Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 288 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people encountered significant difficulties with the return policy and refund process, often being offered only partial refunds or facing obstacles when attempting to send items back. Customers frequently reported that returning products was a challenging and drawn-out ordeal, sometimes requiring them to pay for international shipping even for company errors. Numerous reviewers also expressed dissatisfaction with product quality, citing issues like poor construction, synthetic materials, or items not being true to size. However, some customers also noted positive aspects of the products. A minority of people were satisfied with the comfort and style of the shoes, finding them well-made and suitable for their needs. Reviewers appreciated features like flexible soles, good width, or the overall look of certain items.

I wish I knew......

I wish I came here to read the reviews before I purchased the shoes. I had been seeing them on my social media feed with good reviews, so I purchased them. I have a wide foot and even purchasing wide shoes, the toe box is still narrow. So I was excited about the shoes.

When I received the shipping notification I was excited, but that was short lived. I know most products come from China, but I thought it would have come from a facility that the company is based from.

The shoes didn't come in a box, like what I saw on social media. That was a red flag for me. But they fit great. I am concerned with the insole and how well they will hold up, because I do a lot of walking. And if I wanted to return them, these reviews tell me I should give up on that. I see they have a store front on Amazon.

I guess influencers get paid enough to hype up a product. I wish they were a little more forthcoming on the reality of it.

DO NOT BUY!

DO NOT BUY!
Their size chart is way off and I purchased through Hobibear Australia official site but the process is extremely complicated. The worst part is that although I have their shipping advice from China, I HAVE to send to the USA for a refund and PayPal agree with this policy!!
PayPal ‘credited’ me because I was a good customer but please everyone, do not believe their return policy 😡

Shoes did not fit

Shoes did not fit, no way would I be able to wear them. The sizing is way off. In the process of returning with the 30 day return policy. What a joke. First they offer a discount, then a second discount which I declined. Then, in order to get the address to send the return back to them, you have to send pictures. After sending the package they want you to send the tracking number to them! Then, supposedly they process the refund. I'll believe it when I see it. I will have Visa pull back the payment if this takes much longer. What a scam! Do not buy them. Bad business!

Poor quality control

First pair of Hobibear casual shoes were good. They were comfortable and lasted for a reasonable time.
I then decided to buy Hobibears hiking shoes. They lasted about a month when I noticed the gluing around the sole deteriorating. This deterioration has continued to the point that these ostensibly waterproof shoes leaked like a sive and were unwearable on even mildly damp grass. It is a real pity as shoes that are otherwise well designed and well made become unfit for purpose due to the poor quality of the gluing process.

Return run around

This company makes it almost impossible to return a pair a shoes that are way too big and cheaply made. First an email offering to keep the shoes with a refund of 15% which was a discount. Second email wants photos of the shoe top and inside packing and still tries to convince the buyer to keep the shoes for a 20% coupon on the next purchase. Then it is made known that the buy needs to pay for the return shipping. Nothing I saw on their website states that. Shipping costs more than the pair of shoes! I would NOT recommend this company.

Scam please don’t buy

Scam please don’t buy! The shoes arrived and they were incredibly cheap and so wide my 3 year old couldn’t walk. I then tried to return and was told I had to return to Germany but when I pushed them for a returns address they sent me a US address. So dodgy!

Stay away!!!!!!!

Stay away!!!!!!!
Cheap quality shoes, there are more like slippers do can give u pain if used for walking on hard! I bought for work as needed black, i ordered 2 x in different sizes to try thinking I would return one. This company is a joke!!! I paid 43 pound for a pair!!! It cost me another 15 to send back to Germany! Via royal mail tracking service as specified by them! They refuse the parcel now so I still have no refund! The very cheap quality shoes cost me now 60 quid! They want you to.pay "shipping costs" which is customs duties and vat and whatever else is involved with importing goods from China! They are selling from UK website misleading that you can return in 30 days! I had to escalate via peypal to get return address at all! A month now still no refund! They offered to refund once they received the shoes back but obviously they have no intention of accepting them back!! Anybody buying from them beware! Iveish I've added any of negative reviews before I bought anything from them, unfortunately I could see only positive! Wonder who was writing them!!!!

Bought 2 pairs hoping to try and…

Bought 2 pairs hoping to try and return. They cost over £80. When arrived the fit was not good. Emailed for return and was told would have to pay for return, had to send photographs or options was a 10% refund price and keep shoes. They kept encouraging me to resell the shoes. Said I did not need them. Still insisting I keep them.
Then said would issue with a 30 % refund. It was like an automated email. Not helpful with returns. Like they were determined not to arrange return so now stuck with two pairs of shoes that I can’t wear and £60 loss.
