Its a very good application and helps me get the hang of games slowly but the 2 hour limit is making that process harder

Great trainer, questionable monetization

Wand is genuinely one of the best trainer/mod tools I've used, and I have no problem paying for good work. Maintaining thousands of trainers across constantly changing games clearly takes real effort.

But putting a 2-hour daily limit on the core feature feels less like a free tier and more like a subscription timer. Especially when Wand is already expanding into maps, guides, highlights and other services.

At $7.99/month or $70/year, Pro may be reasonable for heavy users. For someone who uses trainers occasionally, though, that's a recurring fee primarily to remove a restriction rather than gain value I need.

I'd happily support the work. I'm just not convinced the timer is the right way to monetize it.

Great app

Great app, but not all trainers for some games are available. Ex. Plagues Tale requiem etc. Also they push the pro too hard

Glad you're enjoying Wand overall! Sorry to hear A Plague Tale: Requiem isn't working as expected, if you click the "?" icon on the game's page and select "Report an Issue," that'll get the details straight to the team. Also noted your comment about Pro, I'll pass that along.

2-hour daily limit

The 2-hour daily limit has completely ruined the experience for me. Having to constantly check the clock while playing takes away all the fun and makes gaming feel unnecessarily restricted.

This is especially disappointing because the service used to be much more enjoyable without this limitation. I strongly urge the developers to remove the 2-hour daily limit and bring back the freedom that made the software so useful in the first place.

Because of this change, I have stopped using Wand and switched to other completely free alternatives that don't impose such restrictive time limits.

You have unfortunately taken something that was supposed to make gaming more enjoyable and turned it into something that makes me constantly worry about how much time I have left. Please listen to your users and remove this limit.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to share this. The daily session is the model the team landed on to keep Wand sustainable while still letting people play for free, and while it's here to stay, the team is actively working on ways to give free users more playtime flexibility, with more to share before long.

So many "paid reviews" on her now

So many "paid reviews" on her now. The fact is the software is good, but the execution sucks. Standing firmly on a 2 hour limit for free users from what they had before? Seem like a shotgun slug to both kneecaps. Stop feeding fake "positive" reviews because 5-10% back you up on this change, the rest don't. I much rather watch 10-20 ads to extend my play time with 2 hourss more, than EVER paying for CHEATS. That is a fundamental core value the OG video games devs didn't want to ever be commercialized. That was their in-game work tools, not someone's paycheck.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to share this. The positive reviews coming in are genuine, and the decision behind the daily session wasn't made against the grain of the community, it came from looking at how people were actually using Wand, so it reflects a lot more of the userbase than it might seem from the loudest reactions. The model itself is what the team landed on to keep Wand sustainable while still letting people play for free, and while it's here to stay, there's active work underway on giving free users more playtime flexibility, with more to share before long.

I originally installed WeMod in 2023

I originally installed WeMod in 2023. It was a straightforward game trainer that I understood to be one thing when I installed it.

Then, through an automatic update, that installation effectively turned into a rebranded product called Wand, with a completely different direction and increasingly aggressive monetization.

That's the part I find deeply concerning.

Software that can silently update itself from the product I intentionally installed into a substantially different product, without requiring me to explicitly consent to that change, makes me question whether I can trust the software on my machine in the first place.

And now the “free” experience has been restricted with a two-hour daily usage limit, pushing users toward a paid subscription for functionality that previously wasn't artificially time-limited.

I'm not opposed to companies charging money for software. I'm opposed to installing one product and having it automatically mutate into another product with a new brand, new business model, and new restrictions after the fact.

At this point, calling it “Wand” feels less like an evolution of WeMod and more like discovering that an application I trusted had been replaced underneath me.

If I have to wonder what this software is going to become after its next automatic update, I no longer trust it enough to keep installed.

Well lets wave that Wand,

*POOF*

Uninstalled.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to lay this out. The shift from WeMod to Wand wasn't a different product replacing the one you installed, it's the same team and the same core software, just under a new name and a broader direction, doing what we're known for on a much larger scale. The daily session is part of what the team landed on to keep that sustainable while still letting people play for free, and it isn't where things are meant to settle either, there's active work underway on giving free users more playtime flexibility.

Hey, really glad the overall experience has been good! Just to clarify the daily limit is 2 hours not 3. The timer was introduced after looking closely at the data and over half of free users were already playing 2 hours or less per day before it existed. On missing games feel free to search for them in Wand and hit Boost to show your interest. Work is underway on more playtime flexibility for free users with updates on the way.

Hey there, we appreciate the love and the rating, and trust us, we hear you on Linux! The honest reason it's not on the horizon is that Wand is built specifically for Windows from the ground up, so supporting Linux would mean essentially rebuilding it from scratch, which just isn't feasible right now. It's genuinely great to have you keen enough to ask, though, and we're glad Wand's winning you over on Windows in the meantime.

Hey there, Black Myth Wukong is no joke, so getting to actually experience it instead of hitting the same wall over and over is a great first Wand moment to have! And there's nothing to feel funny about, you bought the game, and playing it in a way you actually enjoy is entirely yours to choose. Difficulty shouldn't keep you from a game you paid for. Really glad it clicked for you, enjoy the journey through.
