Grey water leaked out every time you used it. Had 2 license plates on it from different states (California and Florida), shower didn't work, rv was loud and embarrassing, smelly and just gross. Do not recommend.

We are a South African family travelling across the USA, and we rented a Cruise America RV for a 3.5-month holiday. We are now about seven weeks into our trip, and unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing rental experiences we've ever had.
The problems started almost immediately. We've dealt with a leaking roof, broken table and bed mechanisms, and now our refrigerator has completely failed. We have already had to take the RV in for repairs once, losing valuable vacation time, and yet the problems continue.
What has been even more frustrating than the mechanical issues is Cruise America's customer service. Every time we report a problem, we're told to wait 24–48 hours for a supervisor to call us back. Every single issue has turned into a battle just to get assistance.
Our fridge and freezer are currently not working, meaning we're losing hundreds of dollars worth of food, yet there seems to be no sense of urgency. It's now been over 24 hours since we reported the issue, and we're still waiting for a supervisor to contact us to arrange repairs.
To make matters worse, we were promised a replacement RV more than two weeks ago, but we're still waiting with no clear communication or timeline.
We understand that mechanical problems can happen with any vehicle, especially one that's constantly on the road. What we cannot understand is the lack of urgency, poor communication, and the amount of time customers are expected to wait while their holiday is disrupted.
We invested a significant amount of money into this once-in-a-lifetime family trip, and instead of enjoying our vacation, we've spent far too much time dealing with breakdowns, repairs, phone calls, and waiting for callbacks.
Based on our experience so far, I cannot recommend Cruise America. The RV has been unreliable, and the customer service has made an already difficult situation far worse.

We rented an RV from Cruise America (RA# 80902347) for a 10-day, 9-night cross-country trip from New Jersey to California, and it was the worst rental experience we've ever had.
The vehicle was handed over dirty, with a filthy fridge and marks all over the floor, despite Cruise America threatening customers with cleaning charges. The handover itself was rushed and inadequate, leaving us to figure out switches and control panels ourselves.
Then the real problems started. The generator wouldn't run for more than 30 seconds no matter what troubleshooting we tried (manual, videos, and their phone support). That meant no AC in the living area for the entire trip, which was dangerous for our dog, a brachycephalic breed that struggles in heat. We were forced to reroute the whole trip to stay at powered campsites every night, costing us nearly $1,000 extra in campsite fees. We also exceeded our prepaid 3,000 miles and burned extra fuel, all because they supplied a faulty vehicle.
The water heater never worked either, so it was freezing cold showers for 10 days. Their phone support's suggestion? That we rewire a control panel ourselves. Outrageous.
The side door latch kept failing from day 2. Even the deadbolt wouldn't hold it shut, and we had to tie it closed with rope to stop it swinging open while driving. The staff member at drop-off couldn't get it to stay shut either, so this wasn't user error.
We reported issues by phone during the trip and again at drop-off, then to customer relations as directed. After all of that, Cruise America refunded us $33.70. Thirty-three dollars, for a trip where their broken vehicle cost us over $1,000 in unplanned expenses and made a stressful international relocation miserable.
We will never rent from Cruise America again, and we'd urge anyone considering it to think twice. If anything goes wrong with the vehicle, you'll be left to fix it yourself and fobbed off afterwards.

I’ve made two reservations with Cruise America and had to cancel one of them. Both the booking and cancellation processes were seamless, and the customer service was excellent throughout. I would especially like to recognize Ms. Lisa Bostick, whose assistance was outstanding. She was highly efficient, professional, and exceptionally kind.

Well I had an injury an was unable to make the trip, an I was unable to get a refund on the $300.00 that I put down on a deposit. And I could understand that if I just did not go but having an injury being in the hospital is a little different
