This has been a great experience. I haven't looked for a job in over 25 years. This was the kick in the pants I needed. I enjoyed working with James and Armand. Both were efficient and responsive, as... See more

They critique your resume and then provide you any number of absolute trash "optimized" drafts. Bad formatting, duplicate content, bad rewriting. To use any of their modifications, I had to completely strip the formatting and start fresh. Your resume reviewer will be presented as a human being. It is definitely not.
It's *almost* a scam, but they do at least provide something.
Please save your money. This company is a joke. The first resume writer wrote a resume that was worse than any thing I had ever attempted. He included in the highlights how great I was at practicing jurisprudence or some such nonsense instead of saying I'm an attorney. The second writer was fantastic and I would give him five stars. But that's where it ended. After you pay your money for their writing services, they put you in something called carreer.io that's supposed to help you find a job. The catch--you have to pay ~$25.00 a month to keep it going. Then they say they will auto apply to jobs for you. So, I found one I wanted to apply for. But the resume they pulled was titled with my name and the words "6th Revision." I'm sure a hiring manager wouldn't be impressed with a title like that. But, how are we supposed to change it. That is an absolute mystery because there is no easy way to change it. I called TopResume and they told me I had to email autoreply. So, I did that. Three separate times with zero response. This company is a joke. I would never recommend their services to anyone. Don't waste your money even on the lowest service they offer.
They just got my money and write a regular resume and never answer me again!!!
They promised a lot but I they really bad,
Paid over $300 :-(
My first resume write came back with so many AI marks. They argued with me for 10 minutes until they allowed me to send them the document. After looking at it, the guy said to me "well, we will rewrite it". Mind you I had one rewrite with my package I paid for. I bought the package that workds with Careerminds for job search help. The portal was a joke, even the career consultant admitted "you won't find a job on this site, you will have to network"

⭐ 1/5 — Very Disappointing Experience
I would not recommend TopResume based on my experience. I paid for a professional résumé service, but my résumé was never properly completed. I also noticed spelling and word choices that were not appropriate for a U.S. résumé and had to identify these issues myself. The writers are Indians residing in India. The Indians are used to the British way of writing.
To make matters worse, I was charged an additional $25 for a subscription that I did not expect. After paying for a professional service, I expected much better attention to detail, communication, and a completed résumé.
This experience was frustrating and disappointing. I would advise anyone considering this service to carefully review all charges and subscription terms before providing payment information.

TopResume sold me a professional job search packet that costs over $2,300. None of the commitments were kept by them. Their resume writer never reviewed my resume - just wanted me to complete 3-5 star stories so they could write my resume. The coach assigned to me knew nothing about me even after I spent hours completing a questionnaire. Their site does not scan the internet for new job opportunities that fit your profile. When - after 7 weeks of complaining - they finally assigned me a new coach, I mentioned that I found a job but that I would like to get some career coaching - they immediately said my contract was complete. They did NOTHING to help me land my job. Nothing. And they are keeping my $2300. Absolute scam.

In less than 7 days TopResume turned my resume from a 10 year old relic to an up-to-date masterpiece. My contact was thorough in their approach, and answered all of my questions.

I would give this service -5 (minus five!) stars if I could.
This company completely misrepresents itself as a career counseling service for highly educated professionals. In reality, it is an incredibly unqualified service that wastes your time and takes your money.
I paid $229 for a resume rewrite. The draft they sent back was not even close to a professional resume; it looked like a poorly written, overly wordy LinkedIn profile. Using it would actively damage my professional reputation.
When I requested a full refund, customer service refused, stating I was entitled to three rounds of revisions. However, the writer lacked basic resume-writing skills and had zero knowledge of my industry. No number of revisions could fix a draft this fundamentally flawed.
I had also paid an additional $190 for interview coaching. Their intake questionnaire indicated a coach matched to my specific profession would be assigned. When I called to confirm, customer service admitted that the coaching is a generic, one-size-fits-all program based only on standard interview types (like "elevator pitches" vs "structured interviews"), adding basics are the same!
They target highly professional websites to advertise expertise they completely lack. When I pushed back, they claimed the worthless draft met their "internal standards," which tells you everything you need to know about their quality and standards!
They delivered absolutely nothing of value, refused to refund my money, and wasted my time.
Avoid them at all costs.

I received an executive-level job offer within six weeks of being laid off. Top Resume really knows what they are doing, and I highly recommend them!

Great communication from my resume writer, perfect execution on the point I was trying to convey, all around great job.

The coaching was exceptional and the updated documents were exactly what I was looking for.
Only negative would be the Auto-apply feature as it seems each time I select Auto-apply, i get a notice within a day that it failed and needs me to go in and manually update things which defeats the purpose.

I like that TopResume is very thorough and takes into consideration my goals and research of ideal roles prior to engaging in this work.

I purchased a resume rewrite. Working with the writer was great and the product the was produced is top notch. The thing that they need to improve on is their communication. Whenever the writer was communicating with me, I was never notified in which the only way I knew about it was if I checked the website.

My resume looks amazing! Jason really captured my experience in a way that I have not been able to do for myself. I am very thankful and I can't wait to see what opportunities come my way.

The turn around time on rewriting my, outdated formatted, resume was quicker than I expected. The resume now reads like I am the seasoned professional that I have been for the past 30 years. I would never have thought to rewrite my resume in this format.
The response time on any recommended updates from me to Oscar S was within a day or two. I love the format being presented to me in either a .docx or .pdf format. This makes it so much easier to upload and redefine for specific job descriptions.
I do not have any recommendations for doing things better. I think everything that was needed, by me was thought out very well. TopResume did an excellent job for the money.

Murph was wonderful. The website design was a bit clunky, but the customer service was great.
