I had a car breakdown in the Netherlands, and I honestly couldn't have asked for better support. As a German travelling abroad, being stranded with a technical problem could easily have been a very stressful and complicated experience. Instead, Frank (3221) from ANWB made everything incredibly easy and reassuring.
He was not only extremely friendly and professional, but he really went above and beyond to help me. He took the time to identify the problem, helped me understand what was wrong, and even guided me on where to get the necessary material. With his help, I was able to get everything fixed and continue my journey.
I would also like to thank Victoria from the office, who was equally kind, helpful and uncomplicated. The communication and support from both of them made such a difference.
It is rare to experience this level of genuine helpfulness and kindness. I am incredibly grateful and want to give a special thank you to Frank and Victoria. ANWB should be very proud to have people like you on their team!

Excellent service and support by ANWB as always. Reported an issue digitally. immediately got a call to confirm and understand the issue of the car and then a car was dispatched to help me. which offcourse resolved the issue and fixed my car.

I had break down and I called the road assistance on sunday night they came quickly and solved the issue and I drove back home safely

This is not the first time I have requested an assistance at ANWB... they are very quick, safe and efficient in solving the breakdown.

The guidance they give is also spot on and repairs carried on for a new battery was just perfect, friendly and professional.

Anwb....really, if you are not a mechanic yourself, you really need to become a member!

I received excellent roadside assistance. My engine broke down. I tracked the status online, received all the status updates online and by SMS, and a representative called me in advance to let me know they would arrive in 10 minutes. I also called the helpline to clarify a few things, and they gave me some really good advice.
On top of that, the repair was done well, and I only paid for the part itself. It was very quick and efficient.

They are so fast and professional.

The problem solved quickly with clear explanation

On the 9th of April we got som problems with our Mercedes Vito, just outside Haag, ANWB sendt Dave Roos out to help us, he searced for a long time and tried to fix our van, unfortinaly one ot te sensors on the engine were broken, He hepled us to their garage, whos change the sensor for us an 12 o`clock the day after we where back on the road again, a very positive service from a proffesional company and staff, I will highly recomand this company.

I have got a few problems with my car (flat tire, generator malfunction, battery low), some took place in NL, some in other EU countries. ANWB solved my problem quickly every time. Technicians are also friendly and easy to communicate. Most of them speak fine English.

Overall, I am quite happy about ANWB service.

I have been using the ANWB Wegenwacht Europa Plus plan for almost five years and have successfully used it several times both within the EU and outside of it. However, this time my experience was completely horrible.

I was in Belarus, which is included in this plan, when my car slid into a ditch during a heavy snowstorm. I called the Dutch ANWB number several times, but the line was either disconnected or I was redirected to non-working departments. Eventually, a specialist told me that I could only use my insurance company’s assistance and that ANWB road assistance does not help with this kind of situation.

I clearly explained several times that I was traveling with my family, including a child under 12 years old, that I could not get the car out of the ditch myself without professional help, and that I had already been waiting on the line for about 40 minutes. Despite this, they refused to help.

After the final redirection to my insurance company’s hotline, they also refused to assist, explaining that Belarus is under sanctions and the Green Card insurance does not work there.

As a result, I had to organize assistance myself and pay out of pocket. I found help within 20 minutes for 30 EUR, but only after wasting significantly more money on roaming calls and spending around 40 minutes repeatedly answering the same questions to different people.

A few years ago, when I was traveling with my electric car and a charging station did not work, another ANWB specialist successfully arranged a tow truck to move my car to the nearest working station. Therefore, I do not understand why this situation was handled so differently, why ANWB refused to help me, and why I was left in a ditch with my family and a child during severe cold and a heavy snowstorm.
