Great platform. Better than any other for purchasing a watch.

Straightforward process.

Delivered as promised; sellers are serious and professional

I have purchased several watches through Chrono24 in the past, and those transactions were completed successfully. However, after my most recent experience, I have decided not to buy from the platform again.

Anyone purchasing from a private seller should read Chrono24's policies very carefully. In my view, their buyer protection is far more limited than many people expect. If a problem occurs during shipping, the buyer may bear the loss while Chrono24 still collects its commission. The policies appear to protect the platform more than the customer.

In my case, the private seller told me the watch would be shipped with DHL, a well-established international courier. Instead, the seller used Bpost, a carrier with a poor reputation for international deliveries. The tracking remained inactive for 25 days before finally showing that the package had reached the destination country. It has now been 30 days since shipment, there have been no tracking updates for the last six days, and I still have not received my watch.

Although the entire transaction took place through Chrono24's platform, the company appears to shift responsibility to the buyer when shipping problems arise. They facilitate the sale, hold the payment, and collect their fees, yet they deny liability when something goes wrong.

If this matter is not resolved fairly, I intend to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau and other relevant consumer protection authorities. My concern is not only my own case but also whether other buyers have experienced similar situations. While customers wait for answers and their money remains tied up, Chrono24 continues to benefit financially from the transaction.

My advice to anyone considering a purchase from a private seller is simple: proceed with extreme caution, understand the limitations of Chrono24's buyer protection, and make sure the shipping arrangements are confirmed before completing the purchase.

Chrono24 was able to connect me with a seller in Japan. 🇯🇵 Yes, you have to pay tariffs upon import, Yes you pay retail for a brand new JDM Limited Edition hard to get timepiece. The experience was painless, their app and tracking of your parcel in conjunction with a top tier seller made this a very enjoyable experience.
