Scam and predatory parking management

Unfair, automated, and predatory. ParKontrol relies on technicalities to double-charge customers. I paid my full parking fee upfront ($20.45), but entered my license plate with a slight typo. Their dispute process is a joke—they don't look at the facts or the clear proof of payment. They reject your appeal automatically and slap on massive fees, bringing the total to $194.00. They force you to pay by threatening your credit history. Paying this felt like a robbery, but I had to do it to protect my peace of mind. Avoid ParkPaymentHub and ParKontrol entirely.

Unethical

If every company was like this I would be an Communist. I managed to get my fine overturned but what is especially concerning is threatening letter from the Debt Collection Agency saying penalty could rise to £270 and using all sort of legal expressions in order to force payment. This is especially concerning for vulnerable people who will probably be pressured into paying.

I parked and paid using the APCOA app

I parked and paid using the APCOA app. For some reason the app recorded my make of car and not the registration. While I appreciate the discrepancy, I was able to provide a receipt for the exact duration of my stay. But no, Park&Control are too rigid and unhelpful to see sense. The response is an attempt to strong arm me to pay a lower fee, which clearly shows they recognise the claim has merit. Have no dealings with this company, they clearly care very little for fairness or decency.

I was charged a $155 ticket when all…

I was charged a $155 ticket when all there machines were down . There was a line as the kiosks as well with people complaining. I disputed and they declined with a $39 fee on top. Extremely predatory behavior from this company. The review before me is correct and accurate.

Unjust Company

Worst service ever! I received a citation for "non-payment" of parking when the machines were all not working. I tried to dispute it, and it did not get dismissed. Additionally, what they don't tell you in the fine print, is that there is a $39.00 "court fee" that is added onto the citation amount. $200 later and I am writing this review. This company is criminal, unfair, and unjust. It's a shame to even work at such as disgusting and low company. Hoping they go out of business very soon.

Criminal company.

Criminal company.

They say free parking 1h and in small letters they have from Monday to Saturday. The common sense in berlin is parting for free on Sundays, but not for this parking. Avoid them if you can.

SCAMMERS I would give NO STARS if I could

I would give NO STARS if I could. Just received a Debt Recovery letter on behalf of Park & Control from over a year ago!!! The PCN and follow up have never been received but the Collection agency DCBL say we are out of time to pay or appeal the original charge. How's that??? When it was never received in the first place. If they were sent, surely at least one would have reached us. SCAMMERS! - If not, prove me wrong and respond to make this right - PCN PC10061664

Scammed by ParKontrol LTD

I paid for parking at the only available kiosk. No receipt was provided. I attempted to dispute the charge and they declined the dispute. I've been trying to reach someone to escalate, and there's no way to talk to someone. I firmly believe they have record of the payment but are scamming me out of the fine. Don't park in any of their lots!

Scummy, unprofessional, greedy company: AVOID

I used a Park & Control car park in January with a “pay on exit” sign on entry, which then had a “no payment at exit” sign at the exit. I walked around the carpark for half an hour trying to find a way to pay and there were no payment stations, or even any payment information anywhere. I even visited the website on the signage, which also had no payment information. I took photos of the signage as proof as I was worried about receiving a fine.

However, I never received anything, so thought nothing of it… until today, when I had a debt collection agency contact me out of the blue with a “final warning”, threatening legal action if I don’t pay them £170 today. I explained I had never received anything from Park & Control, and wasn’t aware of the fine at all until today. I also explained that I don’t get paid until tomorrow so don’t have the money to pay today. They said there is no flexibility to wait until tomorrow, and also no way to appeal the fine now as it’s past the due date (despite the fact I was never notified about it). The debt company were also unable to confirm why I never received any correspondence from Park & Control.

I am now having to take out a loan to pay for a completely unfair fine which I’m not even allowed to contest. I will never park in that building again, and will warn everybody I know not to park there either.

Unfair Parking Penalties & Slow…

Unfair Parking Penalties & Slow Response to Appeals

I recently had a very disappointing experience with Park & Control. I parked in a lot monitored by them and was unaware of the requirement to display a parking disc, as the signage was unclear at the entrance I used. I was in the store for less than 10 minutes, and when I returned, I had already been fined.

When I tried to speak with the parking attendants, they denied issuing the ticket and told me to file a complaint directly with the company. However, despite submitting an appeal through their website, I have received no timely response. A €35 fine for such a short parking duration seems excessive, especially given that I was a paying customer at the store.

This company appears to focus more on issuing fines than on ensuring clear and fair parking regulations. The appeal process is frustratingly slow, and there is no real opportunity for dialogue or understanding. It feels like a system designed to collect money rather than regulate parking fairly.

I urge Park & Control to improve their communication, clarify their signage, and show more consideration for genuine mistakes—especially in cases where no real harm was done. Their current approach is unfair to customers who make an honest mistake and try to address it properly.

Paid to park in carpark

Paid to park in carpark . Used my bank card . So I have proof that Ive paid . Im not great with computers so can't send them the proof plus why should I show them my bank statement ? A modern company should be able to cross reference the payment .

Very stressful and time consuming experience .
They are still threatening me with debt collectors.
Can't anyone stop these gangsters ?

Parking ticket despite displaying disabled badge

Received two parking tickets for parking in a disable only car park despite displaying a valid disable badge. I have used this car park previously with no problem.
Following my appeal, I received an acknowledgement and then nothing.
I have rung them and mailed them about the result of the appeal, but to no avail. When I enter the parking notice numbers into the web site I am notified that it is wrong identifying number. Is this a scam?

This company is a bunch of thief's

This company is a bunch of thief's. We got a ticket for parking in Lidl's car park in Laufenburg Germany, when we shopped there. There is absolutely no way it took us three hours but received a parking ticket, when the row we were parked in didn't even have any signs about parking duration, and they didnt answer our request for them to prove we parked there for 3 hours
We are taking legal action, this unserious, unscrupulous company invent parking tickets, and rely on you not questioning them, Immoral thief's

Hard to find the words!

Carelessly issue fines without checking systems.
I Received 2 PCNs for 1 nights stay! I Issued proof of payment for over night parking and they only cancelled 1 PCN then sent the other for Dept collection!
- How does that even work!!!
I'm then threatened with Pay or face Court... Is no one watching these companies as they Rob the Public?

Park Royal Hotel Warrington: Tesla Charger

Used the Tesla charger at the The Park Royal Hotel in Warrington Xmas Eve. Didn't realise I had to register my vehicle at reception. Issued with a parking penalty. Used the online chat Shirley cancelled the ticket when I explained. Refreshing to receive such humane customer service. Thank you Shirley
