It is very easy to use and edit. It has given me very impressive and quality results!

This application is awsome, great experience so far.

I’ll start with what’s good. The content production process is well structured, and the video quality is very good, particularly when using the Seedance model.

Now for the bad:

The video agent is very buggy. It will sometimes tell you that you’re out of credits even when you still have hundreds available. It can also get stuck in “Thinking” mode, and when that happens, it can take 24+ hours to reset.

Support was okay. They did try to work with me and even restored some of my credits. However, the underlying problems with the video agent weren’t really addressed, so I kept running into the same issues.

The video agent frequently adds content that isn’t in the script. When it was working, it would sometimes create completely new scenes that appeared out of nowhere. And, as is often the case with AI, fixing one error requires additional credits. Almost every change I made would either break something that was already working or introduce new content that wasn’t in my original script. This resulted in having to spend even more credits fixing the new problems.

Finally, if you're scrolling through the agent chat, it would start generating a new video without any triggers.

I think this platform has a lot of potential. It’s well organized, easy to use, and the rendering engine produces great results. HeyGen just needs to work out the reliability issues with its video agent.

I’ve invested money in this product, and after several days of trying, I still haven’t been able to complete my 2-minute video testimonial. I guess that loss is on me.

For comparison, their competitor, Zeely, isn’t as robust when it comes to video features, but it has been much more reliable for me when generating videos. I haven’t experienced the same issues.

So, while I really like what HeyGen is trying to offer, I think it could be a great service once they improve the reliability of the video agent. I’ll probably come back to it in the spring and give them some time to work out these issues.

It's everything they advertised it to be. I'm thoroughly satisfied.

There are some issues, but the product is good for the money. Biggest issue I have is that the voice doesn't match the scene. The voice always sounds like it's 6 inches from the mic in a recording booth. It's too perfect, which breaks the scene when you're in a room that should have some acoustic reverberation, or when the camera isn't sitting on the avatar's mouth.

Other than that, it's decent.

While I have no complaints about the quality of the avatar generation itself, the company’s recent pricing practices are absolutely unacceptable and dishonest.Within the last 3 months, they essentially inflated the cost of their service massively through sneaky changes. Previously, you could generate thousands of minutes for a reasonable price. Then, they switched to a system where $29 got you 600 credits, with a rate of 3 credits per 1 minute of video.However, they recently changed the rate to 7 credits per 1 minute without updating the text on their website. The pricing page literally still stated it was 3 credits per minute, but they were secretly charging more than double behind the scenes. Changing the pricing rules mid-subscription while keeping misleading information on the website is a textbook definition of cheating the customer.I am giving them 1 star for deception and dishonest business practices. Be very careful before giving them your money.

Excellent App. faster and easy

Using my cloned voice it never keeps the sound level the same across multiple scenes - nothing I do fixes it - it is not as easy as just prompting and getting quality results - there is no reason for varied quality and sound across the same video.

Very realistic. It is by far the best tool for avatar creation. I wish it was a bit less expensive...

Great experiencie but they can improve.
I’ve been using HeyGen for two years, and I’ll keep using it. I found them because they are the best at translating content from one language to another. But I think they’ve lost their focus. They’re trying to add and improve features that are really just supplementary—whereas I, for one, use them solely for translating videos into other languages. You could say they’ve stagnated; they’re still the best at translation, and they offer an all-in-one solution—language switching while keeping the original voice, lip-syncing, and so on—but they’re at the exact same stage they were a year ago; they haven’t improved those core features any further. And nowadays, if I handled those tasks separately, I’d get better results. My point is this: it’s not that they *can’t* improve, it’s that they *don’t want* to. I keep choosing them because it’s convenient and suits my needs, but I’d love for them to refocus on being the best at video translation and stop fighting battles that aren't their core business—things like AI clipping, video upscaling, image generation, AI video generation, etc. We already have Higgsfield, Fal.ai, and other tools for that—tools that will always be superior in those areas. Personally, I choose them for video translation, not for all the extras; even though they offer those features, I prefer using Higgsfield or Fal.ai because they let me choose from a variety of engines and offer far more options. In short, they’re losing their status as the best in one area by being mediocre in the others. Please, don’t neglect your core strength. I hope they read this and act on it, because I don’t want to have to switch to a dedicated tool for this in six months.

Is there a feature — which I may simply not have found yet — that allows users to replace the text appearing within an original video with translated text in another language, so that viewers can read it in their own language?

I am referring to the text that is part of the video itself, rather than just subtitles.

I would be delighted if HeyGen offered such a feature.
