Reputable British Company. Always wanted a quality shoe instead of Next/Clarks even Ecco. But always outside my budget. Thing is, ordering online is a lottery. My standard size is Euro 45 way, too big, exchanged for 44, still too big. Gave up

Purchased Adidas trainers for twice weekly gym use from Elgin branch in Scotland. Within 4 weeks, plastic lace eyelets had begun to split. Store manager refused to replace or refund stating that I must have been tying them wrong. I don’t think so, been tying shoelaces for 60 years! His suggestion to contact Adidas directly was a complete waste of time; they cannot replace/refund if not purchased online. 2nd visit to Elgin store was met with the same rude, arrogant and unhelpful store manager who refused to give his name. Reluctantly he provided email for Sports Direct Head Office. Awful experience. I cannot recommend this shower of cowboys who have zero skills in customer service

Ordered lawnmower oil draining kit. Completely useless. Messy to operate, deformed plastic tubing, managed to get out around 400 mls, then tipped the mower on its side and got another 200 mls out. Will give to my 2 year old grandson to play with in the bath

Never had any problems with GFCash..... just the courier that they use! Despite them being aware of my "safe" delivery place if not in, the driver chose to return to the depot with my parcel which was time critical. Was therefore unable to take my order away with me on holiday which was really irritating!

Holiday weekend probably delayed the normally rapid courier service. Item as described at fair price. Pity it wasn’t the driver for me ….. ☹️. Morale of the story… try before you buy, especially drivers and putters.

I have been very amused by the powerful marketing that goes on with modern shaving products. Four, five even six bladed, pulsating turbocharged shaving heads that hook you in with a £4-6 outlay and then hammer your wallet for the refills! Over the last 20 years I reckoned that you couldn't do better than a 2-3 bladed flexible headed job from Gillette or Wilkinson. Quick safe and easy. They get into the nooks and crannies of the aging face, hell, they are safe enough for your female partner to let you loose on their intimate bits!
But, being a 54 year old traditionalist, and becoming fed-up of searching for flexible 3 blade refills, and refusing to pay £10-£20 for 3 or 4 "modern" refills I thought I would hark back to my teenage days when my first shaving experiences were using my Dad's safety razor on my bumfluff!
I found your site very informative and based on your published reviews I went for the Muhle R89 Closed Comb Safety Razor as a good starting point for a "novice". I was under no illusions that the transition would be straightforward and I am still persevering.
My observations so far:
The angle of attack is critical as the shaving head does not correct itself automatically. I find myself having to "go over old ground" and therefore shaving is taking much longer.
The shaving head is bulky and domed making it tricky to get close under the nose and bottom lip. Getting a sharp defining edge on side-burns is also awkward.
I am not altogether convinced that the shave is closer than a flexible 2-3 blader with a decent handle. I am currently evaluating this by using the Mach 3 on one side, and the Muhle R89 on the other but early results suggest that my recent purchase is not doing so well.
I would not dare use a safety razor near a female partner unless she was considering female circumcision!

I wonder if safety razors are for the domain of the young taut skinned chaps who are ,as yet, not burdened by age/worry lines. Us older blokes need a third hand and some interesting facial grimacing to get a good shave within 5 minutes with a safety razor. I might look at your swanky handles for Gillette 3 bladers and get the job done in under 2 mins. It has been a fascinating trip down memory lane, thank you for that.
