Not sure how a shipping company could be worse than USPS but EasyPost manages to beat them. Tracking is not available and items always show up a week after their listed delivery date.

Unapproved Charges are Protocol for EasyPost

Not only does EasyPost take a large percentage of your funds each time an update is applied to your balance, they "intermittently" place $50 or $100 charges on your card without your approval, or knowledge. This has happened to me several times. The first time EasyPost mysteriously placed (6) $50 charges on my card, I contacted them and received a scripted response explaining their charges. After informing them that I was going to file (6) chargebacks on the withdrawals, I had the funds back in my account the next day. The latest EasyPost theft occurred today. I haven't used the account in over a week, but I had $200 withdrawn from my credit card today. I contacted them again and informed them that I was going to file chargebacks against the withdrawals right away, and also instructed them to close the account immediately. Not surprisingly, I've received no response from EasyPost at all. This company seems to have a several scripted responses at the ready, in anticipation for situations just like this. This fact, along with the ongoing mysterious charges, and the lack of responses tells it all. EasyPost is willingly and knowingly placing unapproved charges on customer's credit cards, and the very likely get away with it the majority of the time. If you do not check your balance in your account, and on your credit card statement at least once per days, you will certainly fall victim to this as well. This is an extremely dishonest company that we will no longer do business with.

Convinced this is a scam

I am a vendor that sells wholesale on Faire.com. Last fall Faire offered to include easypost insurance on our packages. They conveniently add on a percentage at the end when you are preparing the label. I sell an average of $1,000 a week (five orders or so) and I have been adding several dollars on each package for quite some time. Twice now I have tried to file a claim, small claims at that, and their site is so bad that it will not read the tracking numbers that I enter. It immediately denies the claim and then it takes several days for customer service to get back with you. They are not helpful and state the obvious like I am entering the numbers wrong. I have been in business for over 17 years and have NEVER had an issue filing a claim with any other postage carrier or their insurance. I think they are a scam and I would love to see if anyone has had any luck filing a claim with them.

Too much hidden charge and can not explain why these charges are coming from. No carrier adjustment history and no way to dispute it. Monthly label purchasing volume about $7000 and they stole $400 out of my card without authorization. Resolved with bank dispute.

This company has informed us without…

This company has informed us without any notice at all that we are no longer able to use their insurance when shipping with them. They have told us that due to us not having enough information when filing a claim that it has created a burden with their team. When we first started doing claims, we were told to file the claims a certain way by their team once we receive an inquiry regarding a damage or lost item that way we can just add the information as we go. Now all of the sudden that is a problem and instead of finding a middle ground to a solution that works for both parties, they have decided ultimately to suspend our insurance usage with their service. They have denied multiple claims due to outrageous reasons such as, minor defects when the item is cracked and can no longer be sold. The item being lost and the carrier confirming it is lost and them refusing to pay the claim. This had gotten out of hand and it is not right at all.

A scam

A waste of money and time and they make it impossible to get your money back on damaged items, let alone more than 8 weeks processing time.Don't recommend.

NEVER Use EasyPost

my delivery driver had met my super out back and she had asked if he would like entry to the building, he declined. she then saw him at the front of the building, asking if he would like entry when she was told "no it's okay I already refused the delivery"... what? he mentioned there was no buzzer code on the package, but, there IS. this is ridiculous. I would NEVER use this company for my personal business (I ship very often) and will urge any company I use in the future to NEVER use this service.

Predatory Practices

Paid for shipping insurance on multiple packages. Claims denied with vague explanations. Policy documentation was updated and they claimed it "always worked this way." Leadership response was a corporate form letter. Out over $4K. Moving to a competitor. Buyer beware.

Packages take FOREVER to be delivered

I am a consumer and have returned packages using Easypost return labels. One took 42 days to get within the USA. I recently dropped a package off at USPS and it has not even been scanned into the system and it has been a week. The seller who sent the label is now refusing to give me a refund.

Gave me 4 hours to submit MORE supporting documents despite having all evidence of lost Package. Didn’t payout.

Have bought their insurance for my past 1000 items I have sold. 1 out of my 1000 sales was lost so I filed my first claim. Provided all documents they asked and 3 days later they wanted me to submit the SAME documents I already submitted. Gave me LESS than 4 hours to resubmit the same documents. They Closed my case as I didn’t have the chance to submit the SAME documents I had already provided in a 4 hour time span as I was not in office to submit them. Will not be giving my money to this company ever again. Don’t recommend them to anyone.

Watch out, they double-bill you

When you set up auto-recharge, they will bill your bank account AND your credit card, at the same time! So you're billed twice. And to add pain to injury, they charge a 3% convenience fee for that unnecessary credit card billing. They say the credit card is only a secondary payment method, but they still insist on routinely charging both at the same time. How ridiculous! I tried for the longest time to get some resolution with customer support, but they were adamant that they are doing the right thing by double-billing, and they absolutely would not credit back the convenience fee nor make changes to their billing procedure, although I painstakingly described the problem to them. For such abominable billing practices and lack of any effort at customer service, I give them one star.
