Extremely disappointing Sigenergy…
Extremely disappointing Sigenergy system reliability and support
I want to be clear from the outset that my installer has been extremely helpful and has continued trying to get this resolved. My frustration is not with them. My concern is with Sigenergy, the reliability of the system, and the lack of urgency in resolving the issue.
I chose a Sigenergy system because of the brand’s reputation. I could have purchased a FoxESS system for around half the price, but I paid approximately double because I believed Sigenergy would provide a premium product backed by reliable support.
Unfortunately, within the first four months of owning the system, I have already experienced a significant problem. The system’s internal Wi-Fi scanner is not detecting any available networks, even though Wi-Fi is working normally throughout the property. The system has now been offline for around a month.
This is not a minor inconvenience. Before this issue, my energy setup meant I was not paying for electricity on a daily basis. Since the system went offline and I have been unable to use and manage it as intended with my energy plan, I have been paying for electricity each day while waiting for the problem to be resolved.
What has made this worse is the lack of clear support. I initially spent more than an hour on the phone with Sigenergy support. After that, I had to keep following up mainly by email every 3-4 days because there was no meaningful response or clear pathway forward. At the end of approximately two weeks, Sigenergy told me to contact my installer, leaving me wondering why this was not explained at the beginning. That initial delay wasted valuable time.
My installer has since been trying hard to get this resolved with Sigenergy, and I appreciate their efforts. I have asked whether someone can attend and inspect the system, but I have been told this is not necessary. Despite this, no effective remote resolution has occurred, and the system remains offline.
As a customer, I have tried to be patient, reasonable, and cooperative. I understand that technical problems can happen. What I do not understand is being left offline for weeks without a clear resolution, practical action, or an appropriate sense of urgency from a company selling a premium-priced system.
For a system that cost around double some alternatives, this has been incredibly disappointing. I chose Sigenergy because I trusted the brand’s reputation. At this stage, I feel badly let down and honestly wish I had purchased the FoxESS system instead.
A premium product should be reliable, and when something goes wrong, the support should be clear, timely, and accountable. So far, that has not been my experience. At the time of writing, the issue remains unresolved, with no clear path to a resolution.
**Update 22 July:** Responding to Sigenergy’s reply, the phone number provided is the same number I contacted around five weeks ago, when I spent over an hour on the phone with support. I also have a ticket number, which I have provided privately through Trustpilot.
After approximately two weeks of follow-up, the final response I received was to contact my installer. My installer is now trying to work with Sigenergy to negotiate how this issue can actually be fixed.
At the time of this update, the system remains offline and the issue is still unresolved.

Dont have expectations
I had an issue with my battery and gateway, presumable the AC connection but unsure. After about 4hrs I was contacted by a technician who sounded like he couldnt be bothered with me and
made me feel like a bit of a dill. After so long tells me that he couldnt fix it over the phone....thanks Einstein. I submitted a suitable review only for him to call me 1 hr later to see If I would change my mind. Hmmm NO.
Another fella just rang today and put me on hold to diagnose only to tell me the same thing and that I need to raise a ticket via the Sigenergy App. No mate...you have diagnosed the issue thus you should be doing it on my behalf. He agreed and now I wait. For how long... who knows. Not impressed.
After spending so much money I am disappointed at the lack of attention and service. I even reverted back to the provider Sunrise Innovations who gave me nothing.

avoid in the uk
avoid in the uk, complete lack of customer service support. waiting for the recalled inverter being replaced since March, "customer service" keeps bulls**tting on "coordinating the delivery", " manager will call you back today", "will take another two working days" complete joke

AVOID - No meaningful support available
It will go wrong and the support structure is terrible. Mine worked for 3 month and cost me £15k. Finding it very difficult to get any support. The system is always going to be 100% dependant on the supplier. If their software goes down, you’ll be left with an expensive paper weight. I’ve been told that my system has failed due to a likely central Sigenergy issue.
To further add, I contacted the number you have provided but they couldn’t help.
Update 28th June
I raised a ticket and got no response, not even an acknowledgement. I’ve been without a functioning system for 2 days and currently have no idea as to how to go about getting it fixed.
Update - 29th June
System is now showing that it is drawing down 10-12kw from the grid as well as discharging my batteries. This looks dangerous!! Huge amounts of electricity disappearing , something bad is clearly happening.

Great battery and app!
We had our system installed earlier this year, and have so far saved not only on the monthly DD to our energy supplier, but also the income generated from selling the excess. The system has worked very well, and find the app easy to use and follow. The AI feature manages our needs and exports very well.
Am considering extending the battery as with the smallest capacity (5.38kw), would rather have a bit more to call on over the winter months, can always sell back what isn't needed!! Also, considering a/c, so the extra capacity battery will help with that, plus can then use for heating in the winter, reducing the use of gas further!

Ridiculously slow doing there recalls
Ridiculously slow doing there recalls. You pay for a product that works at half capacity. Would not recommend buying sigen products as their service is absolutely appalling.

Non existent uncaring support for two pensioners
Incredibly poor customer service I’ve been trying to get advice on their £1300 upgrade to our 10k sig energy system that keeps tripping its fuse box. It’s been two weeks now. 2 emails copied in to sales and support. Not even an acknowledgment- have tried contacting them via the app - no joy. My supplier has raised a support also and hasn’t hear. Is there in fact any support in fact or are they just rude and inefficient. Our EV charger has gone wrong within two months of owning it and they don’t seem to care..,disgraceful for a premium product.

Good system, badly let down by warranty delay
Disappointing warranty response after an initial good experience
We installed a Sigenergy system with a 10kW inverter and 48kWh battery storage. Initially, we were very impressed with the system. When working, it performed well and gave us confidence in the product.
Unfortunately, that positive experience has now been badly undermined.
On 9 April 2026, Sigenergy emailed regarding the replacement of inverters and stated that our inverter required replacement under warranty with a new unit.
Our inverter then failed on 17 May 2026. Since then, our battery system and solar panels have been offline while we wait for the replacement.
Thankfully, we are not fully off-grid. If we were, the position would be much more serious. As it is, the Sigenergy system is unusable at precisely the time of year when solar generation should be at its most valuable.
The most disappointing part is that we were genuinely impressed by the system before the failure. It is a shame that what appears to be a good product has been let down by the warranty replacement process and delay in getting us operational again.
I would be happy to update this review if the replacement is supplied and the system is restored promptly, but at present the aftercare has not matched the quality of the product.
UPDATE - 7 JULY 2026 - SEE MY EMAIL BELOW
Dear [Sigenergy],
Thank you for your email and for taking ownership of the issue. I am grateful that the replacement process has now been resolved, and I appreciate your personal involvement in bringing the matter to a practical conclusion.
That said, I must also express my severe disappointment that it required a formal letter before action, and the threat of legal proceedings, before the matter was properly escalated and resolved. The system had been offline since 17 May 2026, and from my perspective there appeared to be a complete breakdown in communication between the installer, the distributor and Sigenergy.
I do not now think this was a case of anyone deliberately trying to avoid responsibility. Rather, it appears to have been a failure of communication systems, ownership and escalation. That is concerning in itself. In this day of AI agents, automated workflows and modern service-management tools, a customer with an offline energy system should not have to threaten legal action simply to get the parties talking to each other and arranging a replacement unit.
I would therefore ask Sigenergy to treat this as a lessons-learned issue internally. The product may be technically impressive, but the support process has to be equally robust when something goes wrong.
Thank you again for your personal assistance. Once you became involved, the matter moved in the right direction, and I am grateful for that.
Kind regards,
DJP

Sinking Trustpilot reviews tell a true story!
We were misled by our installer when they claimed that Sigenergy was better than Tesla!
Since our installation we have had nothing but issues with our inverter. And now we learn that there is a fire risk due to melted plugs across the UK!
PLEASE do not trust that all will be well. We did and are paying a heavy price with a dead system and no responses from the company. Go with brands that have long standing reputations (I should have listened to my gut & gone with Tesla)

Dragging heels on a warranty upgrade( code for recall) last night almost burnt down garage
Zero stars if I could. We had a 10kw inverter including batteries and a dc charger fitted 2 months ago. 3 weeks ago we had an email from SIG about a warranty upgrade…. READ BETWEEN THE LINES A DEFECTIVE INVERTER! Please see below. Our installer, who have been excellent, jumped on this immediately and have been pursuing them for the last 3 weeks with phone calls and emails to get a replacement sent out to be fitted but have been in essence ignored by SIG ENERGY DESPITE SENDING OUT THE RECALL NOTICE. They even acknowledged the receipt but were awaiting authorisation… FOR WHAT THEY HAVE ALREADY ADMITTED THEY NEED TO CHANGE IT!
WELL LAST NIGHT MY INVERTER WENT POP (AS PER THE RECALL, ooops SORRY SIG A WARRANTY UPGRADE!! THE AC
PLUGS MELTED
DURING CHARGING thankfully didn’t burn down my garage! If SIG HAD GOT ON THIS IMMEDIATELY, this would have prevented this, instead I had to liase with 2 companies, the solar installer and heat pump installer as the GATEWAY also was unable to reset the smart port and am now back on GRID supply with no end in sight.
DO NOT INSTALL SIG THIS IS NOT A PREMIUM PRODUCT, although they are positioning themselves as such. THIS IS CHEAP AND NASTY. Looks good but cheap components inside. Go for a well established brand WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND AFTERSALES SUPPORT.
7th of May we received this from SIG

Catastrophic inverter battery fail. No replacement
As with Mr Stewart (below) we had a Sigenergy system (inverter and three batteries) fitted 6 months ago. After a catastrophic failure (sparks from the trip switch and melting of the outside connector) we have lost all solar generation and low cost battery charging. Our supplier requested a replacement from Sigenergy. They have failed to do this and give no indication of when one will be delivered.
Why is Sigenergy not supplying a replacement now?

I had a 10kw single phase inverter and 6 battery stack fitted on 4/9/25, on the 13/11/25 was send the message to my phone app about the recall and replacement and how they have reduced the system to 8kw and would be replaced ASAP, now 9/4/26 and hundreds of phone calls to the installer, his suppler and Sigenergy and still HAVE NOT had the inverter replace. Harry from Sigenergy has even told me the new green dot inverter (whatever that means) is at the suppler, but when my installer went to pick it up they knew nothing. Today i lodged a complaint with department of fair trading and have asked my installer to remove the entire system from my home as i am feed up with Sigenergy lies and me not sleeping as i worry, is tonight the night my home burns to the ground

Have had batteries installed about 3…
Have had batteries installed about 3 weeks ago and the app to monitor system only works for a few minutes each day. Had the installer come back and he worked on it as well as a phone call to synenergy for 2 and a half hours and got no where. My internet is good only live a few kilometres from Adelaide CBD and I am still without access to app.

avoid, service is a disaster
After two weeks, the device stopped working. I reported the malfunction in the app. A week later, I received a response that the problem had been resolved, but the device was still broken. The electrician has yet to show up. I'm wasting my money because both the device and the battery are dead.

Best value for money system 25 kw DC EV charging
We moved to the South coast of Sydney got several quotes for solar and battery. The best value for money was provided by Locky from Coastal Sparky. He installed the Sigen stackable batteries with a 25kw DC car charger in our garage . We charge our EV in less than an hour for most trips. Our solar works a treat and Amber electricity has us in credit after only 2 months. Getting the right installer and right system is the key. Other quotes didn’t even explain DC charging which needs battery near the car.
Great app great product great install
Had sigenergy 5kw inverter and 10.0 sigenergy battery installed a week ago and in a very wet week in February so far it's produced solar that has helped save half my costs and worked perfectly and the app is great no problems what si ever

The products are unsafe and faulty
The products are unsafe and faulty. Didnt turn on after install. Had to wait for various weeks to recieve a replacement, which caught fire within 4 days of install. Been 2 weeks, no service or communication.
Abysmal service
My Sigenery battery has been standing idle for 15 week following being installed and immediately being hit with a recall notice for overheating component. No comms from them, except after when I contact them. Their Service is abysmal!
