Bizarre experience. For medical reasons that I don't care to discuss with strangers, my hair has been damaged.
Went to the Cambridge salon for my first hair cut since the damage, to enjoy some me time and recover from things that have been going on. I believe the lady cutting my hair was called Ellie or Lily.
Instead of concentrating on my hair cut, all I got from the lady was a non-stop interrogation/commentary as to how my hair was damaged, what products I use/don't use, how terrible my hair looks, that she wasn't even going to try to fix it, etc etc. I tried to steer the conversation into more cheerful topic but she relentlessly kept returning to my hair, it being damaged, and then even questioning the truthfulness of my answers to her relentless line of questioning. Why in the world would I lie about what shampoo I use?
She even brought another stylist into the conversation about how awful my hair looked and tried to get the other stylist to "prove me wrong" somehow about what products I use on my hair. This poor other stylist was busy with another customer and just sort of shrugged.
All in all it was an absolutely exhausting and very expensive 40 mins, being interrogated and questioned non stop over things that actually are nobody else's business. I just wanted my hair cut; I didn't expect miracles but nor did I expect to be put in the dock and being peppered with intrusive questions...

Recently came in with my partner for her to have her hair done as a treat. No problem with the service, everyone was lovely but the salon was unbearably hot. There was no aircon or any form of fan, with the heat of the hairdryer and straighteners it was borderline dangerous. I was there hours and really felt for the girls working there. There was no breaks for hours what I could see, no form of could water. It just really put me off going back how they were treated in the heat and how they are expected to work in those conditions. You come to rush and you do pay more than the average salon, I don't expect or anyone else to have to be in that heat. Really ruined the experience

Absolutely first rate service from Ellie at Dorking branch. Her professionalism, kindness and tactful guidance on how to restore my hair was amazing. She cut my hair with precision and skill and, with humour, defussed my concerns regarding my own poor judgement on the use of wrong products, abuse of heat wihout protecting products and my own home cuts etc. Ellie saved my hair and helped me with the kindness of a good friend. Highly recommended, I will follow the excellent advise and will be a regular customer. Thanks to Emma as well for her flexibily on moving appointment times and helping to find the best products for my new, healthier hair xx

I felt completely taken advantage of, they put my on the spot and asked me if I wanted an extra treatment and didn’t mention the price until I asked and they asked if I wanted a blow dry without telling me it would cost £45 which is outrageous. And they dyed my whole head and then put a light blonde balayage over it, I didn’t want my natural brown hair to be changed.

It was my first time at Rush West Hampstead as they had a Spring Sale on for colour services. Cecilia took her time to sit down, listen, make relevant suggestions and I'm very happy with the outcome of the balayage. They know what they are doing, it was a friendly atmosphere, haircut was also great and I felt in good hands.

I had a cut and blow dry with rush offer at York, and am sorry to say I felt like I had gone in on a training day , the girl who did my hair only spoke to say can you put your head down or up lovely , I wanted to take the scissors off her and do it myself I will not be going back. It wasn’t the experience I expected.

I made an appointment for today and the salon said it was not in their system. I should have known because despite being a regular I was asked to spell my name. Word fail me - I relied on Orazio for some years and can never go there again.

Although I have experienced great service and quality hairdressing in the past from both Lucy and Sebastian (both now left) at Rush Nottingham the way I was treated today was an absolute disgrace. An appointment was made for 9.30 with any stylist I arrived in plenty of time only to be asked if I could return at 11.00 because there was some mix up. The answer a resounding no. I have to travel around 40 minutes each way to Rush, and have very busy schedules. I do not like being messed around. Perhaps the reason that some of their best stylists are leaving is because of the deterioration of customer service. I will certainly not be returning or recommending them as I have in the past. Peoples time is too precious to be messed around and wasted in this way. Get a grip Rush otherwise you will be losing clients as well as good stylists!

I went in with a picture of what I wanted. I had been growing my hair and fringe so I could achieve this look for holiday. It was simple wispy bangs and soft face framing layers to open up my face as I have long straight hair. Chika was shown the picture. My hair is ruined now after she cut it. One side of layers are blocky and up to my cheekbone. The other side blends in and is down to my chin. My bangs are blocky and layered
I would never go back there just because of what she has done.

I can't Thank Chris and Erin from the Tonbridge Rush enough. My daughter and I both went in with lots of work to be done on our hair as we are going to a wedding. We left so happy and with the hair we both wanted. Both Chris and Erin are amazing hair stylists and very professional. Will definitely be going back.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent appointment at your salon in London.
Unfortunately, the haircut I received was very poorly done and does not match what I requested. My hair was cut unevenly and much shorter than expected, which has caused me a lot of frustration and embarrassment.
In addition, I was surprised by the high price I was charged considering the poor quality of the service provided.
I chose your salon because of its reputation, so I am very disappointed with this experience. I would appreciate a solution, such as a refund or a corrective appointment with a more experienced stylist.
I look forward to your response and hope this matter can be resolved professionally

Lack of price transparency!!!!
This was my first time going to Rush Salon. I booked in for a root touch-up (around an inch of regrowth) and went for a patch test beforehand, where I was told prices started at around £60.
However, on the day of my appointment, once I was already in the chair, I was suddenly told there would be an extra £70 surcharge for long hair. This was never mentioned when I booked or during the patch test consultation.
Had I’d had enough time to book elsewhere before my event, I would have walked out.
In the end, for a root touch-up, toner, and a simple straight blow-dry, the total came to £145!!!!! Very disappointing experience due to the complete lack of upfront pricing transparency.

Amy from rush Chiswick salon gave me a complete makeover today, she corrected my hair with the most amazing highlights. Amy is an amazing artist attentive to detail with the best personality. She is an ambassador to your salon, I came in with my daughter and she was so warm and welcoming, great work Amy from Rome

I normally go to Nik at Rush Brighton who is brilliant but decided to last minute go to Rush Dorking for a Keratin treatment.. they gave me no consultation and no advice and just did the treatment which turned my hair an awful shade of yellow.. I now need to get the treatment out of my hair and want a full refund.. so unprofessional to do this sort of treatment with no care or advice... I would never have had it done if I had known this could have been a possibility and Rush Dorking Manager was actually incredibly rude and unhelpful about it.. and could not guarantee what colour it would come out if they tried to rectify it with a toner.. such a badly run and unprofessional hair salon.. I spend thousands of pounds a year at Rush every year and hope that the head office management will sort this for me.
In reply to your reply I have emailed and reached out to you but no one has emailed me back.. ?

I booked an appointment for a balayage at the Rush Harrow branch and left very unhappy with the result and the experience. The balayage wasn’t blended, there’s no soft gradient, and instead there are quite harsh, uneven sections.
The biggest issue is that large parts at the back of my hair were left unbleached, so it feels unfinished.I did mention this during the appointment, but I felt my concerns were undermined. I was also disappointed with the bottom sections. I asked for there to be a gradient look, but was told it couldn’t be achieved because of my hair thickness. I don’t feel that’s a fair explanation, especially as I paid extra for my hair type. Particularly, some of the comments about my hair volume and thickness made me feel a bit uncomfortable, and really intimidating.
I came back a few days later, the main issue of the untreated sections at the back was dismissed. While the tone was adjusted, the overall result still isn’t even close what I asked for.
It’s frustrating because my hair has now been bleached and feels damaged, but the result is still incomplete.
It’s knocked my confidence, and I don’t really feel comfortable wearing my hair down. Family and friends have noticed the uneven sections as well. At this point, I felt it is important to provide this feedback as it’s clear the service at Harrow branch doesn’t uphold the credibility of Rush.
I’ll have to find a new salon who would be willing to rectify the job, this isn’t what I expected from Rush service and the price.
I have emailed Rush on 3 occasions however have not received any response back. I have also emailed the client care department, again, with no response. Therefore I had no other choice but to leave a review.

Left multiple complaints with the Rush Hair Salon in Southampton due to a bad service I received and haven’t received a response. Do not rely on them to support if you have a bad experience.

What I came out with was not what i asked for, but results are fine. However watch for the prices as I booked a service for 135 and ended up being charged 190 for the same service.

I booked a “permanent hair colour” service at Rush Beauty & Hairstyles in York, North Yorkshire and specifically chose a shade from the colour chart after being assured that my grey hair would be fully covered. Unfortunately, the results were very disappointing, especially considering I paid £66 for the service.
Even immediately after the appointment, a large amount of my grey hair was still visible, particularly underneath and around the hairline. I waited for about two weeks thinking maybe the colour would settle differently, but there was still no proper coverage and very little noticeable change to my hair overall. Parts of my under hair appeared completely untouched.
My natural hair is jet black, and if the stylist was unsure how to achieve the result or cover the grey properly, I would have appreciated honest advice before the treatment instead of being told it would work. The service itself also felt rushed, with very little communication or customer care throughout the appointment.
I feel misled by the description of the service and disappointed with the overall result and professionalism. Sadly, I would not return based on this experience.

I was traumatised by having an appalling hair colour experience at a Redhill salon that left me at 78 yrs old with bright purple hair instead of the required red. Maddie and the team were able to advise a course of action to tone down the vivid unwanted disaster.
Today Maddie was able to advise and carry out a new colour and trim that gave me back my Oomph and confidence. I left the salon walking on air. Thank you.
