I was charged for year with domestika…

I was charged for year with domestika plus, even though I was not notified about the transaction and I tried to cancel the subscription multiple times without success. Whenever I tried to login to my domestika account I got redirected to my old account, where it stated that I do NOT have any yearlz subscription or coming up subscription, so I could not cancel it. When I tried to talk to domestika support I got always redirected by a robot, not answering mz questions. When the transaction took place anyway, I contacted domestika again, demanding the monez back ON THE SAME DAY without using any resources. I have NEVER looked on the the course and demanded the refund a few hours after the transaction was done, it was also made at night, since I live in Europe and I contacted the domestica immediately after I woke up. Than I got a bunch of automated responses. I tried to contact Paypal on this case, but after I could not provide all the supportive information in time- I have a child with disability (down syndrome) at home and all this happened during his school holidays, when he was the whole time with me and depended on my support, so I simply had no time or energy on this case and now it is written that the case is closed in favour of the seller. I NEED this case to be re-opened and the supply all my emails that I sent to domestika in demand of help.

Who is affected? What is the problem?
Thousands of Domestika users across Europe, the UK, the US, and beyond are being charged for Domestika Plus subscriptions they never knowingly signed up for. Customers buy individual courses, often promoted at very low prices, only to discover later that they have been automatically enrolled in a “free” trial of Domestika Plus. After a short period, the subscription renews without clear consent, costing up to €200–€300 per year.

Many victims feel trapped, misled, and powerless. Refund requests are often ignored or denied, while the platform continues to profit from this practice. Complaints have been mounting for at least three years, and yet the issue persists.

What is the demand or solution?
We demand that Domestika, along with relevant consumer protection authorities in Europe and internationally, take immediate action to:

Stop automatic enrollment into Domestika Plus without clear, explicit, and informed consent.
Refund all unauthorized charges to affected customers.
Implement transparent subscription practices that comply with consumer protection laws.
Authorities such as the German Verbraucherzentrale, the Spanish OCU, the European Consumer Centre (ECC), and their counterparts in the UK and US must step in to investigate and enforce fair practices.

Why is it important to take action now?
This is not just about individual users losing €200 here or £300 there. It is about millions of euros in unauthorized charges quietly flowing into the pockets of a company through a deceptive system that has been in place for years.

Every month that passes, more unsuspecting learners are affected. What began as a respected creative learning platform has now become a source of frustration and mistrust for its own community.

We call on Domestika to restore its integrity, and on consumer protection authorities to ensure no company can profit from such unfair, misleading, and possibly illegal practices. The time to act is now.

Flights moved and then cancelled!

We have booked our tickets to Iceland for summer holidays in November. It was done especially in advance. After that we have booked a campervan and a non-refundable hotel for the last night - since the flight was planned at night and we had to stay somewhere near the airport for the night. 2 Months later we have recieved email that our flights are no longer taking place on the planned dates - we could choose another dates free of charge. but there was no possibilty for the same trip length. Ok we did change it, it took half a day to change all the accomodation reservations and email with the non refundable hotel...another 3 months go by and we recive one more email. This time the flights are cancelled and are no longer operated from our town at all!!! what do we do? Now it is april already and the flights for our dates in other aircompanies rose as well!!! Horrible aircompany - such thing never happened with us on any other euripean lowcoster companies.
