Thiefs !!!!!!
The're device of money exchange isn't working at all. You are supposed to pay in dollar but finally you pay in Euros and above this they charged you 20 dollar per transaction, Thiefs. No excuse from them, they create the system but it doesn't t work like i should + is not really clear also, so you have to redue the same action several times and pay 20 dollar for each transaction no wonder they can afford big buildings it s with the money of honest working people they made there bank big, what a shame ! Just do go to this bank !!!!! They rob you money with no mercy and the gouvernement let this happen !!!!!!!!
Very frustrating experience and poor internal communication.
I updated my bank account details through their online portal and received a confirmation email. A few months later, I found out they were still trying to charge my old account, which caused missed payments and penalty fees.
When I contacted customer service, they told me the update was “not fully processed” but couldn’t explain why I received confirmation in the first place. It took several calls to fix something that should have been simple.
Google Wallet has been removed
Google Wallet has been removed. Now it's impossible to pay for purchases in stores without a card. The Click-Pie card offered doesn't meet my needs; it's a card for the rich. I demand a refund for Google Wallet.
The bank always wins :-(
After signing up for an online insurance, they connected an old address; we hadn’t lived there for over 10 years. After 1 year they start sending invoice, reminders etc…
Suddenly we receive an e-mail of a collection office.
So we call them, hoping to rectify the situation.
I overestimated the human(e)ness of a bank.
We got no understanding and they stated that our insurance had been cancelled.
So we took hastily another insurance, only to learn that it hadn’t really been cancelled.
Amateurs that lack everything you would expect from a insurance company.
1. Train your phone operators
2. Don’t change customer addresses without asking
Yes it is a good bank
Yes it is a good bank. But not nice the stupid Kate robot. We are not stupid we are human.!
KBC in general is such a so basic bank…
KBC in general is such a so basic bank I don’t think it deserves all of this high ranking, When it comes costumer service they are double faces, there’s a big difference between when you want to apply for a loan or insurance or opening an account, you see that sweetness in service and all kindness from their employees, in the other side of you experience any issues with them, you will start notice that you are not that important for them anymore, their KBC live that doesn’t solve any issues or try to guide you to right path to resolve your issues, employees that are rude on desc if you have an appointment with them (KBC Geel Branch)..ets 😑
I tried to get a loan for the Tesla 0%…
I tried to get a loan for the Tesla 0% interest loan. After completing all requirements, my loan request was declined without any explanation.
This lack of transparency is unacceptable. Customers deserve clear reasons for a refusal, especially when the offer is advertised as a partnership benefit. Instead, I wasted time opening an account that I now do not need.
I expected better communication and customer service from a major bank. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed and I will not recommend KBC to others.
No respect to other people.
It's already 3 months that I can't open an account and get a plastic card in KBC. I tried to do it online 2 times and 3 times I came to the office. How many times do I need to come to the bank office to get my card finally? We're in the 21st century when it is possible and normal to get good service. Or probably KBC bank don't need new clients?
I've just left a comment on the KBC page in Facebook and they've deleted my message in a minute. Nul respect to other people.
They are robbing you of your funds, be careful!
Another bank robbing its customers of their money. I only used the account to manually pay bills and gym fees. I transferred the appropriate amount to the account the day before for the bill that was supposed to be charged to me. Then I receive information that there are insufficient funds in the account, I check and in fact there are a few euros missing, there is no information about the transaction or anything else in the account. They charge me an additional amount for my account every month despite the already agreed amount for maintaining the account, the explanation in the application is "tasks not completed".I call the hotline and ask what tasks I haven't completed. I get incorrect information that it's due to a negative balance after being charged for a subscription I don't have. I explain that the app claims otherwise Then I hear words like "I think" or "I think that"—incompetence, avoiding answers, and evading the question. It's daylight robbery. I don't recommend it, and in fact, I warn against it.
KBC stole 1500 dollars from me
I am deeply disappointed with how KBC Bank handled my recent deposit of USD notes.
Out of 123 × $100 notes, 30 were suddenly valued at only 50% because of alleged “stains/old condition.”
At the counter, staff never mentioned this risk.
In fact, the only notes I was told were “too old,” I immediately took back — proof that I would never have agreed to leave notes at a 50% value.
Later, KBC told me it was impossible to return my notes, and that Brink’s (their cash-handling partner) provides no proof — no photos, no documentation.
KBC even claims they conducted an “investigation,” but the outcome was useless: no evidence, no transparency, just the word of Brink’s and a refusal to take responsibility.
The result? A loss of $1,500, without consent, without proof, and without the possibility to reclaim my own property.
I have escalated this case to Ombudsfin. But I share this here because customers deserve to know how their bank manages something as basic as cash deposits — and because trust in financial institutions depends on transparency and accountability.
Worst bank I’ve ever dealt with
This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. They blocked my account without even informing me when I moved from Belgium to the UK. Since May 2025, I’ve been forced into back-and-forth communication more than five times, and here we are in September 2025, with nothing resolved.
They completely ignore emails, and the only “responses” I ever get are delayed letters that arrive days late. It doesn’t come across as incompetence, it feels like arrogance. As if they know they’re holding all the power and simply don’t care.
Months wasted, zero accountability, and a total contempt for their customers. Easily the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with.
Gross incompetence or deliberate fraud…
Gross incompetence or deliberate fraud by feigned ignorance.
[RESOLVED; there actually was an actual outstanding payment but their referencing on future documents was wrong so it looked as if everything was fine.] (1) They sent me a payment notice for supposedly not having paid an invoice for my insurance of month X—which I did—but they sent the notice with a different reference code compared to the original invoice, which makes it seem as if it pertains an invoice for a different month. However, when looking at the month-to-pay-for in question on the original invoice and the reminder, they are the same. In short, for month X I twice received an invoice: a normal one and a reminder that I haven't paid, but both having a different reference number.
This caused me to pay for the same month twice.
When providing KBC with all the evidence necessary they simply said "We are correct." and continued to try and argue by saying that I paid for month Y, on another date, unrelated to the problem in question. Considering this I'm fairly confident they are simply dumping customer support problems in an AI, which cannot comprehend these detailed complexities.
When having provided proof of payment from my other bank they are using a verbal loophole by merely saying "your invoices were paid", which is correct, but they ignore my every mention of the double payment.
It's insane a client has to engage in legal recourse against their own bank for something this trivial.
(2) Last year I tried to close my (back then) free normal account because I didn't want to pay the €2 monthly fee. Users were warned ahead of time so I reached out months in advance of the actual change. However, during these months I received no reply whatsoever and only after I opened a complaint on "Test Aankoop" they reached out and after too much back-and-forth closed my account.
I want to give zero this is the first…
I want to give zero this is the first bank i have seen who doesn’t provide IBAN number just saying this is your account number start from BE 😀😀😀😀 I don’t really recommend
This is the worst bank I have ever…
This is the worst bank I have ever used. It is like they try to make life harder for the user. I have never hated a bank system before. I can’t buy something easily online on my phone, I cannot transfer the money to my other accounts and countless problem that I can count. Don’t fall to this trap and never be a customer of such a bank!
They made simple mistakes!
I have opened an account with the company recently. However, they have made numerous mistakes! They can not even take my personal information correct! First mistake made with my tax number and then mistake with my nationality. When I plan to transfer my money aboard, I have received a letter to update my personal information. But I could not as their system is rubbish! So I can not even transfer my money!
What a useless bank. Also, there was no instruction when I opened an account, so I don't have information where to access my account. I have to request the card reader and ask where to log in. Very very unpleasant experience!
This bank is a disaster
This bank is a disaster: they don’t communicate with the client, they block in an abusive way the accounts. Avoid this bank
KBC on of the omst recist Bank in…
KBC on of the omst recist Bank in Belgium.
I recently moved to a new apartment and I decided to take insurance from KBC. I gave them the new contract for my new apartment to get fire insurance + familiale insurance. so I paid and all was fine. after 6 months of moving to the new apartment, I noticed that they were not taking money any more from my bank account. so I called them and spoke with them about that. they said they cancelled my insurance a long time ago because I'm not paying it. when I asked them why didn't call me/send me posts about the payment. they said we used to send post to you to your old address (i don't know how they got my old address) they said also I should've informed them that I moved xD. In the first place when I came to them I told them HELLO I moved to this apartment.
So i told them to send me all unpaid invoices i will pay them. They said no head office decided to cancel them as of you are not welcome anymore.
weirdest thing it ever happend to me in Belgium.
Free account is no longer free
Free account is no longer free. Ask for a small loan they refused because my income is not from Belgium. Reply speed is so slow. Only available in Dutch and French. Not expat-friendly bank.
There are no polite words for KBC
There are no polite words for KBC they now charge for a very basic bank account that offers very few benefits. They send out a letter saying it's due to inflation that they now charge for this account tell me what country has inflation at 200% pure greed by KBC a charge of 1.00€ per month would have been fair not this bank it's 2.00€ even more profits for your bank let's forget people who actually struggle on pensions just criminal. A very dishonest bank they lie through and through. I regret every using them best avoided.
