Horrible experience ! I will not recommend to anyone for use . Please avoid if you can .

Very old style and really not following the new development. And does not support Apple Pay.

Since the change Axa/Crelan many NO GO’s like sudden interruptions especially on weekends - out of the blue… getting the simplest actions done seem impossible without assistance from the staff - I’ve had to wait 4 weeks for my replacement card - the staff blamed the BPost service for losing items / no excuses / once they charged me 5€ for getting cash out even though I told them I was expecting my replacement card / no excuses from whoever. Not one sorry for the inconvenience. After the failure of some transactions, the rude customer service, I can’t afford another round. The worst case scenario.

We were AXA customers before, everything was fine. Decent customer support, there were offices in the neighborhood. The app wasn't very feature rich but it was very stable.

Since Crelan took over it seems to have gone to shit. The transfer from AXA to Crelan was a total disaster to begin with. The app it not intuitive and not stable. It's regularly down or doesn't function correctly .

Customer support is very minimal and hard to get a hold off.

Today (19/10/25) there seemed to be issues with Payconiq, at the bakery multiple people had trouble paying but all clients with issues were from Crelan. I've had 2 errors and 1 successful transactions in the end however there were 3 payments gone from my Crelan bank account even though Payconiq history said there only was one transaction. The bakery also confirmed she only saw one transaction and send me a screenshot even.

How can we ever trust that bank again after stupid shit like this? And off course it's weekend so there's no way to get customer support. Only the fraud team is available but they off course refused to help me further.

I'm seriously considering going to another bank and take all my insurances with me.

I would not recommend Crelan.
You can’t do anything online. You always have to make appointments for everything.
Need to upgrade your money for a day, only via appointment.
Papers not correct, make an appointment.
We tried to buy a kitchen last year on a Saterday. It couldnt be done because its not during office hours.
Adjustments in your papers takes a lot of time, up till 3 months… every card you have cost €8/month.
Also the payments for everything is on the end of each month and you can’t adjust this. And if a domicilie can’t be paid, you have to pay again 7€/ transaction…
I’m sorry but costumer service is not great.
They are not reachable from Friday afternoon till Monday and only between office hours…

I would give zero if I could. The woman working in the Eynatten branch is beyond rude and unhelpful.

The below analysis says how i was able to recover from the bad broker with the help of Gaard io that was recommended to my by a friend.

Unresponsive and unhelpful staff, especially the on one at the Louise office. They never acknoweledged my emails or phone calls. While being their customer for about ten yers, I really needed service from them two times and never got it. On top of this the tarfis are very high.

If you are considering obtaining a Crelan VISA card, I strongly advise against it. My experience has been marked by the worst customer service I have ever encountered. It has not functioned like a credit card at all, leaving me extremely frustrated when travelling. In contrast, my previous AXA credit card offered exceptional service and support. It's shocking how quickly one can transition from having the best card to dealing with the worst service. Please think twice before choosing Crelan.

We were banking with AXA. We had access to all our bank transactions on line for the past 4 years and you could download them in pdf or excel format. This enabled us to keep abreast of our yearly tax returns on a yearly basis. With Crelan there is no access to bank transactions further than 9 months in the past. There is no way of downloading a pdf or excel of all these transactions, which makes it impossible to prepare your tax returns. It takes 3 weeks to receive the Excel after you ask your bank manager. The mobile app does not work for more than 60 hours, making it impossible to make any payments on line. We will need to ask our bank manger to perform the payments for us. Incredible!

We have been banking with Centea/Crelan for 2 decades. We've noticed a steady rise in customer service and ease of online banking. There are one or 2 features that ING offers that are not available at Crelan. However, that does not affect the convenience and comfort of being a Crelan customer. Especially with the rapid fall in ING customer service.

This bank is killing you with costs, monthly expenses and has an awful service. Asking politely if I can negotiate my monthly fees, have my account there for over 10 years, the answer was no. Asked for an appointment, no time, no flexibility. Keep your money elsewhere.

We opened a current account when we got a mortgage with Crelan. Their rate was lower than ING at that time. later interest rates went down and we wanted to renegotiate since it would save us 17,000 Euros in interest, more than enough to justify moving back to ING. They agreed to the lower rate but then they did not honor that agreement. We did not find out until 5 years later, by which time we had paid 8000 in extra interest. They said that it was our fault but we did everything they asked? We found the money to pay off the mortgage and are moving our bank account.
