The worst network and bullshit mobile network. Doesn’t work. I feel I am in west africa in Switzerland

Honestly, don’t fall for the marketing ploy they have the slowest data and internet speeds in Switzerland. They barely have coverage in most areas in Switzerland even dense urban areas.
I’ve been in the army and have been in various areas in Switzerland. My comrades with different mobile carriers in EVERY situation had better data, meanwhile I was struggling to even load a Google page. Should’ve seen this platform to understand how scammy this company can be. DONT advertise fastest internet speed if you can’t back it.

They just gave me a penalty for nothing. They made a stupid payment system and counted my payment for the next month (from their hot-line explanation). It was paid with their my.salt portal and you just sending an ammount, you can`t choose the month. It`s fraud!
P.S. For the Salt answer: no any SMS was received about the payments, I described your hotline explanation of situation - he said I paid for next months and I have penalty for previous month, also I should be thankful that I have penalty for June only in August, while already paid for July and August. And sure I can have a discount and penalties will be deleted if I will sign new contract! Fraud!

I have been a customer with Salt for many many years. My newest subscription is for 2 years this will be the LAST.
My previous subscription there an iPad mini included it never arrived. 2 years ago still waiting.
My newest subscription include an iPhone 17 the subscription was made on the 5th of October 2025 today the 24th of October 25 I decided to call the so called customer support.
Got in contact with someone who sounded like they just woke up, and was informed that the phone has a delay for 3-4 weeks……Had this been mentioned before I made the subscription. My patience would have been accordingly.
I think the customer service is an absolute disgrace and SALT brand them selves as the best internet provider in Switzerland. Who ever woted this must be deluded.
Shame on you SALT.
As already mentioned this will be my last ever subscription with this company.

Complete scam. Even though I stopped with the contract process, they somehow made a contract without my consent and started sending me invoices.
Their customer service says totally wrong stuff and wastes your time. NEVER USE THIS SERVICE.
Your contract division should be well aware of the practice to making a contract without proper ID verification completed.

I was really happy wit Salt however they put me in a bundle called Europe XXL and all of a sudden I lost most of the coutries from a previous subscription. It is almost impossible to get the whole Europe and it is really frustrating. Then you travel abroad and you get immediately a charge of 10chf for roaming. I cannot understand how good it was before to absolute crap service they offer right now.

They took over my Internet connection at the Central from a different provider without telling me or the provider. After a week it's still not disconnected and I am still waiting without Internet. Even without being a customer with salt they find ways to mess it up.

I am with Salt since I moved to Switzerland, more than 3 years ago. I activate a new mobile number and, for the record, the mobile network does not really suck, as many people on the internet are complaining about. I never actually had a small problem with the mobile network coverage or outage of any kind. After one year, I activated the Salt Home (10Gbit/s FTTH). Never had an issue as well. If you have the correct equipment at home you can faster speed, rather than 1Gbps that most providers can offer. Honestly, on the service, nothing bad to say, well done!
I would suggest to improve on the selling price: on the market there are a few other ISP that can offer the same service at a cheaper price, like 39-./month or so.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY. They refuse to cancel it. You cannot email them nor phone them to cancel, they ignore you and keep sending invoices. Sometimes their phone number does not work.
Edit: As I was no longer using the SIM sending me messages via SMS means I won't receive them. I left Europe. I told you that. I have not received any phone calls from you either, the SIM is not in my phone so how could I? Your response includes things that cannot be true.

I subscribed to Salt with a new device that I was told that it will arrive within one week. It’s now been almost four weeks, and I haven’t received any update whatsoever. No one seems to care.
I called customer support and got connected to an agent in India who had no idea what was going on and couldn’t give me any real help — just told me that delivery could take up to six weeks! That’s ridiculous and completely different from what was promised.
I also tried reaching out via chat, but they were just as careless. They are simply hard to reach and even when you reach them, you’ll be connected to an agent somewhere on the other side of the globe, which they don’t have a clue about your situation and can’t really help you.
Very disappointed with Salt’s service and communication. Definitely not recommending them to anyone.

I have been with Salt since I had my first mobile phone, so almost 20 years. Moving to a different country I got told that I could terminate my contract anytime they receive the confirmation that I have moved abroad. Now they want to charge 199CHF admin costs. Not even insurances do that. Retarded.

I have been with Salt who use to be Orange for about 20 years and I can say Salt is very good. When my Abo is nearly ending I receives some kind of offer to renew i can’t complain. I would recommend it them any day.

After many years with this company i can assure you that this is the worst mobile provider in CH. They will always try to find a way to overcharge you for whatever reason… payment method so more complicated than before…
I would definitely cancel all my subscription… only salt home is the best… mobile contract the worst…

Absolute garbage service. Salt has mastered the art of trapping you in a contract and making it a Herculean task to escape. I signed up for a simple ABo package for my daughter's smartwatch, a seemingly straightforward 14.99/month "Start Max" plan. What I got was a two-year sentence.
The overcharging for such a basic service is bad enough, but it's the cancellation process that is truly scandalous. I was not even allowed to schedule a cancellation until a mere three months before the contract's expiry. This is a transparent tactic to make you forget or miss the window.
When I finally did call to cancel, it was a test of my patience. The line dropped not once, but twice, forcing me to start over with a new agent each time. After being put on hold, transferred, and interrogated, it took me a staggering 40 minutes just to cancel a single, small contract. Forty minutes of my life wasted just to get out of their clutches.
Salt's business model seems to be built on frustration and obfuscation. They make everything easy on the way in and impossibly difficult on the way out. Avoid them at all costs unless you enjoy being held hostage by your mobile provider. This experience has been beyond infuriating.

SALT gets everyone stuck with the 24 months contracts and do not even have the best Packages and services.
Have been a client but totally regret now. To terminate the contract they require full payment... that is so crazy nowadays.
Look for SWYPE or DIGITAL REPUBLIC.
Thank me later.

Please do not use this service.
I terminated my contract on 24 January 2025, effective 25 August 2025, because Salt is simply more expensive than other providers.
During this time, I was called 5 times by Salt salespeople, despite explicitly requesting not to be contacted again.
Now, on 3 September 2025, I discover that Salt never cancelled my contract – instead, they just removed my discount (???). The idea that I supposedly wanted to cancel only my discount but not the entire contract is a level of incompetence that leaves me in disbelief.
Do yourself a favor and do not fall into the Salt trap.

I would never recommend Salt, no matter how attractive their cheap deals may look. I had been with them for several years on a very basic, low-cost plan, and things seemed fine — as long as I was extremely careful that they wouldn’t “accidentally” upgrade me.
The nightmare started when I decided to change provider. I called to inform them, and was told (unfortunately, only by phone, so no written proof) that all I had to do was set up the switch with my new provider and keep paying until the end of my contract — three months, which I was fine with.
Instead, the day my contract ended, Salt automatically upgraded me to a much more expensive deal. When I reached out, they claimed they had “never received the information” from the new provider, so they just assumed I was staying with them, and “helpfully” upgraded me.
As if that wasn’t outrageous enough, once my new provider tried again to send the confirmation, Salt slapped me with a penalty for abrupt interruption of contract. In the end, their shady system forced me to pay for more than a year extra.
This is not a company you can trust. Their entire process is designed to profit from people leaving them, with unclear communication and manipulative practices. Do yourself a favor: avoid Salt at all costs, no matter how cheap they seem.
