Great service.

The train was clean and the beds were comfortable in the Club Sleeper room. The top bunk is a little difficult to get out of, not helped thin metal ladder rungs which are very painful in bare feet. The food in the Club Car was OK, but typical re-heated airline style, so e.g, eggs were rubbery as was the toast. The train was on-time despite re-routing via the East Coast mainline due to engineering works on the West Coast. Overall impression is that Caledonian market the train as up market luxury experience and charge accordingly, whereas the actual is good quality and equivalent to business class on an airline.

Package damaged with one item missing.

The Jet2 flight was excellent, easy check in at Stansted and excellent service on the flight, just what we have come to expect from Jet2. Arrival at airport was also very smooth and transfer to the Doubletree Hilton Antalya in Kemer was also very smooth. Check in at hotel was easy even though it was 01:30 in the morning. We were told the buffet downstairs was open if we wanted to eat even at such a late hour. In general the hotel was fantastic and the selection of food outlets, coffee bars and bars was superb. There was generally plenty of room either on the terraces along the private beach or by the pool, although towards the end of our stay we did have to let the hotel staff know that there were many people reserving sunbeds with towels first thing in the morning and often not returning until well into the afternoon. Our hotel room was excellent and kept very clean by the hotel staff. In the main hotel staff were very courteous and helpful, but I do have to give a special shout out for Funda in the restaurant in the evening, she was our star member of staff. Now to some suggestions for improvement. Whilst the entertainment in the evenings was very professional it would have been nice to have had the opportunity for a dance. Secondly the sound levels were very high and as the entertainment was mostly in the open at our hotel and the neighbouring hotels it was almost impossible to get to sleep before midnight when most of the outside entertainment finished. It is for this reason that I have given the holiday 4 stars. Lastly, and not within the control of Jet2, the airport at Antalya was very crowded in departures even at 23:00 when our flight was starting to board. There was nowhere to sit and the toilets were pretty disgusting. Although the journey home didn't spoil our holiday it did put me off flying to Antalya airport.

All Jet2 staff on flight and in resort were extremely customer oriented and went the extra mile to help. Especially as my partner needed minor medical attention while abroad and Jet2 staff in resort asked after her several times during the holiday. On our return I suffered food poisoning on our last day and the Jet2 crew on our flight were exceptional in their care and attention. The reason for not giving 5 stars is because there were some small issues with the hotel. Specifically the lay out of the restaurant and procedures at breakfast, which were contributory to my partner's burn which needed medical attention and secondly I believe the food poisoning I encountered on our last day was very possibly attributable to smoked salmon I had for breakfast. Additionally our room was slightly misrepresented in the photographs of the hotel on the Jet2 and the hotel's own website. The hotel we stayed at was the Barcelo Corelejo Sands in Fuertaventura.
