Don’t give them your card details!
I signed up for Bullguard years ago for one year. After cancelling they have continued to charge my credit card every year since, despite me contacting them several times telling them not to! Have just been charged £49.99 despite not using the product or having anything to do with them. Don’t bother giving yourself the hassle when there are plenty of other providers out there.
They have taken £49.99 from my account
They have taken £49.99 from my account. I dont even own a PC. They have picked up my credit card deals from years ago and started charging me for a product they dont deliver. Total scam!!
Disgraceful Behaviour
I have not used this product in years. The last time I purchased there product was 2019 and I made sure to set the setting to not allow them to take payments automatically. Now all of a sudden my account has been charged €49.99 for a product I didn't ask for and won't use.
I have tried to use the app but the app didn't work so I uninstalled it and went to Google play store to re install but the app is no longer there, I Googled bull guard log in but instead Norton came up top of the search and now I know Norton has bought the company but I wasn't contacted at any point to inform me.
I have an account with bull guard not with Norton so I can't get this sorted. I will be contacting my bank and asking if they can block any future attempts by cb Bullguard to take funds from my account that they should not be taking.
DONT use Norton or Bullguard as this practice is completely wrong and is taking advantage of people.
I will be more vigilant in future when buying online as apparently by the looks of the reviews I've been reading this is not a new practice taking funds from people without there permission. Absolutely disgraceful. Hopefully they cross someone with the ability to hold them to account for this behaviour.
No communication from BullGuard
I just happened to think that I couldn't see the Bullguard icon so started to investigate this morning. Apparently sold out to Norton but NO ONE from Bullguard had the courtesy to inform me despite being on a Three Year contract.
More appalling service bearing in mind these tech companies are really good at communicating when they want to sell you something!!!!
So much spam!!!…
My subscription is still showing as Bullguard.
However, since they have been bought out by Norton we are getting upwards of 50 spam per day.
It's mostly originating from America and often duplicated from different addresses. I am sick of it and believe my e mail address has been compromised.
Been using Bullguard for years always…
Been using Bullguard for years always found it great.
Was notified Norton had bought them out, my bullguard was automatically changed to Norton 360 today, 2 hours later i received spam e mail right into my inbox, first spam i have received in years, really unhappy
Awful customer service
Subscription taken from my bank account. Must have carried forward from years ago. I now have different email address so can't login. They won't help and cancel my subscription as I can't give proof. I sent a screenshot of deduction and this gives last 4 numbers of my card. They say they have different number but still won't cancel my subscription. Terrible to deal with
Really disappointed with Bullguard…
Really disappointed with Bullguard selling out to Norton. If I wanted Norton I would have gone with them long ago. Another sellout to corporate greed. Thanks for nothing, Bullguard
Absolute rubbish software
Absolute rubbish software. Resource hungry. Expensive and sneaky!
Do not get it! Windows can do it all for free
I have never heard of Bullguard…
I have never heard of Bullguard anti-virus, and this morning, I received notification that I have been charged for their services. I called their customer service agent, and when I told him this, he hung up on me. Looks like a scam to me.
My 92 year old father uses Bullguard on…
My 92 year old father uses Bullguard on his PC. He cannot get access to any useable Bullguard content since he changed his email address. I cannot express how much stress this has caused him. Every time I visit we try and get logged in to useable content with no success. They simply cannot provide any kind of useable help. Useless beyond belief.
Bullguard now owned by Norton!
I have been using Bullguard Premium Protection but when I got the renewal notice I wanted to change my payment details (diff card) and found it almost impossible to do so.
Looked on Trustpilot and saw a number of complaints from the last year so looked on the Internet for possible answers.
It seems Norton bought out Bullguard & Avira security products in December 2020, which I am afraid explains everything. Norton has a reputation for being BLOATWARE & almost impossible to deal with.
Armed with this information, I am now looking elsewhere for protection - quite likely to go to BitDefender.
Hope this helps others.

Not happy with how they treat a loyal…
Not happy with how they treat a loyal customer who's used their product for years, just had a popup telling me to renew for £50 for one year....just went on G2A website and got a code for 3 years premium BullGuard for £25....
But saying that the premium version offers nothing good but for that price i got it anyway, dont even get the VPN included in premium so what are people paying more money for premium for when all you get is some identify theft and network scanner?
I signed up to continue my cover for 2 years, not 4!!
I signed up to continue my cover, & paid £49 from my account, but shortly after I got an email from Bullguard that my cover was about to expire, & then another shortly after. Alarmed that I was about to lose my cover I looked into the procedure of agreeing to pay for & install it. The result was that Bullguard added a further 2 years of cover, & debited my account for a further £49. The warnings by email that my cover was expiring continue repeatedly almost every day. I reply to them for clarification that my cover is intact, to no avail. Their cover against virus etc, in the past has been ok, but this mess is nothing for them to be proud of. I am 87 & in failing health, & only intended to take 2 years cover; £49 is quite a chunk out of my pension, & I want a refund of the mistaken extra 2 years cover.
BullGuard is preinstalled bloat/malware
This bloat/malware came preinstalled on a brand new pc.
Whilst this is annoying and would usually just involve uninstalling it without ever running it, BullGuard itself acts like Malware.
The reason I say this is that even after uninstalling it - and choosing to fully remove - it leaves registry settings that interfere with chrome.
Specifically chrome says it is "Managed by your organization" and certain settings are locked out.
Ask yourself this - what kind of reputable company has to try to force its software on users, and can't even be uninstalled without it affecting the system?
Malware could be defined as any software intentionally designed to deprive users access to information - or which unknowingly interferes with the user's computer security and privacy.
Under this definition BullGuard *is* malware.
BullGuard...BullSh*t more like.
do not use bullguard premium protection…
do not use bullguard premium protection its a pile of crap, windows 11 media player it does not work at all on bull guard, game booster is greyed out and does not work either. They cant even be bothered to finish a product properly and get it to work. Ill never use them again at all. Theres far better products on the market than bullguard. Bull guard your just a laugh!
Up until now Fine, Now attempting early renewal
Up until now, after several years, all OK, now I have worrying behaviour from the app - I have multi device protection expiring in more than a year, I had an expiry request today on the pc. I logged onto my account on the browser and confirmed I am not expired. I click on the chat link on the pc alert and I get to a message: "This page doesn't exist. You may have mistyped the address or the page may have moved. Go back to the home page"
How can a chat/help link from their app not work, after 5 minutes of going back and forth on my account searching for a non-existent alternative to 'chat' the renewal alert has dissappeared. Is this a hack, a malfunction or a scam - very worrying from a company and app that is supposed to safeguard my security.
