Great super

The company has an easy to navigate platform that is user friendly. Students are polite. The problem is getting paid. I am BEGGING for my own payment which is money that I have earned. I find this very degrading! In my opinion there is a great deal of incompetence when it comes to getting paid. I am exhausted from having to write SO MANY EMAILS and all responses are generic and they do not tell me directly where my payment is. Who can work under these conditions? I have never experienced something like this before. I will continue to send them emails up to a point but I cannot teach again until I am paid.

I’m really happy with Tutlo! Having regular lessons keeps me motivated every week. We don't just follow the course materials, but we also have great casual conversations. My teacher Nina W. is awesome, very patient, and easy to talk to. It all helps me feel much more confident when speaking English. Highly recommend!

Tutlo’s follow‑up message after the payment was sent still avoids acknowledging the error I highlighted. They continue to blame external factors rather than addressing their own system issue, and their replies show they are not reading the actual content of my messages.

Tutlo’s payment failures now raise GDPR‑related concerns due to repeated internal mistakes and mishandling of financial data.

On 9 October, Tutlo claimed my payment had been sent. It was not. This is the sixth incident of delayed or failed payment, with responsibility repeatedly shifted onto freelancers or financial institutions.

When they first moved to Revolut, Tutlo sent me a password‑protected attachment that redirected me to a secure link where I entered my own payment details. The transfer arrived the next day. Despite this working flawlessly, they refuse to use the same secure method again.

Instead, they continue to handle sensitive financial information internally, yet staff are not trained to recognize the difference between routing numbers and BIC/SWIFT codes. I already completed their form specifying how my US payments must be deposited, including the routing number they must use.

These repeated errors raise concerns about how financial data is processed, stored, and handled, especially when mistakes are never acknowledged.

As of today, I have not received my payment, nor any confirmation of their mistake.

The combination of payment failures, mishandled financial information, and inconsistent processes suggests deeper issues with compliance and data handling that freelancers should be aware of.

Of all the methods I've tried to learn English, Tutlo has turned out to be the most effective by far.

I would also like to give special thanks to my tutor, Inna. She is truly the right person in the right place—an outstanding teacher with extensive experience, which is reflected in her teaching style and the way she explains even challenging topics. Her lessons are always engaging, well-structured, and motivating.

I highly recommend Tutlo to anyone looking to improve their English, and I especially recommend learning with Inna. I definitely plan to continue my English journey with Tutlo.

I have worked with Tutlo since 2018, and while I have always been dedicated to my students, the company’s treatment of tutors has declined to a concerning level. The most serious issue is their payout system, which has become unstable, inconsistent, and unclear.

My most recent payment was withheld despite providing complete and valid USD banking details twice. Tutlo did not respond to my inquiries for weeks. No guidance, no clarification, no instructions.

Only after I informed them that I was reporting their conduct to the authorities did they suddenly reply — not with a solution, but with a “kind request” asking me to personally test a new, unverified payout method they had not tested internally. They sent a password‑protected PDF with a link and provided no instructions on how to complete the process. I had to figure out the steps myself due to unclear wording.

This is not how a professional company should handle cross‑border payments.

Over the years, Tutlo has:
• changed payout requirements without informing tutors
• pressured tutors to adopt Revolut
• removed stable payout options without alternatives
• failed to support non‑IBAN USD accounts
• blamed tutors for “invalid details” caused by their own system limitations
• withheld payments due to their own technical issues
• ignored messages until legal escalation was mentioned

Tutors deserve clear communication, stable payout methods, and respect. My experience shows that Tutlo has significant issues in these areas that need to be addressed.

I'm very satisfied with my studies at Tutlo. The program is tailored to the skills and the learning is not only effective but also conducted in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

What I like about Tutlo ? Short, non-tiring lessons tailored to my needs and skills. A large selection of tutors from all over the world. Possibility to work independently, in groups, with tutor AI . Lesson times adapted to my calendar. I highly recommend Tutlo and my tutor Bartosz Cichosz:)

I can wholeheartedly recommend learning a language on Tutlo
In every lesson,I learn new words and expressions-not too many and not too few,just the right amount for me.The vocabulary is modern/connected to the internet,social media and technology/.
There is a wide range of topics, from environmental issues to art. Sometimes the topics may seem a bit unusual,but vocabulary always turns out to be useful in the end.
I really appreciate the flexibility-you can choose the day and time that suit you best.
My teacher is friendly, very attentive and always helpful.
I haven't worked with AI on this platform yet,but I believe it could be a very useful tool

I am a tutor on Tutlo. They are a good reliable company. Customer service is very helpful if any issues arise. One thing which is very important is that if you mark yourself as available, you have to close all other tabs otherwise even though you as the tutor are showing available , potential students might see you as being busy. So you must mark yourself as available and also close all other tabs on your computer and have only the tutlo tab open. This is a good company.
