This SelfDecode experience has been so thought provoking. I love it. The web format is inviting. I go in every couple days and browse at all my results and information. One of my better purchases.

I wish the disease reports weren't an extra fee. I do really love all the features I have access to. Been using since 2022 I believe.

The personalized insights are invaluable. Besides the test itself generating useful information, when you upload bloodwork history, medical history and past medical problems, it cross-checks your genetic build to give you truly bespoke advice. I haven’t seen any other program be able to do that.

Better than completely relying on traditional medical practices.

I really appreciated Self Decode offering to help me navigate their website to get the most out of it. I knew I wasn't utilizing it to its full capacity. In particular, learning how to use AI for better analysis, but also loading LAB results and making best use of the recommendations. Both Cassie (a few weeks ago) and Sarah were exceptional in identifying the areas I needed to focus on. When the interviews were finished, each provided a very comprehensive email detailing what we discussed so that I could go back and review and act on the relevant issues. Thank you, this is really great support.

The website is terrible. It appears that the company only wants consumers to sign up for the expensive packages. It's been impossible for me to simply upload my data and subscribe to Healthy Insights. I can't find anywhere to do it. Can't make it happen, and AI chat is useless. I keep getting directed by AI to a page that simply redirects me to the free report page. Nor can I find anything on the home webpage about Healthy Insights. I really feel that Self Decode doesn't want you to be able to just sign up for a membership anymore as the bundles are more lucrative. I'm not wasting anymore time on this website.

Easy and painless, but not worth 200+ dollars for a the report. It claimed I would get personalized recommendations, and the advice I was given for my body type was “Aerobic exercise” and “Cinnamon”. Some of the supplements included had “insufficient evidence” supporting them. I am no closer to understanding myself than I was before I wasted 200 bucks.

It's about time I update my SelfDecode review. No matter how many times I talk about SelfDecode, I don't feel as if I'm reaching people. I get all kinds of glowing remarks about how good I look and as soon as I explain how, I get that deer in the headlights look. So, I'm going to try again. Why do people focus on improving the outside of their bodies, while totally forgetting the inside of their bodies? They'll wipe down their expensive Swiss watch but they have no idea how all those little gears, movements and balance wheels work. Well, we can't just ditch our old watch and buy another one. We have no choice but to keep the one we have running in peak form. This is what SelfDecode does. It keeps me running in peak form. As Bing Crosby sang, "You've got to accentuate the positive. Eliminate the negative. Latch on to the affirmative. Don't mess with Mr. In-Between."

My one on one meeting with Lusine today was very very good. She explained how to go through the different reports, add a separate ChatGTP, etc. so that that service would give me summary. I am canceling SelfDeCode today in advance of the autorenewal in Nov 2026 because the layout of the website and information is too complicated for me to digest and I didn't know when I ordered it that it would be so difficult to move around the website. It was a big expense for me and though the results are incredible, I thought SelfDecode gave me one year of one on one help.

What's great about self-decode, is the thing that's most important to me. Self-Decode doesn't sell your data to any other companies. Your data, is your data. Personally, I don't want my genetic data being sold to the highest bidder, or indeed any bidder. Thank you, Self-Decode for understanding this is the most personal data we have, and for respecting it.

It's great to be able to get more personalized and direct information to make better health choices. I had chronic illness and after using my DNA to create a personalized natural supplementation program my blood results improved drastically and so did my health. I wish I knew about this sooner but glad I know now. I recently did test for my husband and daughters so we can see what improvements can be made with regards to their health as well.

I worked specifically with Carlos, who assisted me with the renewal of my plan during a difficult financial period for my family. Just like my previous experiences, the response was immediate and handled with an incredible amount of professionalism and empathy.

Carlos went above and beyond to ensure the renewal process was smooth and tailored to our current situation. It is rare to find a company that doesn’t just provide a great product, but also treats its members with such genuine compassion and care. If you value a company that stands by its customers when it matters most, I cannot recommend SelfDecode highly enough. They have a wonderful product and their support team exceptional.

About five years ago, after subscribing year after year, I decided to take advantage of a promotional life membership subscription. I also updated my genetic file by purchasing their DNA kit. Soon thereafter, Self Decode radically changed their website, dividing what was a single service into split services with some pay up front upgrades. At first these added pay features were a minor annoyance, but over the years the website has devolved into a bunch of a la carte purchases, so much so, that the original life membership site is hardly recognizable. Usually when one upgrades to a life membership, one expects to receive at least the same level of services, and if improvements occur, then those are usually included as well. There is a tacit understanding that If I am going to pay you in advance, then anything on the website in the future should be included. If you keep putting your website behind an ever-growing number of pay walls, then the original advantage of a life membership becomes meaningless; and off course, one cannot get their money back. If there was some fine print that I missed when I signed up, then my bad, However, when I was reupping every year, there was no extra cost for new information or site changes, these were included with the subscription.

Much of what you get now are reports that seem specific to you and your genetics, but most of it is boiler plate text that often becomes so general that it often conflicts with information in other reports. Take this much of this in one report, then don't take any of the same stuff in another report (you get the meaning). The reports on occasion stray from science in some recommendations, suggesting generic practices such as meditation, yoga, and other forms of general improvement to address real genetic polymorphisms. As any number of writers produce these reports, with many opinions not in agreement with other reports; to some degree it seems their free-lancing products are not affiliated with each other or to a company with prescriptive policies. Many report sections seem like opinions rather than scientific facts.

Overall, I believe Self Hack, then Self Decode, was originally a good idea of a company that has morphed into a sketchy business that treats its customers rather poorly. The goal, not to share and learn together, but use customers as a cash cow. Maybe the company has had some growing pains and problems and perhaps needs some kind of restructuring. It's indeed sorrowful to say that Self Decode appears to have become a self-serving business. Now I visit the site less and less, there just isn't much to do there but look at advertisements.

I hope the company takes this as useful criticism. One place I suggest they start, is to solicit their membership as to how they can improve. For all the years I've been affiliated, I can't recall one instance of customer feedback or a "how are we doing" email. Communicating better with subscribers is a good first step in understanding what they expect, and delivering a great service that both parties can feel good about. Good luck.
