I entered my license plate to get floor…
I entered my license plate to get floor mats made to fit my car. I only needed the front two mats, so I found a pair of mats in stead of a kit of 5. I paid and ordered the mats. I got the confirmation email a few minutes later, and noticed the mats where "universal". I looked for ways to cancel the order, and ended up talking to an AI bot. This was on a Saturday. The AI bot eventually forwarded my email to the customer service. On Sunday morning I got an email saying they would contact the warehouse to cancel the order. I had also placed a second order for a set of 5 mats actually made to fit my car about 10 minutes after I ordered the first set of universal mats. I got an email today where they said it was "Too late to cancel the order" and I would have to pay a return fee if I didn't want them. I don't really know how I could have contacted them faster. If the web page is able to notify the warehouse to send me the order, I would imagine it could notify them NOT to send it. I feel this is horrible customer service, and I will gladly eat the 200 NOK return fee to return both orders.
Update: Today, Tuesday 4 days after the order they claim could not be cancelled, I got an email saying the mats have been packaged and is waiting for pickup to be sent. The carrier received electronic notification of it saying it is going to be sent. This is beyond infuriating. I have not received a shipping number for the mats I actually wanted that was ordered about 10 minutes after the order for the mats that DO NOT FIT MY CAR despite showing up ABOVE the mats that DO fit my car in the list that is generated when you enter the License plate number. The email notifying me that the mats have been packaged and is ready for shipping, says "It is now too late to cancel the order" .
Update 2, thursday, 6 days after I cancelled the order, I got a confirmation email that the item has been shipped.
Skruvat, your answer makes 0 sense. Entering a license plate number should bring parts that are made for the car FIRST. Universal parts can be listed afterwards with a clear separation of the two. It's like trying to buy an orange and your first suggestion is a watermelon presented as a suitable substitute. The added insanity is that you have oranges in stock.
