Why is there no 0 option for a review here, 1 star is way too high of a review for this disgraceful excuse for a national tv station, tonight our greatest ever fighter Katie Taylor fought for the last time and was again outstanding, but Rte thought it was a good idea to spend 3 hours advertising Lidl and Aer Lingus instead of showing the undercard of Irish fighters which is what Katie stands for, I can only imagine the type of people working for rte
making this decision,... never played a sport in their lives most likely, outrageous disgrace

Unbelievable. When their flagship program "The traitors Ireland" is currently running, I did a search on the rte player with "The Traitors" and just "traitors" and "The amTraitors Ireland" and the result? Absolutely nothing. The app is a disgrace, it's easier to find a stream of an rte program on pirate sites!

App constantly crashes and is extremely unreliable. One day it work fine, next day under exact same conditions it does not. It's been like this for years! Embarrassing that this is our public payed broadcaster.

Today with David McCullough, RTE RADIO 1, weekdays 9am-11am.
It’s been a refreshing change for the last few weeks with the stand-in presenters Claire Brock and Sharon Tobin; both of these presenters are professional and capable unlike the incumbent, David, who sounds perpetually bored, half asleep, and uninterested in the job. Add to this audible breathing, sighing and shuffling of papers. How…HOW did David get the gig-it seems RTE have a “he/she’ll do” approach to appointing presenters rather than assessing their actual competence and ability. Someone on social media recently commented that he sounds like he’s “sleepwalking through the show”, which couldn’t be more apt.
David is too long in the tooth for media training, he just has to go but I suspect will remain in the RTE bubble on the exorbitantly overpaid contract for the foreseeable.

I wish I could leave much less than 1 star. It’s like rte have tried to make the worst app they could possibly make. Sites like these give Ireland such a bad name. Absolutely disgusting company. App doesn’t really function at all, there are regularly 4 simultaneous un-skippable ads and the connection is absolutely appalling. It’s like their servers are run by a computer from 1980. In summary just an absolutely disgustingly greedy, cheap, scummy company.

The updated app is complete rubbish. I have stopped using it.

What amount of money was paid for this absurdity.
How can we trust that folks in charge of RTE are tuned into reality that they would think this is acceptable!

This app is so indicative of the shambles that is RTE as a whole. Spending other peoples money on complete and utter rubbish. First year IT students could build a better website and application than the crooks in RTE no doubt spent huge amounts of money on.
RTE TV must be scaled down to the bare essentials. News, sport & weather. If the rest of their output is of such high quality they should be unafraid to move to a subscription service.

Crap... won't open at top of feed so have to physically scroll back to top each time. Also range of news is disappointing. Old version better!

Ruining the World Cup! Who wants to watch staccato football, stutter, stutter, freeze. Every other app I have can stream content, RTEeeejits gets the World Cup and can't even stream it. And that's it, they get away with it, absolute shambles.

Absolute rubbish. Can’t zoom in on images or text. I don’t know if all these changes they’ve made recently are attracting new listeners and readers but I do know for sure that they are losing plenty of them, myself included

Absolute rubbish, it's been ruined. No motoring or motor sport just for example. It's hard work trying to use it . They have gone backwards.
