This review concerns one genuine UK order with Hobibear.

I am posting this update on Hobibear's international Trustpilot profiles so customers worldwide can see how my complaint has progressed. I am not claiming to have ordered separately from each country's website.

After approximately three months and around 50 emails, Hobibear has now finally confirmed in writing that they are prepared to issue the full £41.36 refund for the trainers I did not receive.

However, they want me to withdraw my bank dispute first. I have declined to do this.

The £41.36 is simply recovery of the money I paid for goods I did not receive.

My separate complaint regarding three months of chasing, repeated emails, inconvenience and complaint handling remains unresolved, and I have now asked Hobibear management to consider reasonable compensation/goodwill for this.
I will continue updating this review factually as the situation develops, including if Hobibear brings the matter to a satisfactory conclusion.

Given my Horrendous experience, I do not have the energy here to give a detailed explanation. But if you value your sanity, patience and finances, please for the love of God, just avoid them. Sincerely just avoid them.

The original shoe I purchased was not a good fit and I returned/exchanged for another style I have used before. The returns process is a little more complicated than it needs to be and the 2nd shoe style has been updated and the fit is more narrow and seems to have more moulding in the sole than previously.

Very comfortable shoes however for someone with fallen arches have little support. I have noticed if I wear them too much I get knee pain.

This company Hobibear delivered the shoes I ordered but as they did not fit I needed to send them back. They make it virtually impossible to do so - no address for returns, threats that I must pay the shipping costs and customs. I insisted - they suggested I sell the shoes or give them to a friend! They have not emailed me an address to return them to, now say they want photos emailed to prove the shoes are in good condition and photos of the undamaged packaging! The packaging looked like an old torn green plastic bag taped up. I managed to pack them up immediately but now they request photos I will need to undo the packaging again when it was already barely adequate! Don’t deal with tnis company - I’m so glad I didn’t order two pairs for size, I’d now be losing over £70 instead of £35. I doubt they will reimburse me whatever hoops I jump through.

Shoes looks good, but although I bought two pairs in same size, one fits and the other no. Big fail starts when you try to perform the devolutuion, thousand emails, wtf!

I loved how the shoes looked when they arrived, but the sizing is completely off. I had to send them back, and it's been weeks now... Still haven't seen my refund in my account. Honestly getting pretty annoyed at this point.

Shipping for my Hobibear shoes took way too long. They did send a 10% code to apologize which was nice, but I really just wanted the package faster. Hopefully they fix the logistics.

Super weird sizing. I bought two pairs of shoes - one is perfect, the other feels tiny and pinches my feet. Not sure why the consistency is so off? Need to get this sorted.

Love the wide-toe design on these shoes! I popped in my own insoles for extra cushion and my feet have never felt better. Really happy with the comfort level.

where is my money?? its been nearly 2 weeks since i sent the shoes back and still no refund. customer service really needs to step it up.

Wish I had looked at Trustpilot.com before I ordered. The shoes are really uncomfortable and already they're quibbling about refunding my money. I feel like an idiot for falling for the blurb about "barefoot" feeling shoes. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I wish I'd read the reviews here before purchasing! My experience is just the same - I ordered a pair of cute little boots in size 36 but when they came they were too big for me so i asked to return for a refund. What a useless exercise! This company dont like refunds - gift them to a friend (??!), sell them on, keep them and choose another pair ... a seemingly endless list of alternatives which they say are better than returning - better for whom?? They dont make the boots any smaller than a 36 so I cant buy a smaller size. Not that I would now anyway. Goods must be returned in their original packaging to qualify for a refund but when mine were sent to me the sticky tape from the outer wrapping was all over the inner bag which ripped when I tried to open the parcel so no doubt they will claim this invalidates my return. Dreadful Company! Says they are Hobibear Uk but seem to be based in Germany - AVOID this company if you hope to exchange or refund anything you buy from them.

Do not purchase from this company - they do not support returns which for a shoe company is crazy - I ordered two pairs to check size and fit thinking like most companies under law you can return but they delayed sending and confirming details then offered me an alternative they find returns difficult and costly - the package I followed all instructions sent tracked £20 has just been returned to me having had them confirm details with £40 fee required!!!!

I ordered a pair of shoes for my daughter from the hobibear website. They wrote me a couple of days later that that model
was sold out and asked me to pick another one. I did but they responded after a couple of days that the new model I chose wasn’t available either.
I finally asked for a refund and ordered the same model from Amazon. I pay for the next day delivery with prime so the delivery was supposed to happen the following day but it was delayed. Please don’t order this brand online. Worst experience ever.

Do not buy from this company. Shoes are poor quality and come from China so take 2 week plus to arrive.

The sizing is awful, so shoes are too small. I am told via email that returning will be too expensive as their warehouse is in Germany so why dont I "just gift the shoes to someone else?"!! Joke of a company. Avoid at all costs.

Never got my refund after returning them to Germany. I had to pay the return postage. The shoes are poor quality.
Non existing customer service.
They shouldn’t be allowed to trade.

Wish I had read other reviews here before purchasing from this company. Will learn from my mistake and also recommend others to think very carefully before purchasing from these people if not avoid altogether.

They deceitfully market their website as being UK based when in fact they are in China, hence two weeks passing between order and delivery.

Being Chinese based the sizes are erroneously smaller than stated. I ordered a UK 12 which imediately encroaches upon my feet eliminating any barefoot comfort they are meant to provide. These fit more like an 11.5 at best.

Painful experience not going to repeat.
