Surly service both online chat and by phone from their South African call centre. ‘Easy to cancel online’? Go on, try it! Then a £50 cancellation fee after waiting ages to speak to an operator. Would have left a no-star rating if that was an option. Would NOT recommend, will NEVER use them again.

Cannot recommend Zopa highly enough. Their interest rates, while on the slightly high side, are still reasonable enough. Certainly less than many credit cards and store cards. Their app is simple to use and intuitive.

At a time when my own bank - despite my credit rating of 999 - declined to lend me (few were lending at the height of the first lockdown), Zopa came through very quickly for me.

I was lucky enough to be able to pay off early, for which there is no penalty or fee - result!
