App is terrible,can’t take pictures of receipts for expenses because there is no expenses option and can’t send to hmrc once completed.I cancelled my subscription because of this issue

I have been with Clear Books for over 12 years and I have found the software really easy to use (I am not a book-keeper and accounts are not my thing!). It's usually pretty easy to work things out yourself but if you do need guidance, customer service is excellent. They respond in a timely manner and are always friendly and helpful and happy to provide support. I have no hesitation in recommending Clear Books for accounting.

Quick and easy to use and I always get a very fast reply to any queries I ask.

Hard to use but it’s easier than others that I’ve tried

Fantastic product, I have been running my business on this system for 15 years and it forms the backbone of all our work. As well as the invoicing, expenses, VAT etc, the payroll is great, and the latest Clearbooks Tax has been a tremendous asset for us as well for the end of year accounts. They always provide great support whenever needed.

Having never before used any accounting software, I initially found it difficult to understand what information was required under the each heading on the Record Income form. When I eventually sussed this out, it was easy to do. My other difficulty was that, having registered for MTD with HMRC I couldn't seem to find the place in Clearbooks to link them to my HMRC account. This was just because I'm not very tech savvy...it was there all the time on the Set Up page. Now that I've got over these hurdles, it is very straightforward and I got in my first submission even though it was a bit late! The next one will be a breeze!

It's generally very good but might be a little more explanatory for us amateurs. As an example, things such as autosuggestions don't really work that well.

I find I am going around in circles.

I emailed with a problem, which they sent an email with full instructions to follow. Didn’t have to wait long.

Very reliable and easy to use.

Although the support was via email and not via telephone it was really good and easy to understand.

What is great about Clear Books is the help they give with regard to any problem you have,
The best thing is you dont really have to know too much about accounting as they will guide you all the way.
We have been with them for years now and never had any issue's what so ever,so if your thinking of doing your own accounts go with them cant go wrong!!

Easy to use and saves me a ton of time. Customer service colleague (think his name was Martin) very useful and made things simple.

Too Expensive

Autobills is really not yet fit for purpose and needs improvement. With Dext integration removed we have no choice for some clients. Can you pay attention and improve this feature.

It is relatively simple to use. The customer help response is excellent. It's cheap! Sometimes, it is difficult to work out how to change mistakes.
