain and a different advisor couldn't help me. She didn't understand what had happened and couldn't answer any of my questions (questions that the previous advisor could). She made me answer hundred of questions then gave me the same quote after an hour. Was a total waste of time. So I decided to leave Admiral and go elsewhere - I found MUCH cheaper insurance with someone else with ALL of the benefits that Admiral were offering WITHOUT a box. (Admiral wanted me to pay over £200 per month and I got insurance with Esure for £75 per month, with no box, and all the same cover.

What makes it worse is Admiral have never got in touch to tell me when they will remove the box. They don't insure me anymore. They tried calling me ONCE and I couldn't take the call so they never called again. OH. and the had the audacity to write me letters asking why I had cancelled my direct debit to them even though they didn't insure me any more and my account was 100% paid! It's been a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Get Cheaper Alternatives Elsewhere!

I got car insurance with Admiral after passing my test at 24. 12-months comprehensive cover with a black box, which was fine. The problems came when, after a year of driving safely with no claims, no bad telemetry score, and turning 25, that I decided to call admiral and ask what my insurance would cost after renewal.
All i wanted to do was call and ask some questions: 1. How will my insurance be affected when i move address? and 2. What will the difference in price be if I have my black box removed? I just wanted some quotes.

Without my knowledge, the advisor on the phone made changes to my policy and so I received an email stating my insurance was going up by £500 for the year. I called them back and spoke to another advisor, this one not understanding the situation, kept me on the phone for an hour answering questions, just to tell me the same price. I asked her 'can you tell me how much it will be if I keep my black box?'. She said 'No. I'd have to get a separate department to change your details then have them give you a new policy with the black box'.

It's ridiculous. I just wanted to know how much my insurance would be IF I made certain changes. Instead changes were made to my policy without my knowledge then I was expected to pay £500 more for the year.

Both advisor couldn't answer my questions. In frustration I requested not to renew my policy as I no longer wanted to be a customer of Admiral.

For the record, I got a MUCH better deal WITHOUT a box with another provider, with all the same benefits. I'm now saving £35 per month thanks to leaving Admiral.

DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

Spent almost £50 on a 'hey amigo' (Mexican on a horse) costume and then paid extra for next day delivery. It came two days later...
And instead of the costume I had actually paid for, they sent me a sumbrero and a super Mario costume. So dissapointed, can't event get through to the company on the phone. Think it's probably a scam.
