A huge loss for independent artists
I'm genuinely disappointed to see PlaylistHub closing because it was the only music promotion platform that actually helped me see real progress as an independent artist.
I've tried several other services over the years and spent money without seeing much return, but PlaylistHub was different. It connected my music with real curators, and I was able to get approved for playlist placements that helped my songs reach new listeners.
Nothing in music promotion is guaranteed, but PlaylistHub gave me opportunities and results that I simply didn't find elsewhere. It's unfortunate to see a platform that genuinely helped independent artists come to an end. Thank you to the PlaylistHub team for providing a service that made a difference for artists like me.

It is an interesting site
It is an interesting site. I don't use all the features but it has been helpful getting on playlists. They even put some of my old funky songs on playlists. Overall good.

We’re genuinely sorry you’re dealing with this situation. We understand that having a release removed can be both financially and emotionally stressful. That’s why, when you first contacted us, we refunded your payments as a gesture of goodwill while we investigated the matter.
After reviewing the information you provided and the available Spotify stream data, we have not found evidence suggesting that the curator who placed your track was responsible for the removal of your album.
A few facts stood out during our review:
* CD Baby’s notice specifically references artificial streaming activity detected in March 2026 for the song "I'm grinding".
* The notification from CD Baby was done in June 2nd 2026
* “I’m Grinding” received only one placement from the curator in question, between February 9th and February 27th.
* The curator is active across multiple playlist platforms like Daily Playlists, and we have not identified any reports or evidence of artificial streaming activity associated with them where the playlist itself has received well over 1,000 placements in the last 8 months.
We also observed that “I’m Grinding” passed ~1,000 streams on March 31st, 2026. The sudden increase, the stream count remained almost unchanged for more than 30 days. This type of spike followed by little or no activity is not what we would normally expect from an organic playlist placement and could be the activity referenced by CD Baby - the last placement in PlaylistHub was 9th February 2026 - almost 2 months before this jump.
We have requested Spotify for Artists screenshots and additional information from CD Baby regarding the flagged streams, as this information would help both you and us understand exactly what happened. We are still waiting to receive that information. If there is evidence linking the curator to the activity in question, we absolutely want to review it and investigate it thoroughly.
We also noticed that around the same period, you publicly interacted with services such as "Flowsty" - leaving a 5 star review, were you can buy streams for as low as $5. While we cannot determine whether any specific service was involved here, services that sell, guarantee, or artificially generate streams are commonly associated with the type of activity that can lead to distributor actions and removals.
To be clear, we are not trying to defend any curator, nor are we dismissing your concerns. If a curator was responsible, we would absolutely want to know and take appropriate action. Our goal is simply to establish the facts based on the available evidence.
At this stage, based on the information currently available, we have not found evidence connecting the removal of your release to the curator who placed your track. We remain happy to continue investigating and will gladly review any additional information you receive from Spotify for Artists or CD Baby.
