The company made a small error on the height of a display box I ordered. When I mentioned it to them, they quickly made a new display case and sent it to me without any hesitation. The box is very good quality.

I collect historical documents and rare books, and I needed a proper display case for a 1688 leather-bound antiquarian book — something dust-tight, easy to open, and sized to the book itself. Off-the-shelf cases never quite fit, so I went the custom route with Pleximart. Five stars, and here's the detail for anyone considering a custom order.

The quoting process. I submitted their custom fabrication form with exact exterior dimensions (7.25" × 4.25" × 2", 1/8" acrylic), a note about what the case was for, and a specific request: a hinged lid rather than the usual pin-and-hole closure, and confirmation that the interior clearance would fit my book before they cut anything — custom pieces are non-returnable, so that mattered. Peter at Pleximart replied the next morning with a straight quote of $88.16. No upselling, no vagueness.

The price. When the invoice came, it was actually $78.70 — about $9 under the quote — plus $28.95 UPS Ground. From quote request to confirmed order took roughly 25 hours total, and every email got a prompt, direct answer, including production time (3–7 days quoted, which they honored).

The product. The case arrived exactly as specified. Fabrication is clean — edges finished nicely, the hinged lid operates smoothly, and the seal is dust-tight the way I asked. The book sits inside with comfortable clearance on every axis, which tells me they actually read the fit note instead of just cutting to the numbers. For a made-to-order piece at this price, the workmanship is excellent.

The bottom line. Custom acrylic work lives or dies on communication, and this is the part Pleximart gets right: they answered questions before I paid, quoted quickly and honestly, charged less than quoted, and delivered exactly what was described. My 337-year-old book now has a home worthy of it.

Simply astonishing. I am quite amazed by how good the service and the product is. Tolerances are tight in custom jobs but with nothing more than a pencil sketch and my hasty measurements, the results have always been precise. I have used Pleximart several times and it has never failed to impress.

I'm not going to lie, the price was pretty steep (especially including shipping...), but they got my an acrylic case that matched my dimensions -exactly-.
