THIS HAS BEEN SO STRESSFUL
During the initial visits, Paul Davis appears to be helpful and caring, but please don’t let this fool you. They hire sub contractors that do not make sure the work is done professionally. A supervisor rarely visits the property site to ensure the work is being completed correctly. When someone is contacted about jobs that were messily completed, they are labeled as “difficult.” I know this because one of their contractors told me that they get a lot of complaints about jobs, and the customers are then referred to as “difficult.” They will damage your home while repairing it. I had to have my floors replaced, which was almost 30k, after Paul Davis finished working inside of my house. While they are working inside of your home, they place their tools on countertops and in sink bowls, which scratch the surfaces. They become upset when you mention the issues. The work in your driveway and on the lawn and leave their messes. The left spots in my driveway that i had just paid thousands to replace. The very day that I noticed the huge spots/stains, I sent them photos and asked what the residue was, and I got no response, but someone did attempt to pressure wash the stains, but the stains/spots would not come up. The stains are still in my driveway. They simply said we have pressure washed the driveway, and we are not going to keep going back and forth about the driveway. The paint job on my walls, trim, and baseboards is TERRIBLE. I will have to pay someone to at least paint the trim correctly because it’s peeling and it looks like areas were not painted. I have photos of how my kitchen cabinets initially looked until I pointed out issues, but pointing out issues gets you labeled as “difficult.” The worst part of all to me was when Paul Davis’s unpacking crew returned my furniture and personal items to the house after my house was ready for me to move back in. Well, they told me they only have one day to unpack all of the boxes and put everything back in drawers, closets, cabinets, etc because they’re booked all of the following week. They didn’t get to my house until after lunch time because they called to tell me they’re going eat lunch before they arrive, which was fine, but by 7 pm, they were burnt out from moving heavy all wood furniture and heavy boxes. So, they left tons of boxes unpacked, and rooms were left in a mess. I found linen in the closet with shoes, toys in my master bedroom drawers, electronics in closets, with the shoes, etc. I worked 2 months to sort through things. Now, I’m noticing that things are missing, and again I’m being labeled as “ difficult.” I wish there was a place for me to upload photos. You’d see that I’m not exaggerating! My experience has been extremely hurtful! Also, my living room buffet was returned w/o the legs. I didn’t notice until after they had left. The manager initially told me they’d pay to replace my 100% solid wood. He said, “Now make sure you get what’s compatible to yours. I can’t recall the exact words, but when I sent him the cost of mine with at least 5 to 7 buffets similar to mine, he firmly told me I’d have to talk to the manager because they can have the legs made. They’re not paying for a buffet because have the kegs mage would be more cost effective for them. The legs were ordered from Amazon, and they paid a furniture repairman to put them on. Also, my brand new European oak floors were badly scratched when my furniture was moved back in. I can tell where the repairs were done, but the repair guy was awesome. He did his best. But, now tge floors are lifting where the repairs were made. I’m sure I’ll have to use my extra boxes to repair the floor, and I only have 3 boxes of wood left. I bought the extra boxes to have in the far future for “just in case.” If you can avoid these issue, why have to deal with what I’ve gone through. I’d like to save you the trouble. It’s extremely stressful even months later.
