My wife and I who are pensioners of…

My wife and I who are pensioners of nearly 76 yrs of age attended your hotel in Tenerife 26th June/7th July room 461 junior suite and paid some £3,600 for the privilege
For our 45 wedding aniversary and chose this
Hotel because we had not been to Tenerife and previously stayed at your hotels in Majorca and Lanzarote which where excellent and of the 4/5 star standard however Tenerife is very below your standard 3star at best
On arrival the reception was excellant however on the way to our room we notice in areas holes where plaster coming of the walls when entering our room although lovely location it was very dated and very small for a junior suit
The first problem air conditioning made a banging noise the engineer true to fix at 10 pm
At night after we where already exhausted from our travels although working now not doing its job because control is old with temp control
Then after first day found that after cleaner had been the preferred items where not replaced and glasses where not washed or replaced
On visiting the pool we found the bins stayed full all day with flies around it full of rubbish and nappy bags the toilets by the spa where dirty neither attended or cleaned regularly it was hard for us to have swim at any time due to young men every day using it as their own private water basketball court and pool attendant doing nothing
The restaurants where lovely accept if in a Spanish restaurant I expect to here a Spanish guitar same in Italian for atmosphere accept their was jazz played throughout the hotel ?
Would we stay here again no it really does need major changes would I go back to your Lanzarote or Majorca hotels yes

Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach is great for a girl's trip

It’s refreshing to stay at a property where you truly never feel the need to leave. With excellent amenities, great food, and wonderful people, everything you need is right there. I especially appreciated the variety of dining options, along with the on-site shops, café, and sundry market.

What surprised me most, though, was how genuinely pleasant and eager to help everyone was. Housekeepers greeted us warmly whenever we passed by, and the valet team welcomed us back each time we returned to the property. That level of hospitality really stood out.

A special shoutout to a few team members who made our stay even more memorable: Jen and Mike at the front desk patiently answered all our questions and took great care of our needs. Ben at Pete’s was incredibly warm and attentive — he made us feel like we were hanging out at a favorite neighborhood bar. Bu at Watertable quickly remembered our preferences after we dined there two nights in a row, which was such a thoughtful touch. And M and K at the spa (I wish I could remember their full names!) were so accommodating, even though we arrived just an hour before closing.

My friends and I can’t wait to come back. This place is truly a gem in Huntington Beach. Thank you for the memories!

I recently stayed at Hyatt Vacation…

I recently stayed at Hyatt Vacation Club at Sirena del Mar from July 18–25, 2026, and unfortunately this was one of the most disappointing Hyatt stays I have experienced.

The biggest issue was roof construction that took place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday directly above or very near our penthouse. The noise made it impossible to relax or take my normal afternoon nap. I have a heart condition and require a daily rest period for medical reasons. I explained this to the front desk, but each day I was told the construction would either be minimal or would be finished that day. Neither statement proved to be accurate.

On Thursday, a manager offered to move us to another room but said he first needed to contact the construction crew because the work should already have been finished. I agreed to wait in my room for an update. He never called or followed up.

Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there.

On Thursday morning, we were preparing breakfast in our villa for a group of ten people when we discovered the oven did not work. Although we were told someone would come “right up,” it took more than 45 minutes for anyone to arrive and approximately two hours before the oven was repaired. Our breakfast was significantly delayed.

That same evening, we ordered room service around 5:30 p.m. and were told it would take about 30 minutes. More than two hours later, after checking on the order, we learned the food had been delivered to the wrong room. We finally received our dinner after 7:30 p.m. To the resort’s credit, the room service charges were removed from our folio before we left the property. I appreciated that adjustment, but it did not address the broader issues we experienced during our stay.

The property itself has beautiful ocean views, spacious villas, and the potential to be an outstanding resort. Unfortunately, our vacation was overshadowed by three days of construction noise, poor communication, slow maintenance response, room service delays, and a lack of follow-through from management.

What disappointed me most was not simply that problems occurred—those can happen anywhere—but how they were handled. Communication was inconsistent, expectations about the construction repeatedly proved inaccurate, promises to follow up were not kept, and the primary issue was never resolved while we were there.

I chose Hyatt because I expected a higher standard of service. Guests should be informed in advance when significant construction may affect their stay, particularly when that work is taking place directly above or near their accommodations. When problems do arise, I also expect management to communicate accurately and follow through on what they promise.

Sirena del Mar is a beautiful property, which makes this experience especially disappointing. I sincerely hope the resort improves its communication about planned construction and its response when guest concerns arise.

Don't book with them

Booked a hotel but did not get a confirmation so tried to book again but the hotel did not have the dates I wanted so had to book a different hotel in the same area. Called the helpline number to clarify what was booked and was told the first booking had not gone through, even now 8 weeks later that booking is not showing in my Hyatt account.

On return from the trip I noticed a charge on my credit card for a no show for the original hotel. After a number of weeks of trying to get this sorted I am told I was sent a confirmation email and I did not cancel the booking so no refund.

Goes to say after being a customer a while and using hotels 3 times in the last year I will not be booking again.

Will speak to the credit card company to see if they are able to do anything.

Hidden 5% added to bills

I went to book the Andaz Hotel in London and note they have small print showing a 5% discretionary service charge is added to the bill, which is the Ryanair style of sneaky pricing.

Most people will be too embarrassed to challenge this at on paying their bill, but might not have booked when looking at price comparison sites.

Consumers need to be aware and vote with their feet or other hotels will do the same.

On challenging this with Hyatt, they said it is the same as a restaurant. No! A restaurant provides 1-2 hours of service whereas check-in is 2-3 minutes at best with the hotel room cost twice the price of a meal.

Staff assaulted my girlfriend — Hyatt called it “frustrations”

A staff member at Secrets Tulum — a Hyatt Inclusive Collection resort — sexually assaulted my girlfriend during a spa treatment on July 30, 2026. The property then blocked the 911 police I called from entering, refused to identify the perpetrator or any staff involved ("for privacy reasons" — we have it on video), allowed three unidentified men claiming to be police into our room while the real officers were turned away at the gate, and had security surveil us until our card was charged in full at checkout.

There is an open criminal case with the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor's Office — file FGE/QR/TUL/DEL/4225/2026, assigned to the Specialized Prosecutor for Sexual Crimes, Tulum.

This review is about Hyatt, the company. I filed a formal complaint with Hyatt Consumer Affairs (Case CAS6639431), their Corporate Compliance Office, their EthicsPoint line (Report 355110325801), Inclusive Collection management, and six named Hyatt executives including the CEO — all on July 31. The first response Hyatt sent, on behalf of their Guest Services leadership, described my partner's sexual assault and the obstruction of police as "the frustrations you faced," asked for reservation details that were already in the complaint they were replying to, and pushed for a phone call instead of anything in writing.

That is how Hyatt corporate responds when a guest reports a sexual assault by staff and police obstruction at one of their flagship all-inclusive properties. A "5-star" brand is a promise about what happens when things go wrong. Hyatt broke it at the property, then broke it again at corporate. Criminal, regulatory, and consumer proceedings are underway in Mexico and Canada. Book accordingly.

Almost impossible to book the needed…

Almost impossible to book the needed dates, extremely inconvenient, and the data is changing all the time. It is not worst it to own the credit card, and transferring the Chase miles. While I was transferring, literally in 2 minutes the deal became unavailable. Terrible experience. I believe this is my first negative review ever.

Continental breakfast is awesome grub, but what makes the experience unforgettable is a service worker who works diligently efficient and is ubiquitous in her efforts to ensure guests are stocked with food, drinks, and free from mess. Her attitude is top-notch, additionally. Her name is Ashliegh from the Iowa City location. 10,000 stars for Her!

Unexpected Charge

We stayed at Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook near Chicago. The stay was supposed to be covered with points. When we checked in, the room was too small since I snore. We talked to the front desk about changing rooms to two connecting rooms and still using the points + cash. We were told it would only add about $189 to the stay. It would shorten our stay from 5 days to 3 days. We talked with the hotel management and corporate daily to make sure the hotel room was covered since an extra $200 was fine, but an extra $600 was not.

We left the hotel with our check out confirmation. When we got home, they charged us $618 and a $250 hold. The hold fee went away, but the $618 has been maintained as the room fee. Nearly 60K points are gone, and we are out $600 for a room that wasn't that nice.

According to corporate, it was an unexpected charge. I am baffled how any hotel is unable to determine the room charge on the day they rent the room. There might be fees, taxes, or usage charges, but you should know if the room is going to cost $600 or not.

UPDATE: It took talking to the BBB and the State Attorney General for Ohio and Illinois to convince Hyatt to refund the money. After a month of emails and arguing our case, we finally reached a positive conclusion.

In disute for 6 months legal action now last resort.

I have now been locked in dispute with the Hyatt Hotel Group for over 6 months regarding a holiday at the Secrets Royal Beach Hotel at Punta Cana. It was supposed to be an all inclusive resort but there were extra hidden charges upon arrival. I paid considerably extra for supposedly preferential services and got zero in return. This is not a 5 star hotel and the after sales service I received was appalling. It reeks of we are Hyatt and we are a large hotel group, we take your money and give nothing in return or what is promised. I have been battling this injustice via my Amex credit card for 6 months and to be honest although I have been a card member for over 25 years their performance dealing with this has been very disappointing. I am about to issue a final warning to Hyatt before I take them to small claims court in the UK. This is now more about principals than the money, to take someone’s money and then not provide the services promised could be viewed as at least misrepresentation at one end of the spectrum to a criminal act at the worse end.

Cherrell excelled - Perfect stay

I stayed at Hyatt House Atlanta/Downtown for two weeks while on business. I couldn't fault the stay. Perfect corner room, with a kitchen and lounge and a big bedroom and bathroom. A nice set of foot stalls and with a bar like work area with a look out over the city.
The breakfast was buffet style, offering fruit, cereal and hot cooked breakfast.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. But a special thank you to Cherrell the front desk supervisor who was excellent and extremely helpful and always had a welcoming smile.

Beware of the bait-and-switch at Hyatt…

Beware of the bait-and-switch at Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. I booked a room, but the second I was informed about their hidden, mandatory parking fees, I said "no thanks" and cancelled immediately. Hyatt charged my credit card anyway and refused to refund my $199.31 for a room I never used. This is deceptive business. They hide the real costs, and when you refuse to be ripped off, they steal your money anyway. Absolutely zero integrity. #Hyatt #ConsumerAlert #BaitAndSwitch #StLouis

They use the dishwashers in Hotel X for cleaning the boss office under the excuse of some storage shelf in there. Probably a misunderstanding but clearly not logical to me. They also do strange bags checks for employees quitting their job. Been there for almost 2 months and they never ran a check on me, just after quitting.

I stayed at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in…

I stayed at Hyatt Vivid Grand Island in Mexico

The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and the staff were genuinely friendly throughout my stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room spotless, and every member of staff I encountered was polite and helpful.

Unfortunately, my overall experience was significantly impacted by several issues.

Prior to arrival, I sent three separate email requests asking to change my room from a king bed to a twin-bed configuration. These requests went unanswered. Upon arrival, I was informed that the only room available with two beds was a deluxe room, meaning I had to pay an additional £280 to upgrade. When I asked what additional benefits the deluxe room included, I was told there were none and that the room was essentially the same, just with a different bed configuration.

The most disappointing part of my stay was becoming seriously unwell after eating exclusively at the hotel. On day three, I developed symptoms consistent with food poisoning, including sickness, diarrhoea, severe stomach cramps, and discomfort. This completely ruined the remainder of my holiday. I spent most of the following four days confined to my room, barely able to leave. The journey home was extremely difficult, and I have since had to take time off work while recovering.

While the staff were excellent and the hotel was well presented, the lack of response to my room requests, the unexpected upgrade charge, and the illness that overshadowed the majority of my stay mean I cannot honestly say I had the experience I had hoped for.

Do not stay at this property or work with Hyatt Corporate they dont care and do nothing

Do not stay at this property Hyatt Place Ridgeland MS

Due to a computer error, I was never properly checked in. When I returned after a full day of work, I discovered that hotel staff had entered my room, removed my belongings, and locked me out. I was then charged for a night I did not stay at the hotel.

Because there were no available rooms to correct the situation, I was forced to find another hotel at additional expense and inconvenience.

What is even more troubling is how both the hotel and Hyatt handled the situation afterward. Hyatt Corporate specifically instructed me not to return to the hotel and assured me they would resolve the issue directly. I was told I would receive a response within 24–48 hours.

It has now been 12 days. I have called Hyatt seven times, and each time I was told that someone would contact me. No one has called. No one has followed up. No one has taken responsibility.

Kareem, the manager who checked me in and spoke with me the morning of the incident, never contacted me to apologize or attempt to resolve the matter.

The lack of customer service, accountability, communication, and concern for guests is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Hyatt Place Ridgeland. If something goes wrong during your stay, don't expect prompt assistance from either hotel management or corporate customer care.

Stay elsewhere.
